I like the FGTH "Two tribes" suggestion.
anyone find anything wrong with it?
Yes I can find 2 things wrong with it.
1.The whole band are scousers.
2.Its a horrible record.

Mr Brightside by,The Killers.
The final coundown, would be a obvious and depressing choice.
Streets of Your Town - The Go Betweens
Probably Australias best rock band ever, are they still recording?
-
Yes folks that was the worst one ever.
Not a single memorable England moment from the tournament.
Oh well we have Steve Maclaren to look forward to.
-
My first game was the 1885 cup final at the Kennington Oval,Rovers v Queens Park.
Can clearly remember Jimmy Brown scoring Rovers second and winning goal, what a glorious day.

They're not"missing out on some very good football"
They will all be watching the match, either in the pub or at home.

So here in the states there's a sad dearth of Rovers merch. The club store is perenially out of shirts online, and, to be frank, I haven't really liked the shirt designs since we used Kappa.
So I thought about creating my own piece of Rovers kit for personal use. I guess my questions are:
1) Does anyone think this even sounds good looking?
2) Is the thought of doing this horribly horribly disrespectful to the Club?
What I guess I'm envisioning, being a yank of dubious taste and morals, is a modification of the basic club patch to remove "Arte et Labore", move the Blackburn Rovers FC to the space previously occupied by said motto, and replacing the Rovers club name round the patch with "They Win Or Die Who Wear The Red Rose Of Lancaster" (the motto of the 55th [West Lancashire] Division from WWI).
Then putting that bodge job on a BDU jacket in what is affectionately known as the "electric blue" pattern.
Does this sound intriguing to anyone at all? I'm not looking to sell them, or even make more than one, but I figured I would temper my natural Texan enthusiasm for the bizarre with good British sense before investing the money and (potentially) looking like a moron.
How about,"DON'T MESS WITH BLACKBURN"

I was at the game today and yes the Kop did sing about Risse breaking Smith's leg. It soon stopped once they realised it really was a serious injury.
I am sickened to hear some of the comments on here.
I hope those of you that provided those sick comments all have something equally horrific happen to you, then lets see whose laughing.
"Soon stop"it did not,the whole of the Kop and probably another half of the ground started singing,"Heeeeyyyyy Alan Smiiiiith I wanna know if your f###### dead.
They sang it for a good 30 seconds.
Lovely folk those scousers.

Sven will be courting potential employees now as we speak.
One of those could be Sweden, our world cup opponents.Interesting!
The FA have screwed up once more.
Thankfully when he eventually does go Ray Clemence will be in the same taxi.

The fact that both games will be telivised must be having a massive impact on the attendances.
I was ready to travel from London to Ewood until I was told it was to be telivised.

The Manchester City FA Cup match in 1969 ?
Frightening to see the crowd swaying back and forth on the Riverside and at the Blackburn End. The barriers must have been under tremendous strain (not to mention spectators' bodies).
For 56,000 to be in Ewood they must have been sitting on the roof of the stands.
I hate to be a killjoy but I think your mistaken with the 56,000 for the City game.If its the one that was postponed around 6 times then was'nt the attendance 38,000 ? they beat us 4-1, Jim Fryatt scoring for the Rovers.

Great time last night; still hoarse after all that singing, pity so many Rovers fans were chucked out and missed most of the game.
Travelled down on flight sat next to David Moyes who was checking Rovers out prior to Saturday...said he was very impressed with Rovers recently (obviously didn't see the Citeh away game). He refused to join up for BRISA!!
As far as the Rovers fans being chucked out,its easy for the stewards to pick on 50 Rovers fans refusing to sit down.Imagine them adopting the same heavy handed attitude towards 5,000 standing Mancs or Scousers, they just would'nt go near.
-
Great win, listened to the match report on talk sport, the reporter said we "had'nt beaten United in 22 atempts".
Thats incorrect is'nt it ?We beat them a couple of years ago just before Xmas.

I'm driving to Cardif from London,N1.
Never been to Cardif, and taking into account I'm on exactly the same route
as the gooners, has anyone got an idea how long the journey will take?

But fair do's, the Blues around me who were wearing their colours all seemed to get a good tonking for their trouble.
Fair do's EiT, you disappoint me abit. We were at theirs. Fairs do's would be how many clarrots jumped up and down in the old Riverside or Blackburn End when they scored at ours. Dare I venture a guess nary a one.
.....well what do you know....seems that chap from Pheonix is still doin his best to fan the flames from afar.
USABlue....are you not going to book yourself a transatlantic for this one..?
I have spent the last couple of days enjoying the banter on this thread. In particular the claims that you lot squeezed 8000 in the Longside away end....
But...its good to see you sold out this time......and I sincerely hope that our two clubs can show the nation what a real derby is like....
Nah Longsider, not trying to fan flames really just reminiscing. How've you been? Have not heard from you in a coons age. Will you be wearing the whites . Hope life is treating you good, join in have fun but don't be naughty.
Someone else was asking after you too, I won't be over. I will however, like many others, be plonked in front of the telly for it.
Whatever happened to RanOFF Westwood and Sabden.
Their ugly heads completley vanished after the 2-0 win at Terrff.
Come on boys, may the jousting commence. We know your there.

I just called a couple of bars down here in London who always televise the most obscure games but none as obscure as Salzburg V Blackburn.
Can any London Rovers fans help.Come on quickly.
