£70k a week, Forster is on apparently.
We are basically relying on Southampton being both a football club and a charity, if that’s coming off....
They can be a charity and throw in Reed to

A loan would be the only option realistically, he isn't going to walk away from that contract. A signing of that standard would really raise expectations.
Would be a great signing

Appreciate the optimism Biz but come on, we were a significant way away from the playoffs last season in the end, largely owing to that horrific run of form after January. We conceded the most away goals in the division (and maybe the entire football league?) so we clearly had a very pronounced problem at the back. Mowbray is out of his mind if he thinks bringing in a new goalkeeper and a young loanee from City is going to suddenly turn that around. Mulgrew is a year older now and Williams is only a competent CB at best. Everybody expected a proper CB to be brought in this summer and if it doesn't happen there should be no excuses being created to try and defend the owners and/or manager, as it was a critical area of the team that once again appears to have been neglected in favour of buying attacking players as usual. It's been nine years and the owners still don't appear to have learned that you build from the back.
Couldn't agree more the midfielders and strikeforce is more than capable for the championship. The defence has been the problem. For a few years if were honest. We got relegated weren't tested in league one and they showed last year they weren't good enough at times. Sort the defence keep Dack and we have an outside chance for top 6

14 days to Charlton game. Let's remain positive if we get keepers the man city young giant and then see if any suprises before the window closes

Come on who is it

It's not how you start but how you finish. Let's hope at the end of window we are stronger

They are keeping the keeper under right under the radar. Might surprise a few. The Man City kid was in for final talks
Hopefully that one will get over the line. Come on who's the keeper

Should’ve been at least a couple in yesterday but same as Gallagher it’s dragged. He was announced last Saturday so I’m hoping it’s just their announcing day. There were players in the building yesterday certainly
Any names

Yup can see that one falling too
Leeds rumoured now and Bielsa and Guardiola are known to each other. We will have to wait and see

There was talk of reinforcements before the rangers game so something likely you would hope

Before she died crossing the road because her change was wrong and they gave her the wrong pies ?
Possibly. The fact is we need reinforcements the season is getting close and the away kits minging. Come on you blues.

Probably thought that the Baeur deal was going to happen after he was tracked for so long. When that's gone wrong they then revert to ex players such as Dann and Hanley.

Did we need the funds from Raya to seal the Gallagher deal? I just dont understand why we are letting a contracted GK go without having somebody else practially signed and ready to go. Now we're talking burgers and steaks like we in a restaurant.
Pound Bakery way we are struggling to get anything else over the line

Especially with our tough start. We could be bottom by the end of the month which will completely tear apart the squads morale.
Exactly. Was thinking the same thing.

All I can say is that if we dont have a GK at least AS good as Raya or ideally better and a commanding CB - this place will erupt and understandably. That is the bare minimum btw, we need a couple of loans as well to shore things up and not a couple of untested kids - we have plenty of those in our own academy.
Couldn't agree with you more. We have known what areas we needed to strengthen months ago. It isnt something that's just happened overnight. If we don't replace Raya and improve the defence a relegation dogfight is likely
-
Why doesn't that surprise me.

Definitely down the pecking order at Southampton. Would love him to come here in any capacity loan or permanent. Would have to take a cut like Gallagher
