  1. If he is on circa £10K/week (give or take a grand or 2), then as mad as it sounds, he is probably being paid relative to his ability by Championship standards (ie squad player), however, at the same time that would mean that he is also being paid far more than he is worth when compared to his teammates, as we have the ridiculous £10K/wek self imposed pay cap
  2. £10K/week in Championship terms is a "squad player" level salary, even when ignoring outliers (parachute payment teams) This is why Rovers refuse to compete for established Championship players, and instead look for cheap punts from overseas, and is also why ultimately we are only heading in one direction
  3. He was originally brought in as Pears understudy, so that is certainly true I said during the summer this is why they were hell bent on trying to get Pears out of the club, as it would then leave Toth as the highest paid keeper on our books and mean that Toth could not then cite wanting to be paid at least as much as his understudy during any contract negotiations. The fact that Pears was straight back in the squad as soon as the window closed, only confirms this was the case Pears is a decent reserve keeper at this level, Toth is obviously better, any normal club would be giving Toth a contract on what he is worth and keeping Pears as back up. Rovers will probably end up selling Toth (or maybe even both of them) & bringing in a cheap guy from overseas (coin flip if that will be another Toth or another Wahlstedt) and Michalski/Goddard as his back up
  4. Pretty certain its still John Prince (Head of Academy Coaching). He was originally meant to be in charge until a replacement for Sheron was sorted out
  5. Presumably you saw this somewhere? If so, care to post a link?
  6. He is doing ok in League 1, but he is still prone to the odd error (normal for a 21 year old) Personally think he (and Rovers) would be better served in the long term with him staying on loan for the rest of the season, and us getting another experienced head (or 2) through the door to help us see out the season That being said, I fully expect him to be recalled in January as he will be cheaper than any other options
  7. Suspect if they were not, then they would get Jackson/LT treatment
  8. its up now, refresh the page peeps
  9. Should still be able to see the buttons, it would just say is "unavailable in your location" (or similar) when you click them Someone at the club hasn't published the web page properly
  10. Is it just me who cannot see the "match centre" on Rovers site, so cannot access the stream
  11. Chris Samba also has 2 of his kids in the Man City academy and you are right that Matty Warhurst definitely not related to Paul
  12. Yep, they are now in recovery, we are still on the way down
  13. and that was before the goalkeeper quit
  14. U21s won 2-0 vs Man City earlier - Tyjon (pen) & Powell with the goals Higgins played the first half for U18s who lost 2-1 away to Leeds - Kelley-Quinn with a late consolation for Rovers
  15. Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - drew 1-1 - played the full game Edmondson - won 1-0 - played the full game Wood - won 2-1 - scored the opening goal before being replaced after 86 minutes with the score at 2-1 On the bench Barrett - drew 1-1 - remained on the bench throughout Pratt - lost 2-0 - subbed on after 42 minutes with Chorley down to 10 at 0-0 Farkas - won 2-1 - very little info on this one, no idea if he got any minutes Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - drew 2-2 - Olson not included even on the bench despite Oldham missing one of their first choice centre backs via a suspension, & O'Grady-Macken is yet to even be named on the bench, although a report here that he may be injured, both utterly pointless loans Duru - won 2-1 - not sure if this is common knowledge but the MLS play off rounds (or at least this round) work in a "best of 3 series" format rather than using aggregate score, interesting, but strange. This result means San Diego are 1-0 up v Portland. Strange competition rules aside, I am hoping that his lack of game time means a return to Rovers in January, where given our budget, he in theory could in time be a useful back up to Alebiosu There are 2 midweek games, both on Tuesday, but based on their previous appearances, both seem unlikely to feature our players as any more than subs Barrett - score/update Farkas - score/update
  16. If Elliott can save us on football manager, does he get unbanned?
  17. I am not sure that they have any pride or sense of shame that would mean that would matter
  18. Its the Jack Walker stand that the TV cameras face these days, may as well make it visible to a larger audience for the whole game
  19. Well aware of that, but that was during the international break & had no bearing on him being available for Rovers or not. The U17 tournament will impact his availability (not that he is ready for anything more than a cameo role in the first team squad anyway) https://www.englandfootball.com/articles/2025/Oct/12/england-mens-under-18s-v-france-match-report-20251210
