Have put a raaaather large wager on BTTS on Saturday. Should really know better than to bet on Rovers.
License to shred money.
It's a decent shout that, I'd be disappointed if we did not score and very surprised if Cardiff don't.
both teams only have one game with 0 goals scored so far, so fingers crossed.

Was pants at Rochdale.
-
Tonight my fiver is going on Hull to win, fingers crossed it has the same effect as Middlesbrough lol.
-
Very pleased to get the win, not pleased to have lost my bet yet again.
Poor gambling start for me this season,1 out of 6 ?
-
Pants selection in my opinion, no pace, players out of position, let's see if TM knows better.
My monies on Boro now.
Sorry Woodgates 1st victory!
-
Why not try a 4312?
Graham, brereton and dack up top
Johnson, Travis and downing in midfield with Cunningham, lenihan, tosin and nyambe in defence.
For me we have to play 2 strikers and also dack as I am sick of wide forwards.

If we're ignoring hearsay and conjecture then we can only go by what Mowbray and Waggot have told us - namely that the budget was roughly the same as last summer (circa £10m) and the Raya money was being added to the budget. So with SG's transfer being taken into account that would only be a net spend of £2m against a supposed transfer budget of £10m, leaving £8m. I'm not including wages in that purely because last year's £10m did not include wages either.
We also had Mowbray telling us money was available in January and he chose not to spend it. He and Waggott have also always said that the owners are backing them 100% and releasing funds when asked for. So based off those comments we really have no choice but to lay the blame for our obvious squad imbalance at Mowbray's door, irrespective of the suspicions most of us have about how transfers really operate at Ewood.
The trouble is TMs words seem to change with the wind, difficult to trust them when that's the case.
Most managers will spend every penny they are given and then some.

Mulgrew shouldn't be a CB. He doesn't have the positional sense to play the role as he has always been a midfielder. However he can pass, took all our set pieces and surely was respected by the squad. For me he would have sat in front of the back 2 in a midfield 3 where his talents would outweigh his negatives.
It's a shame he has gone, he has talents we needed.

This is the truth of the situation! We're stuffed for most formations. 4-4-2 seems best bar it doesn't suit Dack our best player. As you say 4-2-3-1 leaves us with an excess of strikers, 3-5-2 struggling for defenders. It really is a sad indictment of TM's tenure that all formations aren't a natural fit.
Aye TM has put loads of thought into our new way of playing.
Whoever starts and whatever way we play, he needs to get 3 points.

This is professional sport. The youngsters need to know the standards required. If they cant handle any cirtiscm, then they are no use to us.
I don't disagree, but kids these days are not very tough mentally.
-
Why would they?
I picked the two kids, I watch them every day in training and thought they were ready but I was wrong. So as opposed to shouldering the blame I dumped it all on them publicly. That's bound to do the trick and get them playing better.
We won in the end anyway so I didn't really need to do it, but what the hell.
Inspirational stuff

You wouldn't even pull that off in FM.
Ashley Williams is one I would be looking at.

Should that be the case then I'm sure Mowbray, being the honest and transparent man that we are told repeatedly he is, will enlighten us on why we've been able to spend £5m on a striker - despite already having quite a few on the books - but were unable to spend anything on the one area of the pitch that desperately needed it and that he assured us would be addressed. "Defensively we're alright" doesn't cut it.
Kinda reminds me of a bloke you meet in the pub.
I'm honest mate, you can trust me etc.
Would you?

Well that was pants.

Apparently not!
Anyway, I’m off for an extended break.
This causes me much more stress than my 9-5 and I don’t get paid for it.
Thanks for the last 9 years everyone.
Please, don't.
It's an obvious personal dig and if anything he should be treated as the guidelines state. Doesn't matter who he digs at and as I said its clear as day.

“Defensively, do we need another one? We’ll look, but only if it’s the right one who will bring some versatility.”
This baffling obsession with “versatility” needs to stop now, it’s got beyond ridiculous.
We need quality.
But it's not versatility, is it? It's a reflection of TM as an individual.
if there is one constant with TM, it is he is inconsistent. Words, tactics, players, etc, one week we play 532, next 4231, as to why, who knows, but I haven't seen many teams that chop and change aspects so frequently, be successful. Most successful teams play their way, their formation and don't chop and change key aspects so often.
This for me plays a role in his 'signings' inconsistent choices require players of multiple roles to accommodate his choices.
This will be his downfall.

I'm clearly still sleeping ?
2 CBs (although one more rumour) linked, one a commanding brute with international & European experience, the other quick and strong in the air?
Sounds like a dream ?

Quite a few on that list would cut the mustard!
Always liked carecec's
I'd have given Cahill, Gallaghers transfer fee n wages, over a couple of years ?

Mulgrew is injury prone though. And Linihen was out for a fair while early last season too. Also Mulgrew looked like he couldn't perform well enough at this level anymore and that's why TM dropped now.
And I'm frustrated because I simply do not understand it. Its not as if we've had no money to spend is it?
You raise an interesting point with the comment in regards injuries. Williams, Lenihan & Charlie have all had spells out injured. We are screwed if that happens.
We'll end up playing a 2-3-5 at this rate, ossie ardilles style ?
People will get frustrated, God knows I am, others will remain calm. I wish differences could be better appreciated.
No-one should take the above personally.

Why would you move downing? He's been good playing forward and is in form, leave him be.
TM should pull a rabbit out of the hat and go 3 at the back, Williams, tosin, and lenihan with bell (pace) at left wing back. Travis n Johnson in midfield, with downing, rack and Graham up top.
