Oh don't get me wrong it is probably one of the best in the league I don't dispute that. What I dispute is the players being good enoigh to be sold to the likes of spurs or other prem clubs for 10 mil plus like a few clubs have had.

Don't get me wrong we have some talented players in our first team who have come through the academy and it is wonderful so many have gone on to play for us. My post is about using the academy as oart of the project to become a sustainable club through prgessuon and sales. Unless we have some worldies coming through in the next couple of years it won't transpire how they think it will.

Also people go on about our incredible academy. Yes at this level it is very good and cat a. But how many of the players that come through are better than mid table championship? You look at other clubs with 'poorer' academies and they are selling there young players for 10 million plus. For all good our academy is we have not been able to do that. The players that come through majority are mid table championship quality at best. Lenihan and nyambe have proven that in recent times. Phillips maybe an exception if he does sign other than that I don't see anyone else being sold for big money or playing at club much higher than ourselves

They have a similar record in terms of trophies, granted ours was more recent eith the prem win and league Cup. They are a big club and possibly viewed as a bugger club than us. They do have a better support which may go for them. Other than that we are pretty much on same level.

Based on this I think going into future windows my expectation is going to be less. I think this is how we will constantly operate in windows. 1 or 2 to appease fans midway through and then the bulk of it at the end.

In regards to Wharton and garnett we cannot rely on them. As with vale the step up from academy to men's football in the championship is vast. We need another body in midfield and to laon one of them out for experience. It worked well for Carter in the past and also lenhihan after a season on loan. We can't rely on untested academy players.

If that's the case then based on current recruitment's looks like our level is bottom championship teams and league 1 players in terms of recruitment. Tbh it's probably all we can do with our wage structure. Heard good things though about hi.

Correct I knew the long delay for a manger would have a knock on effect and that proving to be the case. Even JDT admitted we are a few weeks behind everyone else, and that was couple week ago.

We need another cb than van den berg. We need two and 1 needs to be a permanent otherwise its the same situation again next season

For me I'd much prefer a permanent cb than a loan for van hecke on top of van den berg. That being said who would we realistically get who is decent as a permanent cb.

Plus 2 cb with one of them being a permanent or have experience

I personally can't see us challenging for promotion this season, it will come too soon. I think certainly next season with the right recruitment then absolutely. I dont think there is any correct answer because it is all iffs and buts

But what's the alternative. Have another season like last and then he walks for nothing. We will them be 20 goal a season down with no money to buy a replacement.

If we don't recruit by the end of the window only get in the lad from Liverpool then imo it's been a terrible window. The amount of key players we have lost and mot replaced. It will be a huge struggle this season as we have already seen so early on with injuries. Of course I will judge come the end of this window but based on ffp and everything else I fear this window will repeat itself in the next windows to come.

Well why won't you say what you know then. All you have said is we could be upset. That could mean alot of things like they are charging 40 quid for an away game. Why don't you provide the full information instead of letting people guess for themselves.
