  1. Was just about to post similar, firstly congrats to him, well deserved. Secondly, I am sure Pasha & Rudy will be rubbing their hands together thinking about "adding to his value" prior to a sale next summer. 54 man provisional squad, which seems excessive to the point of being ridiculous This next bit I found terrifying
  2. Start this evening for Barrett - lost 3-0 - EFL Trophy game, played the full game On the bench Wolsoncroft - drew 3-3 - lost on penalties - regional cup game - remained on the bench throughout - will be his final game unless loan is extended Not involved in matchday squad O'Riordan - won 5-1 - EFL Trophy game, they have gone with a second string in these games so far this season Game off Farkas - game called off, Prescott forfeit due to having no fit keeper - regional cup game
  3. Stephen Edmondson (released by Rovers in the summer), now at Bootle with Jayden Sergeant. scored a couple at the weekend in a 5-1 win, 26 minutes of coverage is a bit much for me, but in case anyone wants it (Sergeant played the first hour and a bit)
  4. I will add to this, personally I would leave O'Riordan where he is, he looks ok/good in League 1, and can develop more if he carries on playing over the rest of the season far more than just training and sat on our bench. But recalling him will be cheaper and easier than bringing in another centre back (on top of the one I mentioned in my last post)
  5. Both have the ability & potential, both also better on the ball than Pratt, Litherland is a year further along than Atcheson in terms of age & experience though. Edit - I do not think that either will feature regularly for the first team this season (barring an injury crisis in December/early January). I can see O'Riordan being recalled as cover for Miller on the right of the back 3, Pratt being cover for McLoughlin on the left, and an older head being brought in to cover/challenge Wharton in the middle on a short term or loan deal (discounting Carter this season based on his injures)
  6. Pickering was signed a a league 1 player, but was given a new contract 3 years (and 2 Championship top 10 finishes) later under Broughton before the taps were turned off (same time as Adam Wharton & Szmodics contracts were extended). He will be above or around the current wage cap, similar story Pears Ribeiro probably signed with that in mind, as a cheaper alternative Cost was probably also the primary reason for why Pratt was originally in the team ahead of both, albeit he has worked out
  7. 2 really good through balls by Gueye
  8. summer and the he will probably move down south to London to be closer to his home in Iceland 😉 Easier to get flights or something
  9. Indeed it does, They both had loans (& gametime) at tier 6 last season too, but yes, I assumed you meant for Rovers, and your point is completely valid anyway
  10. I think the list of "greedy players" will be further expanded upon over the next 6 months or so
  11. Don't exaggerate 🙂 Atcheson has 17 minutes from 2 cup appearances
  12. But they were all greedy & wanted paying too much, what are the odds eh?
  13. I was too busy excitedly finding my favourite "all things Rovers related" gif/jif thingy to even notice the error
  14. and if they could have had their way, he wouldn't be here anymore either But everything is normal, nothing to see here etc etc
  15. Rovers website Venice is Particularly Nice at this time of year
  16. Starts this weekend for O'Riordan - won 2-1 - played the full game Edmondson - drew 1-1 - played the full game Wood - lost 3-1 - played the full game, scored to make it 1-1 Sergeant - won 5-1 - subbed off on 64 mins with the score at 3-1 On the bench - Not involved in matchday squad Olson & O'Grady-Macken - lost 1-0 - Olson did play for Rovers U21s in midweek Farkas - lost 1-0 Boggan - won 2-1 Duru - lost 3-1 - I think this ends San Diego's season, will be interesting to see hat happens with Duru in January No game this weekend Barrett - team played on Thursday Wolsoncroft - game called off
  17. Its part of Ismael's job description to keep the smokescreen up for as long as possible
  18. I edited my post as you replied, we are pretty much "aligned" in our thoughts 😉
  19. I would agree with that argument if he was the cheap 2nd/3rd choice travelling with the squad. But why extend his contract when we already have at least 5 (Toth, Pears, Michalski, Goddard, Honor) better options, & then loan him out anyway? It would have been cheaper to just release him at the end of his contract last summer. This one I put down to incompetence (or pre planned relegation) rather than penny pinching
  20. I can only imagine it is preparation for him sitting on Rovers bench once we have been relegated & we have either Goddard or Michalski as first choice
  21. On the bench tonight Barrett - won 2-1 - remained on the bench throughout
