  1. Igor Tyjon made an instant impact off the bench as England Under-18s battled back from 2-0 down to draw 2-2 with France’s Under-18 Apologies for the shouty bold text, I just copied and pasted from the story on Rovers site
  2. The lad is made out of biscuits or something,, injured again Shame for him
  3. As opposed to getting him to sign a new contract at the going rate
  4. which means less chance of signing him to a new contract & more chance of him being sold
  5. Starts tonight Its only against Armenia, but a win will see Hungary leapfrog them in the table, he may now be first choice keeper for them I think
  6. Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - lost 4-0 - played the full game - Connor O'Riordan 4 - Shaky showing. Back in the side but perhaps ring-rust contributed to his loose, early pass which Ballard gobbled up before firing home. Didn't get a great deal better thereafter Edmondson - won 1-0 - subbed off on 83 minutes whilst 1-0 up Wood - won 4-3 - played the full game & scored the 3rd On the bench Olson - drew 0-0 - remained on the bench throughout Barrett - lost 2-0 - remained on the bench throughout Pratt - drew 3-3 - came on at half time with Chorley 2-0 down Farkas - drew 1-1 - remained on the bench throughout Not involved in matchday squad O'Grady-Macken - drew 0-0 No game this weekend Duru
  7. I have no idea what you mean, he has played well over 1.5 games of Championship football 😉 https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/kristi-montgomery/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/719680/plus/0?saison=&verein=&liga=&wettbewerb=GB2&pos=&trainer_id= I have every confidence that he will reach 2 games worth of minutes by the time the window reopens
  8. This weekends games for our loanees 3pm Saturday O'Riordan - score/update - trained this week and is "back in contention" - live on Sky Sports + Barrett - score/update - live on Sky Sports + Edmondson - score/update Pratt - score/update Wood - score/update Farkas - score/update 5:30pm Saturday Olson & O'Grady-Macken - score/update - live on Sky Sports +
  9. Which I am sure is what the majority on here would think However, the self imposed wage restrictions do seem to mean that the only players who are willing to sign contracts with us fall into at least one of the following categories - young academy graduates - unknown quantities from abroad - players with questionable injury histories - fans of the club - players who are not good enough - such as the numerous wide players that have not been able to oust Hedges from his spot in the team The fact that even when they tried, they couldn't tie down a soon to be 30 year old, very average (at best) Championship performer Hedges down to a contract extension, shows just how much less Rovers are offering than their rivals
  10. Depends on what a very average Championship player can expect at any other Championship club If it is more than what he is currently on, then he would be mad not to
  11. Unless he is already on (or very close to) the alleged £10K/week cap - not beyond the realms of possibility, he originally agreed a move to Rovers at the end of his contract with Aberdeen (which normally means slightly higher wages anyway), before Rovers agreed to pay £200K to sign him earlier, & this was whilst Rovers were not under the current self imposed financial restraints, and/or he possibly fancies a pay rise As we have seen with Hyam, Rovers have not been offering pay rises to established first team players, which may be an issue that they are able to side step by offering more than an extra year, but they also seem unwilling to do that
  12. Agree with that Ohashi (based on age & him being a decent, hard working, but not spectacular player at Championship level) & Carter (based on injuries) would be 2 more who they could probably tie down relatively cheaply and easily. I wouldn't be adverse to either of those, as long as any extension for Carter was fairly heavily weighted towards him being fit & playing. With our current budget, both are decent squad players at minimum
  13. You would envisage this is another easy one to get done. Personally I will accept that they have learned their lesson with contracts if they manage to convince a few of Cantwell, Tronstad (who is probably off), Toth & Alebiosu (who has only just signed but will be on a very low wage and needs tying down long term)
  14. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/october/08/report--rovers-under-21s-3-1-leyton-orient-under-21s/
  15. Was Powell actually playing as a 10, and Stritch & Vare as defensive midfielders, as shown in the graphic? If so, it would possibly explain a lack of ability to control the game, Stritch & Vare look better further forwards to me, and Powell is a left back Quite often this season, Dunn seems to have been playing in central midfield by himself, with 2 more attacking midfielders ahead of him, now it looks like he is injured alongside Litherland, as neither have played in a few weeks
  16. They did try for a couple more, unfortunately their unwillingness to pay the going rate in wages led to Brian De Keersmaecker signing for Oxford & Márk Kosznovszky ending up at Portsmouth, although I believe that Kosznovszky was probably an alternative to Henriksson rather than Baradji https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25296373.blackburn-rovers-target-explains-move-championship-rivals/ https://lowertiers.co.uk/blackburn-to-move-for-mark-kosznovszky/ Edit - I suppose that the silver lining here is that De Keersmaecker especially has adapted very quickly to the Championship, winning a few plaudits, so if our scouting team identified them alongside Baradji, then hopefully if/when he is fit, he becomes as important to Rovers as he has been to Oxford. The other option of course is that we just plumped for the cheaper (and less good) option
  17. Doherty, Boggan & Powell with the goals
  18. 1-0 up and Orient just gone down to 10
  19. Do you have any idea what is up with Litherland and/or Dunn? neither have played for the past few weeks
  20. Yep, I think so, it looks like 4-4-2 to me with Powell left wing and Doherty on the right other option could be Doherty or Boggan as a 10, and the other on the right , with Joseph up top in a 4-2-3-1, but 4-4-2 makes the most sense Edit - it seems Boggan wide right, Doherty wide left and Powell as a 10 in a 4-2-3-1, nobody in the midfield (Vare/Strich/Powell) strikes me as being naturally a sitting/holding type, I will be interested to hear what those who were at the game think of the makeup of the side this evening
  21. Unlike Ismael & Forshaw, Davies is in work on his birthday 😉 score/update
  22. What do we think are the chances that despite Atcheson likely being missing either due to a head injury or an international call up (if one doesn't stop him playing tonight, then the other will), Max Davies is also absent?
  23. Looks like Adam Forshaw won't be one of those, was taken off early last week and seems to currently be on holiday in Denmark On the bright side, he is pictured cycling, so assume he is fit
  24. Maybe Pasha has struck on a genius new way to gaslight the fans about "significant investment" & his photos and videos were all created by an AI? 😉
  25. Starts this evening for Olson - lost 3-2 - subbed off after 76 minutes with cramp whilst 2-1 ahead - played well according to Oldham fans Barrett - won 2-1 - played the full game Wood - won 1-0 - taken off after 90 minutes with the score at 1-0 On the bench - Not involved in matchday squad O'Riordan - won 3-0 - possibly still injured O'Grady-Macken - lost 3-2
