  1. My faith is with the rovers management team they know what kind of player he is now. If he was 1/2 the Jansen of old he would still be playing and keeping the lumbering Kugi out of the side !!!

My gut feel is while he may shine in the odd infrequent game it is not enough to warrant a squad inclusion week in week out. What did he exactly do in his loan spells nothing I recall.

Unfortunately the accident finished a young mans promising career. Damn you tord grip / keown.

I hope I am not eating my words come 7pm tomorrow night !!

Nobody can surely knock the guy for giving it a try at Bolton he was never going to be selected by Hughes. If he trots out tomorrow I hope he receives the correct welcome by us rovers fans. I will be clapping him all be it in front of my tv screen 4,000 miles away

  2. Depends very much upon if Hughes are at Rovers at that time, and the final position in the PL.

The downside of having good players and managers if you are not amomg the "special ones" is that they will be poached.

Give over man where is Hughes going to go Newcastle not a chance. Still think O'Neill will come back into the equation for Man Utd. What other job could be available better than ours.

Hughes will be there wait and see re: pedersen he came saying it was a stepping stone to better things. Still I would like another couple of seasons out of him.

  4. I'm not doing a daily update of ticket sales, its a waste of my time and a waste of the ticket office staff who I keep having to bug.

Yesterday, as I posted here and on the official messageboard 1600+ had been sold, it'll increase further when it goes on open sale, but I personally can't see us selling 5000.

I think around the 3500 would be more likely. Hopefully I'm proved wrong.

Good news back at the end of next week for xmas. Going sunderland match and was beginning to think I wouldn't get a ticket for wigan.

  5. Great news.Well done the F.A. I think Khissi will play right back now on saturday.

Not great news as that decision cost us at least a point and ruined a game of football. What will happen to the ref ? With the ever increasing cost to watch football it is becoming increasingly necessary to introduce video referees. A sending off so early destroyed the game as a spectacle for what !! I had watched the replay about 3 times before he had made the decision so why couldn't halsey be wired to the video ref. Don't give me all that swings and roundabouts rubbish cos if savage had tackled like essien on Sat he would have been hung out to dry looking at a 6 game ban but instead he plays for Chelsea enough said. What happened to goaline technology on trial Newcastle would have had a goal on Sat. Rooney gets sent off for clapping !! The game is in a mess for these reasons Fifa and their rule changes have destroyed the game and it is time for some positive action.

  6. rover.gif do you need someone to carry your bags biggrin.gif  tinykit.gif

taking about carrying bags I saw an interview with rooney after the eng match on wed SSN. Times surely are not hard for him but he seemed to be carrying his belongings in a black bin bag !!! Made me chuckle I used to have my kit in Asda carrier bags but not a top pro player. Did anybody else see this ?? Or had I had one too many sherberts ?

  7. Never mind a Home Nations Group, getting Germany, Ukraine and Israel would be, as they say, challenging.

Bascially it should boil down to 2 from 4. Agreed unless we fluke the easiest group as with world cup qual there will be some tough games ahead. But still nothing should faze the then World Champs and the knighted Sir Sven and Real Madrids new 25m striker Crouch after he's stunning performances in Germany .......... and then I woke up damn

  8. Leave the lad alone. I for one thought he had a decent game controlled and held up the ball well up front. Linked up play nicely. Crouch won the header for the pen and other than going over twice in the box and missing a one on one what else did Owen contribute ? Crouch and Rooney should be given a chance + Defoe / Bent Owen is the one who's place should be in doubt he seems a little out of touch but instead he is captain which I don't understand.

  9. I saw last night that if we beat Austria and Holland beat Czech rep then we qualify anyway in the runner up spot. I thought with eight groups there was no best runner up thus there must be 2 best runner up slots so the chances are that a victory on Sat will see us thru. So for all you Sven knockers he will still be in charge. Lets face it a change of manager will not win or lose us the world cup we will go out in the qf or sf no matter who we have in charge.
