I'm a bit of a geek with season reviews as i had them all as a kid and watched them all hundreds of times.
There are season reviews out there from 89/90 and 90/91 but must be ridiculously rare.
They then released a season review every season from 91/92 to 97/98.
98/99 has a half season review but no end of season one presumably because of relegation.
There was no review for the 99/00 season ever released.
00/01 had a half season review, then a full season review at the end of the season. (Which is probably the worst one they ever released to be honest).
01/02 & 02/03 were both on VHS with a special double VHS in 01/02 showing highlights of the Worthington Cup run plus the full 90 minutes of the final, which was released separately to the end of season VHS. (This was later re-released on DVD with the 94/95 champions DVD)
03/04 had no review, with 04/05 just being a short DVD of all our goals that season which came with the ST renewal pack.
05/06 through to 10/11 all had a season review released on DVD, with nothing else until the 17/18 League one DVD, and nothing since.
Wow, that totally changes things then. I have 10/11 and 17/18, I just assumed they must have been released every year between then. Same goes for a lot of those other ones you mentioned. I guess I have a near complete collection then, whereas I previously thought I was only about halfway.
I just remembered to look at a post from last year. Someone on here a while back had a whole bunch of them for sale, had two different 90/91s in there. He posted them for sale, but then didn't want to ship them to me in the US even though I was fine with paying the ridiculous shipping, and donated them all to a charity shop instead, so they're gone forever. Of the 20 tapes he had, I've been able to find about 14 of them, so at least some will be preserved online, and I'll be keeping my eye out for any others that pop up on eBay. I've actually got 8 tapes coming to me as we speak.

I'm slowly trying to collect as many season review VHS and DVD as I can. The oldest I've been able to find is for the 1991/92 season. Does anyone know if they were made prior to this? The only older tape I have is the Worthington Cup final, but I'm curious if there were season review compilations before 1991/92.
And on the other end of the spectrum, my most recent is 2017/18, were they made any time after this?
And finally, what year did they switch to DVD? 2002/03 is on VHS and 2005/06 is on DVD, so I'm wondering if anyone knows which of the two years between that was the first DVD.
If anyone is interested in watching any old stuff, I've uploaded full videos to Archive.org under my username SanDimas1988, or ones with copyright strikes edited out on YouTube under Rick Lewis.

And I'm halfway through Michael Hodkinson's "History of Blackburn/Burnley Rivalry" which is brilliant.
I’m glad to read this. I got it about a month ago but haven’t gotten to reading it yet. Glad to hear it’s gonna be good.

My collection of VHS/DVDs are all uploaded to Archive.org. Most of them I put on YouTube as well, however a few had way too many copyright strikes to edit, and most are missing a couple minutes due to copyrights. But the Archive ones are complete (other than the 1 where my tape is messed up).
I have the Wembely Way cassette on both my Archive and YouTube.
If anyone wants to sell me tapes I don't own, I'm always looking to expand my collection, and back them all up online....

If you paid, go to the Match Centre for today’s match. It may ask you to log in again. Then on the match centre will be a link that says Watch Live.
sometimes I have issues and need to log in a few times if that watch live doesn’t show up.

In the US, all the Sky games so far, including the upcoming Hull game, have been on ESPN+. I already subscribe to Disney and Hulu, and bundling in ESPN for $20 a month I’m essentially getting ESPN free.
-
In the US, the FA Cup matches are being shown on ESPN+, including the Blackburn match. Usually the ones on ESPN+ but not RoversTV are the ones owned by Sky in the UK. So someone else has the rights besides RoversTV if you’re in the UK.

Do you still have those videos for sale ?
I'd be interested if you do.
He sold a few local to him and donated the rest to a charity shop.

I’ve just been hitting Refresh in the Match Centre every week. Seems like eventually the live link just shows up. I’ve been trying for 15 minutes and it’s finally there after I posted here.

Does anybody else have trouble finding the “watch live” link every single match?

I thought it was just me with a tear in my eye 🙂 - it was a dream that many Rovers fans thought they would never see.
I can remember going into every match expecting us to win - what a team, what a management team and the best owner ever.
I’m only a somewhat new fan, that was long before my time, but I recently got a few VHS from that season. I find myself inadvertently cheering along with goals that happened over 25 years ago.

Then that is certainly gotta be one contributing factor to lower attendance, if you don’t have to actually leave the house to see the match.

You won’t get chastised, you are a perfect example of how you’ve got to work to build up a crowd, but it’s so easy to lose them, and bloody hard to get them back.
As a foreigner, I can watch pretty near every game on RoversTV. Is this the same for UK viewers? What games are blacked out for local fans? Only ones on Sky?

Almost 2k fans made the trip to Barnsley today. Maybe people aren’t happy, but there will always be a loyal contingent.

While everyone keeps talking about lower season ticket sales, I assume that does not that factor in iFollow or RoversTV. I’d never be an ST holder, but they got my $242 USD this season.

BBC iplayer if you can get it, story of the Premier League
Thanks a lot. I’ll try to find that then.

Is this a TV show? Documentary? Excuse my ignorance, I’m an American, and assuming you’re not talking about the Nick Hornby book.
-
What would you change to fix this downward trend?
-
Same here. In the US the game is being carried on ESPN+, so where you are is it on TV?
-
This is one of my favorite things about watching old games. Players are in their 20s and look 50. I’d love it if others joined the game.

Only once ever came across another American supporter. Not too many of us. I want to a Chelsea v Inter friendly in Baltimore about 10 years ago and out of 70,000 fans, saw one other Blackburn jersey. Hope you’re enjoying it.

Originally I was a fan from like 2009-14 or so. I picked the club because they have a great history, the city’s history is working class industrial, and about the same size as my home city (Buffalo).
But when the Rovers dropped to lower divisions, it was pretty impossible to follow from the United States at that time, so I just left the sport for a bit. I came back last season and I’m here for good.
Just got a Rovers tattoo this week, and my goal is to visit Ewood for the final home made of the season. I’ve only once in my life seen someone in a Blackburn kit, and would love to not be the only one. Oh, and I now collect Rovers VHS, but I’ve bought all the ones on eBay.

The audio was a bit off for most of the one match, but other than that, as someone that’s watched them live, the quality was great and I’ve had no issues. Of course the fact that there’s no highlights or replays sucks, but the quality of live has worked great for me.

What a bloody faff to find it after payment!
I paid twice for one of the friendlies because I couldn’t figure it out.
Huge thank you…

I just wanted to send a huge shoutout to DeeCee. I have a rather nice collection of Blackburn stuff, but was missing the 100 Greatest Goals DVD (lost it during a move years ago). They offered it up for free, including shipping to the US, and all they asked was I donate to a charity instead. Classy stuff, and it has a good forever home.
(If anyone cares, the white things with no spines are 4,000 Holes issues I’ve found. The other one is Turnstiles, a fantastic fanzine. And All the Rage is about my hometown club in NY)
