  1. Because,I cannot believe Jack would have allowed Celtic to shaft us in the manner they have, with their ticket allocation.2,800,with 900 of those"very restricted viewing".Can I ask you a few questions Mr Williams. On your way back from Glasgow earlier this week, did you have happy ,contented smile on your face, happy that you had achieved what is best for the Rovers fans? Can you name any other club in the country, other than Woking who would have accepted a shafting like this? Are you aware, that this is the biggest game we have played in for years? And finally, when was the last time you took a long holiday Mr Williams?Celtic have shafted you,and you have shafted us.A D I O S .

Given they way we have just rolled over, did Brfc actually need to send representatives on a juncket to glasgow.

A telephone call would have done

Jw : What about ticket allocation for our supporters.

Celtic : You can only have 3000 of the worst seats in the house, UEFA regulations I'm affraid.  Oh and by the way if you don't give us 20,000 tickets for the second leg our supporters will take over the ground and terrorise your fans !

JW  : OK then.  Anything else, just give us a call.

I'm affraid we go no further in this competition !!

  2. How many times have we sold our ground out?

The match is live on tv & rovers fans have shown time and time again that they do not travel in numbers.

Its nowhere near the same as the worthy final. we hadn't been in a meaningful final for over 60 years, so we were always going to sell out for that.

Just remember - how many people use this forum ? I wouldn't say it was a good percentage considering the number of people that travel to away games. The people on this board are obviously some of the most passionate of our supporters,  but the numbers simply don't stack up.

The only thing I would have changed though, is I would have liked to have seen rovers give celtic just the top half of the darwin end and then given our fans a time limit to buy tickets. If we didn't look like selling out, then we could have given them half the bottom end too.

That aside - I'll be there & I'll meet any of you on the board for beers before hand! I'll be getting in around lunchtime....

Disagree with the first part of your argument.

If you think small you act small.

agree with the latter. Rovers should have made more effort to accomodate rovers supporters at ewood.

I'll be in Glasgow, ticket or not, so first beer is on you AndyC :rover:

    your on fella..

...now where are we meeting up !?!

I've suggested the horseshoe bar(in the celtic travel thread).

Its in the city centre near glasgow central station.

From there people can make their way up Argyle st some good barsin Candleriggs > Trongate > Gallowgate. This takes you towards the celtic park.

For those without tickets there will be plenty of bars showing the game.  And don't forget the Rangers half of the city will welcome us with open arms.  It'll be crackin' with or without a ticket.

    #### the rovers board !!

  4. WRONG !!

Rovers have proved themselves to be a small town club here.

They have rolled over and let celtic tickle their tummy.

ROVERS WOULD TAKE 5K TO THIS MATCH !! Its a big big game.

Rovers are stating the usual away support only warrents 3000.

WHAT IF THEY HAD USED THIS LOGIC FOR THE WORTHY CUP FINAL, another big big game & 30,000 troops.

Rovers have quoted the 5% UEFA rules on away allocation and that celtic are within their right.

YET WE HAVE GIVEN THEM 25% OF OUR GATE WITHOUT A WHIMPER.

A lot of rovers fans are going to miss this game because our board have no bottle.  Why don't they just offer the jocks a 2 goal lead as well while we'er being so generous !!!!!
