Since the Venkys took over the players are worse, the manager is worse, the coaches are worse, the boardroom is worse, the ground is worse, the pitch is worse, the groundstaff are worse. The only thing that maintained its standard was the training ground/academy. Now that’s going the same way as everything else.

Yep and a substantial amount of fans every time praise them and every step

No getting around it now - those plans say we can get away with ~50% of the current pitches, plus combine the juniors with the seniors, in a space which is the same size as the current seniors building.

    A huge downscaling operation.

You guys in the Ribble need a Jackie weaver moment and get into the online parish council meetings for when this is discussed.

These were Leicester City plans at the outset

Why can't Rovers unveil something like this? Proper detail plans

This is the finish training ground at Leicester City

Can’t or won’t. Why submit them now if it’s not what people want it would encourage people to get involved with the rubble parish council and planners to reject it.

Where will Academy under 18's games take place and the facilities needed to maintain category 1 status?

Also I was expecting a proper digital insight in our new training complex like ,not just this but what our indoor centre would look like and how many floors will it be on.

Why do you think there is no digital imprints. It’s because it’s not and ever going to happen

Who’s the developer is it Persimmon? They’d do there own site layouts in house if so, there own houses types are standardised so the only time they’d get externals in is for temp works, structural works, topos etc

Last time I dealt professionally they didn’t have archs based in Milton Keynes. They tendered usually to sutcliffes, TWA etc

Semantics aside, there is no evidence Venkys signed off on that statement. I doubt very much they, are hands on with the 'redevelopment' of Brockhall. Others will be in charge of that. Like the three stooges....

I totally agree with you pal. I thought they were happy to keep financially supporting. I reckon we sent a false budget to Pune in the summer which is now incredibly looking short and venkys have said cut the costs then and this is dodos plan.

Im reading the comments on Nickos tweet now, how can anyone be this stupid after the last ten years?

You have to wonder who hastily wrote or signed off the statement in reaction to the cat being out the bag.

Where is Suhail ? Hasn't he been in India since the virus came along and still there ?

Waggott complete silence. Usually he lives in Mellor but I'm sure he is at home in Kent since the end of last year.

Mowbray was in Nottingham for sure.

Rovers the rudderless ship getting closer to the rocks.

They can write it on a laptop and give each one a teams call to check it over. Not sure location has any bearing

Nixon has blocked me so I can't but wouldn't anyway.

I'm actually glad that Nixon has taken the line that Venkys are pushing this to rake in some cash - they won't like that (if they see it).

We can only hope Waggott goes as soon as possible and that a proper appointment is made next time. I have to say that Waggott's background and experience elsewhere causes concern about him being CEO of Blackburn Rovers.

If he can see this project coming to fruition he might postpone his retirement until contracts have exchanged and the money is banked.

These people are taking us backwards.

Steve Waggott is an ex football agent and a very poorly rated director without any business qualifications for to be director. Infact he’s a failed teacher.

Should be nowhere near the club

I'm looking forward to seeing the planning permission for this 'state of the art' facility they want to build down at the academy site.

Of course this project isn't to make money for people but is to better the club. So I would expect to see no expense spared in designing world class academy and training facilities using the millions generated from the sale of the existing facility.

Leicester have just built a new state of the art facility and it cost them £100 million so for us to demolish and start afresh on the academy site and deliver a 'state of the art' facility it won't be cheap.

The Gross Development Value of the top site is likely to be around £50 million. That is the total value of the houses when built, based on an average property price of £310,000 (Rightmove) and 170 units being built. Take out the developer's slice, construction costs, demolition costs, fingers in pies, planning costs - how much is left over?

I'm also intrigued as to how they plan on fitting this super new facility on a relatively small site with limited access routes and parking and how they plan on building a huge indoor facility that will be many stories high and a blot on the landscape for miles down there.

In short it is hard to believe this is anything but a big con. Get that valuable and easy to develop top site sold asap to developers, grubby hands on the proceeds and then send everyone down to the bottom site and chuck something together on the cheap down there. If 12 months down the line we lose Category A status who cares? The perpetrators will likely be long gone by then and they can just blame ever stringent regulations that favour the PL clubs. Some fans will just lap it up and be grateful.

Job done, money banked and a sizeable portion of the fans accept, even embrace it, who will never see for themselves what has happened. Retirement here we come!

    Spot on. Well said.

Gawthorpe was 5 million and still isn’t anywhere near the STC standard.

They will sell the STC and use the proceeds however, we will not see a new Training. Ground or academy building, it will be a refurb of the existing units at the JTC

Might calm a few clowns on social media down though who've got themselves in a lather about this state of the art new modern complex.......

It's all about money and those in the middle driving it forwards and set to make a few quid.

We’ve got A1 facilities recently refurbed added too, players who say they are first class and premier league, two sites of really high quality facilities, yet some bimbos or excuses for life are asking Alan why he hasn’t included in the article that we’re moving to a state of the art facility.

They need to ask themselves why they think it’s a good idea, we really have a large contingent of dopes in our fan base.

Two big concerns for me are Dack and Travis.

Many were saying 'just wait until we can throw Dack and Trav in the mix'.

IMO, Dack is really struggling.  Will he really be the same force again?  Was it wise to give him a lucrative new two and a half / three and a half year contract before Christmas?

Travis hasn't recaptured his form and to me looks 'leggy' and lethargic.

    Travis looks heavy

Didn't think I could be anymore annoyed after watching that crap. Just read Mowbray's comments after the game about Nyambe. I can't believe we're in this situation with no end in sight. As others have said, managers doing the same at other clubs wouldn't have a job for long.

Mate your to blame for nyambe 😂

    FROM BBS SPORTS

Blackburn Rovers manager Tony Mowbray: "It was more like the way we want to play after a frustrating last few games.

"We looked like the team we've been for most of the season and we feel a bit hard done by not getting anything from the game. It just seems to be the way it's going for us at the moment.

"We needed to raise the levels after the last few games and I felt we did that. It was similar to the QPR game when we were also pretty dominant and yet lost 1-0.

"But I've told the players we will win football matches with those sort of performance levels. We have to play with that urgency and with a front-foot attitude. We had the chance with the penalty kick and I felt we'd have gone on to win it if we'd have scored."

If he’s settling for that then no wonder mr no charisma has lost his influence on the side and as a result failing to inspire
