These days every game we play with our 'possession based football' feels like a whole afternoon or evening - about 3 to 4 hours.

Totally agree it’s crap football. It’s 70 percent in our own half and sideways or along the defence before Lenihan panics and whacks it into row z, it’s not true possession football,  Give me charging around, closing down, aggressive in your face football with some meaty tackling any day with a bit of counter attack, Give me more Andy Todd’s!

56 points in the whole of 2020! No doubt he gets a win today and people will forget just how poor we are. Fed up of Rovers underperforming at the moment, 2 pages on a match day thread so far says everyone else is probably just as disillusioned as me.

    Happy NY folks anyways 😂

A relative of mine who is a keen PNE supporter with some decent club connections reckons Alex Neil will become our next manager and neither of us were p1ssed when he told me!  I was more than a tad surprised but when he agreed to a £100 bet, I began to wonder !

He may come sooner than you think, they’re about to sign Ched Evans.

Maybe Butterworth? Since and including the Bristol game Armstrong has been poor ,at best.

He doesn't hold the ball up. He doesn't beat a man. He is missing chances.

I don’t see anything in Butterworth to suggest he will make it in this league for us. Headless chicken comes to mind.

I notice the social media from the players. They have usually posted their generic messages the same night as the game.

    I wonder what that's about?

I think they’ve all fallen out with each other, looked like 5/6 of them hadn’t played with rest before, no cohesion at all. I’d say there’s a split in the camp. Some of these like Holtby, Ayala, AA, Kaminski, will all be wanting to push for the PL. Then I imagine you have the likes of Bennett and co in the holiday club.

That's even more shameless than blaming Travis's absence and cracking on as though any deficiencies in the team's performance are "nothing to do with me guv".

He's signed a turkey in Ayala and he knows it and is just trying to cover his arse with some ludicrous excuse. Wonder what Pulis would make of those comments. He may have his faults but he's had a bloody sight more success than Moggasaurus in recent years.

The thing is these managers went to clubs around us. Karanka has recently taken Middlesbrough up a few years ago so has some success his way at this level, Pulis has done a cracking job at Stoke, Palace, WBA first year and even took Middlesbrough to the play offs after they stuttered and then the next year almost went down with Woodgate until Warnock another of these types of manager saves them.

They’ve all had success recently where as TM has been sacked at every post he’s been at and his last success was nigh on 13 years ago this season with West Brom.

Rovers fitness latest as four players sustain knocks | Lancashire Telegraph

''At Middlesbrough, with total respect to Tony Pulis and the way he plays, as we saw with Sheffield Wednesday at the weekend, he plays with a very compact unit infront and there’s no spaces to play through, for Aitor as well who we’ll face at the weekend. I’m asking Daniel to play in a team that’s a lot more expansive and I think his body is finding the extra workload hard until he gets acclimatised''

    Tony bigging himself up.

Imagine bitching about two respected managers at this level or in Pulis Case recently PL level and two managers who are that organised and know how to get results through play. Is he that blinkered?

I was so hoping I’d wake up to see my phone alive with texts about Mowbray departing. Didn’t expect it but nevertheless gutted. He’ll no doubt brazen this out get his one win in about 10 and ride back into town like a hero.

Simple no one pay for I follow next match, turn it off.

I’ve always said our digital team have the easiest jobs in the world. Just copy and paste every week.

Questioning players characters - let’s not forget he’s brought the vast majority of them through the door himself.

He says it will be different when travis is back? The kid he tried punting on loan 12 months ago 🤦🏼‍♂️.

Im pretty sure he said the same for the likes of Dack etc

Interesting seeing people talking about getting a new manager in to continue this new brand of football.

I wouldn’t be having that, just get the best man for the job in with the strongest track record and let him do his thing.
It seems unlikely to me that any manager would want to just do what someone else was doing already.....

This in a nutshell. We just need results.
