Has anyone come across this online?.
It seems to be a poor Burnley version of the satirical online newspaper 'The Rochdale Herald'.
What is most amusing are the Facebook comments at the bottom of each article and how unbelievably thick the residents of Burnley are.
For example an article stating that potholes won't be repaired in Burnley due to them being of historical importance. The article is written by a Mike Hunt should be a dead giveaway but lack of intelligence prevails when it comes to our six fingered cousins.
Some comments:
''Can I just add to my comment I was born in Burnley in 1944 not all but most roads were cobbles so who gave permission for them to be covered with tarmac if we were covering "Historic Interest" it's a stupid excuse''
''I ride a motorcycle to commute I don’t get a popped tyre or a dinted wheel I get dead when I get thrown off and get hit with a oncoming vehicle''
Another article stating that there is to be an international airport built in Burnley. Some actually clocked on to this, I doubt they were locals though.
''There's more chance of it never getting cold and snowing in Burnley ever again, what a load of BULLSHIT''
''Be superb for the town if it materialises''
Naivety or stupidity?, I definitely think the latter with regards to those lot.

I don't mind the shirt but the sponsor is the worst I've seen on a Rovers shirt for a good while.
-
-
I'd like to see a better attempt at the red and black halves away shirt we had in the 2000's.
It could have been a really nice looking shirt bar the diamond patterns and the ugly bet 24 logo plastered on the front.

Wouldn't dream of missing this whether we are going to get spanked or not.
How long before the fixtures do they decide on the dates?

Just now, Pedro said:
I can read fine thanks, patronising Annie. It seems to me you'll blindly defend any nonsense statement you pipe up with though Stuart - what's so bad about possibly being wrong about something?
From my possible jaded memory, Kean and Coyle have never and weren't ever welcomed with open arms and certainly weren't ever backed by the fans. Not once can I remember (I can't speak for Coyle) "Steve Kean's Blue and White Army" etc. Bring sung. My recollection is both appointments led to uproar amongst large factions of our fan base. For me personally, and many others, I refused to go to Ewood under puppet number 2.
But if I am wrong, hey ho.
As much as it sickens me to the stomach, those words about Kean were sung. I think it was when we fluked it against Liverpool shortly after his appointment.

I can see Adam Yates moving over to Sky and becoming their tour GC guy once Froome has had his day, he's shown this year that he can win it in the future and is set to be GC rider at every tour he rides at.
As for Froome another fantastic tour, he just keeps improving every year. He should be Sports Personality of the year after that run up Ventoux but I bet some dour Scottish bloke will probably win.

Last Tuesday, lovely day, so i decided to get the train to Lancaster and cycle back to take advantage of a northerly breeze. Went out to Caton and then over Jubilee Tower and the Trough, then decided to go to Chipping via the Inn at Whitewell for a change (I usually go past the Wild Boar Park). I didn't realise that the road south of the Inn has been closed for some time because of a landslide so i followed the diversion up and over Hall Hill.
Just coming over the top I swerved to avoid a big pot hole, went off the tarmaced surface and ended up in a heap in the middle of the road with blood everywhere. With the help of two very kind people I was airlifted to Royal Preston. The injuries looked a lot worse than they were because of the blood - I had a deep gash in my knee and a deep cut on my lip and some minor road rash. Two days in hospital and a session in theatre being patched up and I am now at home recuperating. On reflection it looks like my knee was probably cut on the bike, probably by the chain ring as it was a very clean cut, unlike if I had hit the tarmac.
We went up to the Inn on Friday to collect my bike, which they had kindly stored there. The road being used as the diversion is in a terrible state so I would advise anyone else not to cycle up there unless they really have to (and I can't see why you would).
I went up there yesterday, again following the the diversion, you can usually get past those with your bike but the whole road is fenced off. That road is extremely dangerous and even worse if you are coming down from Cow Ark direction.

Where have you seen it at that price? I'd bite at that in the hope it's better than Sim City.
And nearly 18 months since my last comment in this thread and I am STILL waiting for GTA V to come out on PC
cdkeys.com. They aren't as dodgy as they sound, I've bought plenty from there in the past. GTA V is out this month I believe.

Cities: Skylines seems to be getting rave reviews at the minute and I've seen it selling for £15.

Got back into Diablo 3 in a big way since the reaper of souls expansion on PC.
Downloading the starter edition overnight. Finally feel its time to try this game as it has apparently improved a lot recently.

Did you get past the Al Gore fight? I almost gave up on the game at that point - I got beaten so many times, it was no fun at all. Listening to him do his stupid speech over and over, then trying a new weapon or buddy character, only to die and have to repeat it... On about the 10th attempt I turned down the difficulty and finally squeaked past it.
That got me a few times untiI figured out that I wasn't using fart magic, After that it was quite easy.
I really like the game and the gameplay doesn't bother me but then again I've always been a sucker for repetitive RPG's.

