I believe that as any Kortrijk players are now playing in the 2nd tier in Belgium rather than the first, they would now no longer qualify for a standard work permit, and would need an ESC unless their international appearances dictate otherwise I think we can switch Toth from an ESC to a GBE work permit in January to free up 1 slot, but he would be the only one who could be switched (Kargbo, Henriksson & Baradji are the other 3) I await Wilsden's response 😉

If there is an option to buy then the terms have already been agreed and signed off by both clubs, the player, agent etc The only way he doesn't sign is if Rovers do not trigger the option, which given who runs the club, is a possibility There is the possibility that he is one of the stand out players in the Championship and a club with more finances fancies taking him, in this case he would still be legally obliged to sign for Rovers first (assuming they trigger the option), who would then sell him on at profit.
