  1. No clue with that Maybe Fulham's good U18s from last season are now O18? Youth football can be very cyclical That being said, Fulham are top of the U18 Southern table & a passing glance at their lineups over the past 3 games, I'm seeing a lot of the same names who played today, so it doesn't look a weakened side
  2. Looking pretty much nailed on that Travis (£3M) & Buckley (£1M) will be added to Brittain (£3.5M) & JRC (£1M) in the very near future
  3. 5 first year scholars, 5 2nd year scholars, all U18, and Theo Pitt who is 15 I think 7-0 now, 15 minutes left
  4. U18s 6-0 up vs Fulham at half time
  5. Yes, but there is no real point to it, as they would have been able to be used even if not registered ie IF Rovers only had 7 home grown, so could only name a 24 man squad they could register Tyjon/Montgomery & name a 25 man squad But they haven't actually gained anything in terms of players they can use, as they could have named a 24 man squad and used Tyon/Montgomery anyway due to their age
  6. Read it some years ago, a quick google shows (the below relates to Premier League, but stands to reason it will be the same) AI Overview If a club fails to name enough home-grown players for a Premier League squad, they can still register a squad, but the total size will be reduced because the number of non-home-grown players is capped. For example, with only six home-grown players, a club can only have a 23-player squad. The maximum number of non-home-grown players allowed is 17, meaning any player beyond that in a 25-man squad must be home-grown.
  7. I was looking at the number of home grown players who have to be in a 25 man squad, not how many would have to be named in any given match day squad https://www.fourfourtwo.com/features/what-are-the-efl-squad-rules-for-202425-loanee-limits-home-grown-players-and-how-many-subs-are-allowed 24/25 (which i assume remain unchanged) rules were Championship clubs can have squads of up to 25 players, of which a minimum of 8 need to be home grown For a player to be considered home grown by the EFL, they don't necessarily need to be British (they can be any nationality) or to have been trained by that specific club. All that is required to qualify as home grown is to have been registered with any club affiliated to the FA or the FA of Wales for at least three seasons or 36 months prior to their 21st birthday (or the end of the season they turn 21). We can't see anything to say loanees are excluded from counting as home grown players.
  8. 8 of the squad of 25 need to be home gown, if you only have 7, then can only name a squad of 24, , only 6, squad is 23 etc etc Tyjon & Michalski & Montgomery don't count towards the 25 Tavares might do since he was over here from the age of 1 until his teens so we either have 7 or 8 home grown depending upon if Tavares counts
  9. Just having a think about this. Pululu plays in Poland (finishing 2 places above Legia last season) & was involved in the Conference League up until the quarter finals last season, same as Morishita. Does that mean that Pululu would qualify for a standard GBE too? Pululu must have a similar points total (minus the National team ones). Possibly hangs on his % of minutes played at both domestic & continental level, &the whole idea depends on if the GBE expert knows his stuff, but looks possible
  10. Unless Adam Owen & Rudy Gestede are a pair of magicians 😉
  11. U21s Central league Cup Fixtures https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2025/august/26/rovers-under-21s-learn-central-league-cup-fate/ • Rovers v Blackpool Tuesday September 23rd, kick-off 1pm Blackburn Rovers Academy • Preston North End v Rovers Tuesday October 14th, kick-off 1pm PNE Academy Training Ground • Blackpool v Rovers Tuesday December 2nd, kick-off 1pm Bamber Bridge • Rovers v Preston North End Tuesday January 27th, kick-off 1pm Blackburn Rovers Academy
  12. The loophole I see there is that the rule seems to be aimed at players who already are taking up an ESC slot, before being loaned out. I couldn't see one for players who were never allocated an ESC slot, if you get my meaning
  13. Tyjon has been called up for Poland U18
  14. Technically also Barrett, Pratt & Garrett, but they are all unlikely to be registered. So think 21 is correct
  15. They could technically sign him without an ESC and loan him back to his current club (or another European club) until January when Toth can be converted to a standard GBE freeing up an ESC slot Not that I think that will happen, just that it could be done Edit - this next bit is probably one for Wilsden, although if anyone else has an idea on this then feel free to chime in Would it be possible to sign a player without an ESC and loan them to a Championship club who does have an ESC slot (Sheff Wed for instance who are crying out for players) until january/for the season, until they qualify for a GBE? I cant see a reason why not, but wonder if I am missing something
  16. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/ryoya-morishita/leistungsdatendetails/spieler/679903 Played as... Right Midfield 46 2 2 Left Midfield 37 5 6 Right-Back 30 2 2 Left Winger 20 6 5 Attacking Midfield 18 2 2 Right Winger 6 3 3 Left-Back 5 - - Central Midfield 4 2 1 Centre-Forward 3 - -
  17. Maybe, but if Sunderland or Celtic were genuinely interested in him, he would not now be at Rovers I am sure they took a look, but obviously decided to go with other options
  18. Would Henrikson not be seen as Weimanns replacement? Seems more of an attacking midfielder rather than one of the 2 in a 4-2-3-1
  19. Isn't that a story from June? https://www.footballfancast.com/celtic-have-made-an-approach-for-moussa-baradji-update/
  20. Lennon Miler also a great young central midfielder, seen a bit of him at Motherwell. Got a move to Udinese this summer
  21. Yes, if they don't play him, they might have to start Lyndon Dykes 😉
  22. Was just about to post that 😉 Also, how does Grant Hanley still keep getting called up? He has hardly played for the past couple of years
  23. If we are taking the higher end estimates of what players have been bought & sold for, eg, £3.5M for Brittain, £3M for Travis, £1M for JRC, £1M Buckley, £2M Tavares, £1M Henrikson, £1M Miller, £500K McLaughlin,£500K Alebiosu, £750K De Neve,, then we have probably spent ust over 50% of incoming money from sales