After playing Elder Scrolls Online beta it's pretty safe to say I won't be subscribing to £9 a month for the full game. It feels like I'm playing Elder Scrolls Lite, everything is dumbed down and not as interactive as the other games add to that the countless number of other players jumping around with silly names and it takes away everything that was great about Skyrim and Oblivion.
Has anyone here bought a Wii U? I got one the other day with the new Mario and was pleasantly surprised. The game pad with a touch screen is a great idea, I thought it would be gimmicky and limited but it adds a lot to games like Zombie U where you have to constantly use it. Mario is awesome as always (if a little short) - I don't think any game has the capacity to make me grin as much as the Mario series have. Anyone else have one?
If you didn't have to take the console with you for the off play function I'd have bought one already.

And yet FFP will welcome Venkys and Tan on board and put the shutters up to the Jack Walkers. That's if there ever are any more. It's entirely possible that we simply had the golden ticket for a while there. The Whelans and Davies are the same mould but came in after the horse had bolted. Jack's fortune was enough but only for a time.
Wonder how BangkokRover's Qataris are doing with falling in love with Rovers? Has that NDA not expired yet and you can spill the...
(That's a photo of my beans that I've just taken now, btw, not from bing images, honest!. )
Haha, the old 'airport lounge shot', must go down in BRFCS folklore, brilliant!

This video is amazing, couldn't hope to do any of this stuff, especially on a road bike!

Wasn't a fan of the first Assassin's Creed, I loved it right up until the second city then found out that I was doing everything I'd just done in the first city. It became boring very quickly and I stopped playing.
I haven't played any since the first but people are raving about the latest one saying it's very different to the others.

Outlast is a fiver in the Steam sale until
Dec 3tomorrow.Missed that but it's on my 'to play' list now.
As well as having to conserve the gas for your lamp. I only played it around three or four times but I genuinely started "thinking too much" so I started playing Rollercoaster Tycoon 3 instead.
I've been playing it when the wife is at work and the kids are in bed, lights off and headphones on for full effect!
Pre-ordered the Collector's Edition of Dark Souls II for £75.
Still haven't played the first one or Demon Souls for that matter, another game I need to play.
Ghosts is the first one since World At War that I haven't had the urge to try. I played every other one, but I thought Black Ops 2 was so ridiculous it completely put me off the whole series. The bit where you play as the terrorist and run around in turbo 'blood rage' mode, hacking people's heads off, was hilarious.
Haven't enjoyed a Call of Duty game since MW2, I tried Black Ops and it's one of those where you die if you stick your head out of cover at the wrong time, cannot be doing with games like that, plot was crap as well.

Playing Amnesia as suggested by those on here and it's lived up to what you were all saying about it, scariest game I've ever played. Just got past the bit where you find the key for the machine room and the zombie comes in leaving you cornered with only the wardrobe to hide in. The lack of weapons definitely makes it more tense.
-
Unfortunately there are some multiplayer weapons you can only unlock by finishing the campaign.
That is unfortunate, does the difficulty matter for acquiring the weapons because I'll probably just put it on easiest setting and skim through it in a couple of days if so.
I can't play Amnesia unless someone else is in the room.
Haha, I know what you mean but it takes the thrill away when you aren't on your own. I always get people sneaking up and making me jump when I'm playing games like that, it's a dead giveaway because the house is in darkness apart from my pc monitor.

Battlefield has always been about the multiplayer. I haven't played the BF4 campaign but the one on BF3 was awful. I did quite enjoy the campaign on Bad Company 2 though.

I've heard about Slender, will give it a look. Seems to be a good catalogue of horror games on the PC which is nice, shame the same can't be said about driving games.
I'll probably chance BF4 at some point soon, the multiplayer is just too good.

Try Outlast, if you enjoy crapping yourself. You're pursued by psychos in a pitch dark asylum, looking through the night vision screen of a camcorder, waiting for things to jump out of the blackness.
I've had no major problems with Battlefield 4. It crashed once after a cutscene in the campaign mode but other than that it runs as smooth as butter.
Sounds good, always loved horror games ever since the first Resident Evil, I nearly hit the ceiling the first time that zombie jumped out of the wardrobe. In hindsight it wasn't that scary a game, they are much better these days.
Are you on the PC version of BF4?, I've read it's the multiplayer on there that people were having problems with.
None of them compare to Hannah Montana: The Movie Game.
That's a different kind of scary.

Just finished Metro: Last Light, brilliant Russian post-apocalyptic first person shooter set in Moscow's Metro system after the bombs have dropped. Really dark and gritty game with a good storyline. Best played in a dark room with headphones on, I crapped myself a few times playing this. Will be playing the prequel Metro: 2033 very soon.
Battlefield 4 was going to be my next purchase but I've heard it's buggy to the point of being unplayable so may wait on that one.
