Show me a club of our level or above that lost 4 key players for free in two summers. If you can find any it won't be many. These things don't 'just happen', not on this scale, they happen due to incompetence.
Unless mistaken, all 4 players had contract offers on the table well before they where coming to an end.
There seems to be a consensus from a lot of people that Rovers just did nothing. None of us know the finer details, but what we do know is each player decided not to sign what was put in front of them. What more do you want??

Here we go, disappointment incoming
A report referring to us as “the riversiders” I’ll take as a pinch of salt 😁- 6

Very hard watch that. We lack a midfielder with any composure or the ability to pick out that killer pass in the final third. Our strikers very erratic in front of goal summed up with our goal taking a big deflection.
As delighted as I am with the win today and 3 points, I left Ewood very frustrated. Arguably the worse side I’ve seen this season, we made bloody hard work of it.

I’m torn on how to view things. 2nd in the league and 6 home wins on the spin is above expectations. But the defensive mentality of being happy to sit further and further back protecting a lead is not how I like my teams to play. But as they say….it’s a results business.

So much to hate about that performance. As a former striker you’d think JDT would be offensive minded but we are so cautious from an attacking perspective. Needing a goal to get back in the game on a number of occasions we just have one player in the box with no midfielders making runs forward.
Vale and Hirst where hopeless, I hate Travis at right back and Brittain at left back and to only make those changes at 80 mins is mind blowing.
Fingers crossed Hedges and Gally are fit for Saturday.

I’ve enjoyed JDTs interviews to date, will be interested to hear his take on tonight’s performance. An absolute shit show from start to finish.

Outstanding last night right from minute one. I’m not going to bother repeating all the positives everyone has posted already, just a couple of “constructive” comments….
As much as I like Wharton, he has this annoying tendency to try and over play sometimes. On two occasions last night (a sloppy pass and then a header right at the end of the first half) nearly cost us a goal last night. He has history of this and needs to stamp it out. He has all the qualities to be a top quality player.
Can anyone clear up the disallowed goal for Watford? Surely not offside and odd that the linesman would flag for an infringement.

There is one outstanding candidate who’s been barely mentioned - Sean Dyche
There is also no reason why he should not be approached and at least asked the question. He can always say no
Either way he’s the best man who is available and out of a job, including Farke. And as a bonus it would annoy Burnley fans intensely
What not to like?
The wage for starters. Was he not on near 100k a week at the dingles? Outstanding candidate yes, but an unrealistic I’m afraid.

Absolutely terrible performance tonight. I genuinely can’t think of one player who would get above a 5 out of 10 (potentially Downing only). We got away with it big time tonight,

Only just seen the highlights. Isn’t football a funny game with everyone seeing the same incidents in different ways. Never a penalty in a million years and how the ref gives a red card is beyond me.
outstanding resilience and effort from the lads second half. No doubt that this group have great belief.

I always say judge after 15/20 games. Well 15 games in and we’re 4 points off the top!! Felt brilliant that win.

To come through these 2 games with 4 points considering our absentee list is an outstanding effort. Credit to TM, staff and all the players.

Surely I’m not reading complaints after a clean sheet?....
all this talk of Warnock being a top manager...can’t even beat a team without 9 first team players out....

TM has already "had a period of time" hasn't he?
As I said earlier, I’m not bothered about the past. In Kaminski, Douglas and Ayala we have significantly improved our defence in my opinion. Get them playing consistently together and we will see an improvement that in sure of.

5 hour trip down the motorway to South Wales.
Good job he isnt the manager at Carlisle - 702 mile round trip to Exeter yesterday.
His constant excuses and negative behaviour is having a detrimental effect on the club, the players and it's fanbase.
Carlisle got beat....and the constant negativity of our fan base is having a detrimental affect on the team ? -

So what was the excuse all last season and the first 5 games of this season?
I don't dispute the suggestion that the number of absences is a problem. But conceding soft goals is a recurring problem irrespective of personnel.
I’m not bothered about the past. I’m looking at the present and future state. In Kaminski, Douglas and Ayala I honestly believe we have significantly strengthened our back line (disagree?) The problem is we have not been able to play them all together. The key to a solid defence is consistency in selection over a period of time.

Anyone that doesn’t acknowledge the players we have out as impacting our results/performances is showing a complete lack of understanding of the game (or most likely just using to fuel their Mowbray out agenda). To think you can just roll out 11 players every Saturday and Tuesday and get a result with no time to plan and prepare is quite frankly ridiculous. I’m not for one minute excusing some of the mistakes we have made (nor has the manager I might add).
I honestly believe when we get a fully fit 11 on the pitch and have them playing together consistently for a number of weeks we have a team that compete to be top 6. Let’s judge then.

Like I said we'll know how good we are this time next week. Beat Reading and Swansea and we'll be looking good to go. I'm sorry but I'm not getting carried away with caning Wycombe.
We’ll know how good we are after 46 games....

Half the problem here is that Mowbray appears to be very relaxed about the situation as he has been since promotion. If we get who we want great but if not then oh well better luck next time.
Does not give the impression of a man under any pressure or expectation, nor a man desperate to drag the club kicking into the promotion picture.
Frustrating to say the least.
So you’d prefer seeing him have a nervous breakdown during interview?
Not really sure how a mangers emotions on missing out on players impacts anything really...

Just shows how desperate we are for reinforcements.
I’d feel quite a lot better with a centre back in, and ideally a left back.
Is Kipre this season’s Bauer? All our eggs in one reluctant basket followed by a late loan?
Let’s hope the end result is someone of the same quality as Tosin....
-
Whoever made this whole rumour up must be p!ssing themselves!! Let’s all be sensible for a second and actually contemplate the thought of folking out 40/50k a week on his salary....and now back to the real world...

If I see a single negative post tonight after that performance.....OUTSTANDING

So the game in which many people on here described as “must win” and “no excuses” from Mowbray was a pretty comfortable affair. Had it not been for the woodwork and some poor finishing it could quite easily have been 5 or 6.
10th place, 3 league wins on the bounce and 6 points off the playoffs. Pinch me now!!
