  1. Suppose that comes down to how good/bad we expect players to be when signed for relative buttons Also, for all we know, on one hand, he may have been recommending numerous other players, who Rovers were then subsequently outbid on, so we moved onto the D/E tier list, or the players we signed may have been his A tier picks
  2. Senior first team scout, Piotr Sadowski, has left the club this month. https://www.linkedin.com/in/piotr-sadowski-4184a8a0/?originalSubdomain=uk He only arrived in February, another who was sold a bag of magic beans?
  3. Fair comment, I have edited my previous post
  4. Not to disagree with your post, I basically agree with what you have said. But.... This summer it was the same %, However we have had multiple seasons preceding this one where we have offloaded Wharton, Szmodics, got the Raya money, and reinvested basically none of it. Remember that incommings do not impact Rovers budget, our budget is for some reason set in stone and cannot be altered increased ever. So if we are to take Rovers/Gestede/Pasha at face value (I know, I know), we have only spent that % this summer by pure coincidence, and our past transfer income vs expenditure does back that up Edited as per Wilsden
  5. Gross They brought in about £30M selling Nunez, Sainz & Rowe, so still had a net transfer profit, but can you imagine our lot spending that % of the Szmodics/Wharton/Raya money?
  6. Difference is that their summer dross cost them upwards of £25M 😉 I'm not sure which is worse? flushing that amount of money down the drain or spending £2.63 and a bag of chips on Rudy Randoms
  7. If they back him financially like they did Manning during the summer, then I could see them doing very well under him They did just spent a lot of money (generated from sales) on rubbish during the summer, so maybe they have run out?
  8. can't imagine either of those is on the list, Ismael seems to be all in on wing backs now, so is probably happy with Hedges De Neve as his options there Imagine the shopping list is (Rudys shopping list, not mine) a centre back or 2 (one of which may be O'Riordan being recalled), a striker (probably with Gueye being offloaded) right wing back cover (which may be Duru if they can recall him) possibly a new central midfielder if they can get one cheap enough or unload Tronstad before his contract expires for what they consider an acceptable fee All cheap punts from overseas
  9. Can you chat to them? Ask for a January (and summer) warchest, and Pasha to be sacked 😉
  10. I think he will get signings in January, they will from overseas and will be of the ilk of De Neve, Tavares, Kargbo etc, although we may drop lucky and get another Alebiosu We will then see just how much Ismael is signed up to the current model. Personally I think he has been drinking the Rudy/Pasha Kool Aid and will be perfectly happy with this. Which will only change in the unlikely scenario that Rovers go on a significant winning run and his stock rises enough to allow him to move to a non basket case club.
  11. The current ione is an achilles injury It was an achilles injury in 2020, his last injury in 2024 was an ACL
  12. Goddard is injured (or was in September, and hasn't played since) "Elsewhere, Felix Goddard is set to be sidelined due to injury"
  13. Starts this evening for Barrett - won 2-1 (EFL trophy) - played the full game On the bench Olson - lost 6-2 (EFL trophy) - subbed on after 13 minutes with the score at 0-0 Not involved in matchday squad O'Riordan - won 3-1 (EFL trophy) O'Grady-Macken - lost 6-2 (EFL trophy) Game postponed Edmondson
  14. If it is the £10K/week mark, then its well above top end of League 1 level, which isn't much more than half of that (not including teams like Birmingham last season etc), however it is on the same sort of level as Huddersfield, Rotherham and Plymouth when they were last in the Championship - note they all went down with that level of wage budget No doubt if and when relegation occurs, they will again cut their cloth "accordingly"
  15. He was also a regular starter for them during their promotion season from League 2 (albeit missed half the season with 2 seperate injuries) so cant be that bad. Its his injury history more so than performances I think, hence the non contract move to non league to prove fitness & put him in the shop window. Similar to what Lenni Cirino did before getting a move to league 2
  16. Those sites are pure guesswork and can be edited as easily as wikipedia. You would genuinely be better off looking at the Football manager games for estimates
  17. Yep, he was one of Brougtons last flurry of re-signings along with Adam Wharton & Szmodics, which whilst I agree he wouldn't be on £15K/week, this was before the taps where turned off fully so he may well be around the top of the current pay scale (similar story to Pears in that he is probably on about what he is worth by Championship standards, but by Rovers standards, is probably towards the top of our earners)
  18. Maybe not after last nights display 😉 But it would make sense, Preece spoke after Pratt was recalled of a growing relationship between Chorley & Rovers, and Barr has obvious connections
  19. Former U23 coach Billy Barr is now the manager at Workington Reds, & has brought in former Rovers U21 Tyler Magloire to join him in the 7th tier. Without checking, I think they would know each other from their time at Rovers, and wonder if we may see a reunion of some other former U21/U23 players at Workington?
  20. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/november/10/report--rovers-under-21s-1-4-derby-county-under-21s/
  21. Well that's me tuning out, New regime off to a flyer, 3-0 down after 10 minutes, at home against a side that was bottom of the league with 1 point before today. Every time Kahn starts, he seems to concede a bagful
  22. Pratt is left footed, so may be seen by Ismael as a more natural fit as cover for an injured Wharton than Atcheson & Litherland who are both right footed. He is also a couple of years older than them and probably physically stronger than them too. He did miss a large chunk of the previous 2 seasons with injury which is probably why he hasn't progressed beyond a loan at Chorley so far in his career Atcheson & Litherland both probably have higher ceilings than Pratt & are both much better on the ball than him, especially Litherland, although as was mentioned earlier Litherland is currently injured anyway Edit - Litherland on the bench this evening for U21s - score/update (Owen Beck starts for Derby)
  23. U21s at home to Derby this evening - Preview Brandon Powell shortlisted for PL2 player of the month
  24. Midweek games for our loanees Tuesday 7pm (EFL trophy so Barrett & Olson may actually play, these are live on Sky Sports +) O'Riordan - score/update Barrett - score/update Olson & O'Grady-Macken - score/update Tuesday 7:45pm Edmondson - score/update
  25. Maybe two seasons too soon
