Rover posted incorrect details on their official story (not sure if this was accidental or deliberate, neither would be a surprise), Bold parts below are the most pertinent https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25406730.clarity-blackburn-rovers-deal-transfer-confusion/ Leo Duru has left Blackburn Rovers on loan Leo Duru's loan move from Blackburn Rovers to San Diego FC has caused confusion after the two clubs released contrasting information. The American youth international has joined the Major League Soccer club to gain more first-team experience. Duru had a productive loan at Barrow in the second half of the 2024/25 season. However, he returned to Rovers injured after picking up a foot problem at the end of his spell with the League Two side. That delayed his start to pre-season, and he didn't feature in any of Valerien Ismael's squads. Instead, Duru was earmarked for another loan and Rovers confirmed his move to San Diego on Wednesday, citing that the deal runs until mid-October, when the MLS season ends. However, San Diego stated that the deal ran until June 2026 and the deal included an option to buy. That has left Rovers fans confused. The Lancashire Telegraph understands that the initial loan does run until December, which is when the MLS play-offs end. However, there is an option to extend that loan deal until June and there is every expectation that will be taken up. The agreement also includes an option for San Diego to buy Duru at the end of his deal, understood to be a six-figure sum. The 20-year-old signed a new contract with Rovers in 2024, which runs until the summer of 2026 with the option of a further 12 months. The MLS season runs from late February until October every year. So Duru will spend the rest of this campaign with San Diego and the likelihood is that he'll be there for pre-season and the start of next season too. Duru made his debut for the USA Under-20s last year and therefore decided to make the move despite interest from clubs in League One and League Two. The Academy graduate has made three first-team appearances for Blackburn in his career, with his Championship debut coming in the dying embers of the East Lancs derby against Burnley last August. San Diego currently sit top of the Western Conference division following 16 wins from their 27 game so far this season. Edit - I have a feeling that because of FIFA and/or international transfer/squad regulations, even if his loan did end in October, he cannot return outside of a transfer window anyway (or at least cannot play for us until the window reopens), so the earliest he can be back with us is January, although Wilsden is probably the man to check with on that

Rated more highly than Tyjon but Chido Obi Martin turned down £15K-£20K/week at Arsenal as a 16 year old * to sign for Man Utd for more than £30K/week To one of those clubs, or Chelsea, Man City etc, £10K/week for a player to see if he maybe makes it is chicken feed * agreed in advance for when he turned 17 in November last year
-
Probably true, I would be amazed if he is The only reason he would have to stay is if he is going to play first team football, which we have seen he isn't ready for So it makes all the sense in the world for him to go to a team where he will be paid in excess of £10K/week to play for the U21s and/or be loaned out It's not as if he is a Rovers lad, or has been here long. Seeing as he only joined us from Rochdale in November 2023 As it stands, even out of contract, Rovers will make a sizable profit on him as they have offered him a contract, just a shame that those profits will be used primarily to pay the gas bill

Valérien Ismaël: Blackburn Rovers Head Coach
KentExile replied to DE.'s topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
The summers recruitment was obviously geared towards a back 4, and 1 solo striker up top, otherwise at least 1 extra centre back and 1 extra striker would have been on the shopping list, as well as genuine competition at right wing back for Alebiosu (or yet another centre back to allow Miller to play there) However, our run of losses and bad performances prompted a formation switch, which probably suits our best 11 at the moment, but means we have no cover in several areas, and an overload of left backs to sit on the bench -

Without seeing a link, I am inclined to think that you may either be misreading something or hallucinating 😉 -

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25570182.ismael-explains-absence-hot-blackburn-rovers-prospect/ Valerien Ismael believes Igor Tyjon 'isn't ready' for Blackburn Rovers' first team and needs longer to adapt to senior football. The 17-year-old was earmarked as a player who could make the step up from the Academy and contribute this season. However, his game time has been limited with his only start coming in the Carabao Cup. Championship minutes have not been forthcoming and the England youth international has only been on the bench twice, last in August against Hull City. With Ismael last week doubting the impact of Makhtar Gueye, supporters have naturally questioned whether Tyjon should be given an opportunity. However, the head coach feels the teenager isn't ready to make an impact in the first team. "He's a player who is still young, 17 years old," Ismael told BBC Radio Lancashire before the Southampton game. "He has a long way to go. He is not ready for what we expect which is normal. He needs more time and that's it. "He is focused on the national team with the World Cup which is very important for him. He is not ready for us right now, we have assessed him a lot. "The statistics show he needs more time. That's why he has a lot of games with the 21s which helps him to develop, he is only 17 years old." Tyjon remains under contract at Rovers until the end of the season after signing a two-year scholarship. He has been eligible for his first senior contract since March and whilst it's understood the club have offered one, it has yet to be signed. Ismael was also pressed further on his comments about Gueye, who was then an unused substitute against the Saints. The Rovers boss was not as damning in his assessment when quizzed on his view. "I think it's important that everyone who comes in, whether it's five minutes, 10 minutes, they are doing the same effort in the right direction," he explained. "He works hard and tries to do the things well. Some situations were unlucky for him but he keeps working and that is the main thing."

Blackburn manager Valerien Ismael expects Moussa Baradji to make his debut after the next international break in November. Note that he doesn't state just how much "after" the November break, so that statement covers any date until the end of the season 😉 -
Ah, apparently his middle name is "Ifeanyichukwu"

https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/october/27/report--rovers-under-21s-2-0-manchester-city-under-21s/ Not sure if this is by mistake or because he has changed his name, but the lineup in Rovers report has "Chukwu" in place of "Joseph" from last weekends game Ashley Phillips was originally a different surname (Famuyiwa) when he first appeared, or is it an admin F up

Jordan Rhodes =Loans Manager
KentExile replied to philipl's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Not to say that this makes Jordan Rhodes a good (or bad) choice as Rovers loan manager, but shows that even at well run clubs (who do not penny pinch), recently retired former players (with no experience) are often the go to choice for this role That being said, the loans which have been sanctioned this season, both before and after Rhodes took charge, have been underwhelming in the main -

player manager maybe Although I think that's another exaggerated one, he had Rovers in a football manager save once, hardly his fave football manager team. He has also managed Arsenal & Newcastle apparently -

KentExile replied to arbitro's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
yes, that is the story, but that story is a little exaggerated The below is a closer to reality, from his wiki Still has stated that playing the Football Manager and Championship Manager video game series helped him to decide to switch focus from playing at the age of 17, and move to England to start studying to become a coach at Myerscough College in Preston -

Unfortunately, he will want more than our self imposed wage cap, and he will get more elsewhere, with ease I imagine Wrexham have Hyam phoning Toth on a daily basis telling him how nice it is in Wales -
fixed for you 😉

Your reasoning is sound, obviously with that pay cap we cannot and will not be paying a reserve (keeper or otherwise) £10K/week Which is why we will end up with a cheap foreign punt (once Toth goes elsewhere for double his current wage, as he will not be signing for longer on £10K/week) with Goddard/Michalski as backup. Pears will obviously need to be sold too, in case the cheap foreign punt is any good, so that he doesn't ask for a wage rise quite so soon
