I'm assuming that would be a loan (Coventry paid £5M for him not so long ago) to play the Pickering role as a more tucked in full back (allowing Beck to play further forward) and also cover centre back

Everyone we sign, we get a pudding.
Maybe that's a ploy to tempt Waggott into opening the purse strings?

Perhaps in a similar way, I used to think Kenny was deliberately indecipherable in front of a microphone. I don’t think he cared for being interviewed and that was his way of getting his own back on having to do all that bollocks.
This is something I always thought too.

That gives us a total 42.9% chance of finishing in the top 6. Which would probably be a fair shout based purely on the data from the season so far. What Opta of course can't factor in is Venkys fucking us in this window whilst other teams strengthen.
Opta need a better supercomputer then, if it cannot predict an annual certainty, then it isn't much of a supercomputer in my eyes 😉

Didn't Brittain do well as a cm for Barnsley?
No
Although apparently the only game he did play in midfield was against Rovers

How did his loan go? I think he joined on a month's loan initially and then it was extended through to Jan.

3 goals in 14 games playing mainly in the Tronstad role. Macclesfield top of the division by some distance

What happened to the Portuguese left winger from Getafe/Girona who did well in a friendly Vs us
Girona's wingers were Viktor Tsygankov & Savinho
If its a Girona player then he is likely playing in the Champions League these days
Savinho is at Man City

What's the source of this one? Reliable or no?
Not a clue how reliable the source is, I just did a bit of quick digging on the player after someone else posted the link to him

Apparently he is a fast, left footed wide player, 22 years old, French/Egyptian. Still has 2.5 years left on his contract, so would probably cost more than Rovers are offering

If its the same 0.2% of simulations then I'm definitely there for it

I always imagine the super computer looking like the one in Willy Wonka where Tim Brooke Taylor is asking it where the last Golden Ticket is.
Its more exciting than it just being essentially an excel spreadsheet 😉

James Edmondson (midfielder) recalled from loan at Macclesfield
That's our Baker replacement sorted then 😉

Edmondson recalled, confirmed by Macclesfield, not by Rovers

I think he's a really good player. Do you not?
Jones is another with little end product
Less goal involvements than Dolan in the 5 years he has been in the championship (from slightly more minutes than Dolan too), and none at all this season
He has pace, which is useful, but that's about it

Starts this evening for
Vale drew 0-0 - Vale played the first 60odd minutes before being subbed off with the game at 0-0 in his first start since returning from injury.
Saadi - drew 2-2 - Saadi has now started the last 6 in all competitions, Its only Cyprus, and given that an aging Matt Derbyshire did "ok" there in his spell at AEK before moving to Bradford in League 2, I am guessing that it is probably on some sort of par with the 4th tier here, but he is doing ok for himself there by the looks of things.

They didn’t need to give permission for him to play in the FA cup.
Whilst I think you are correct as per rules and regs, I would imagine there is essentially a "gentleman's agreement" that clubs check with the parent club before cup tying loan players, and whilst the club could technically (and legally) just play the player anyway, it may sour any future business relations between the 2 parties

We haven't got any Szmodics' or Wharton's left to sell.
New owners would still have to find that £10m (at least) plus cover annual operating losses for a while
Its what owners with a bit of gumption would have done last season. Technically speaking Venkys could still do that now. But they wont

I think that's a fairly optimistic take.
Not at all,
Sell Wharton, Szmodics etc for close to £40M
Invest £10M of said £40M in new players with a bit of potential, use the rest of the profits to fund losses (so that the owners do not have to)
Sell some of the new players in a few years time
Rinse and repeat
