  1. Looks like Yousef Salech on the move from Cardiff as well, fits the mould but would imagine they want a sizeable fee for him.
  2. Harvey Knibbs, apparently an unknown championship club has just had a bid accepted, could be us?
  3. Bailey from the North East, usually pretty bob on with Boro news. Presume the Brittain news and the bid for the Hibs player is 24 hours behind and the first bit of news led to the latter
  4. With all the overseas targets McLoughlin seems like a sensible recruit. Experienced at this level and regularly carries the armband for Hull. Agree with others that it’s strange they are happy to let him leave in their current predicament. Unless they are cash strapped and need money to pay transfer instalments/ salaries
  5. Rosler will be a lot cheaper than others linked. Also former England youth international so will qualify for a work permit. Don’t know if he will be good enough
  6. If we don’t sell, you’re the same person who will be complaining about us letting him go on a free next season.
  7. On Brittain. Sign a deal or sell at this point. impressive end to last season, seems to suit Ismael as a manager, perhaps we should’ve tied him down last summer. But I for one was quite critical of him at that point, seemed to be a passenger when us as team where under the pump. Sad to lose him, particularly to a rival, but as many others have stated, we have lost a lot worse and recovered.
  8. Paper talk of Brittain medical at Boro New centre half link after they have given up on Kapaudi Would be my bets
  9. I’m certainly not envious of Millwall giving some sort of trial to a bloke who turns 33 in September because he has a promotion under his belt 2 years ago. Doesn’t fit the bill for Ismael and throwing money down the drain
  10. The running theme in these signings is physicality and power. I’m all for it. Sick of those Tuesday night away games where teams run all over us and we roll over. Not had a big team since the Allardyce days.
  11. That will be because he doesn’t know his name
  12. Who said I don’t rate? Decent player, breaks up play and uses the ball okay. Replaceable is my point
  13. You seem to have mis read. I think everyone is aware that they are currently the best we have in that position. My point is I don’t think either are irreplaceable and Tronstad now being a top earner is fair enough, but when he’s 32, legs going and not in the side earning 20k a week there will be many on here saying we need to offload him and he isn’t worth the Theres plenty of clubs throwing money about and I’m sure they’ll both get it. I seem to recall your envy at Hull splashing the cash last summer. Finished well below us and now under an embargo. Ive watched rovers and championship football long enough to know they are both replaceable and it doesn’t almost guarantee relegation by not renewing their contracts.
  14. Am I the only one who thinks Tronstad and Travis are solid but limited championship players who at soon to be aged 30 and 28 respectively aren’t worth offering circa 20k a week for 3 years that they will most certainly get else where?
  15. I don’t there’s much room for criticism in the recruitment department. They are coming up with championship level players on a shoe string, not their fault there’s a lack of investment
