  1. I heard the reason why Tugay wants to leave is that Rovers are only prepared to offer a one-year deal but Tugay wants a two-year deal... or something..

I feel he should stay. I would much prefer him to stay than say....Flitcroft.

Sure Flitcroft wears his heart on his sleeve and gets stuck-in but is restricted in his attacking play and passing ability than Tugay (yeah sure he passes to his invisible friend a lot) but he would still be useful as a back-up midfielder, to come on and supply that through-ball that is needed.

As for Douglas, he is very restricted in ability. He just gets some praise for his commitment and hard-work but if Souness fails on getting Pedersen and believes Douglas can still do the left-mid job for us.. I will commit suicide in my back garden.

  2. Good to see us finally making a proper move for him and getting in there before anyone else. £1.5m is not a bad bit of business (already stated) for a promising young left-sided midfielder.

    Lets hope this progresses well.

I know people will compared this to Emerton (by saying we are beating bigger clubs for a sought-after talent) but we can't use that logic for EVERY promising signing.

    He's young.

    He's left-sided.

He's playing well (albeit in a lower quality league).

    Let's get him tinykit.giftinykit.giftinykit.gif

  3. Well I'm sure over the summer Andy will be linked with almost every Prem club outside the top 3....

I just hope he doesn't leave. He has had a good season I think, and to think if we had Emerton consistent down the right and a good left-midfielder supplying balls to him he would of got a lot more goals.

He should only be sold if Souey has an adequate replacement lined-up... which I doubt. Since GS says he wants another forward and I think we need another forward PLUS Cole staying anyway..

Yorke will be sold and as for Jansen... well... he's good back-up at the moment..

  4. I'll got for 1-1. Cole to get Rovers off the mark. Brum to equalise controversially near the end and Souness lose it with the referee.

    WOW WHAT A PREDICTION!!? rolleyes.gifdry.gif

It wasn't a disastrous result. Souey looked really p*ssed-off with Brum's equaliser. I'm glad that even on the last day of the season GS still was burning with passion... probably because that goal made us lose £1m and possibly restrict us more in the transfer market..

I see Damien Johnson was giving it his all......funny how players give 110% against their former clubs... they should be giving that for every game on their wages..

  5. I have heard of biased and ridicilous, but some of these predictions are just that lol.

    biggrin.gif

Likewise with Brums summer targets/general aims.

LoL that was a good one wink.gif

Well Encks has said that he doesn't mind the banter and feels any footballer who can't see the funny side of things like that doesn't really deserve to be in the game, or something along those lines..

I see on that site they called Ewood, 'Deadwood' Park..

I remember a lot of shall we say 'deadwood' going from Ewood to Brum..

    Taylor, Johnson, Kenna.....

  6. Surely it's time for Souey to experiment a bit and try Gresko in front of Gray and let them swap positions as much as they think fit. It was tried once for half a game and was awful but maybe a second chance may show us the promise of a good combination.

    Trust me..

No matter how desperate we want to see it given a chance..

    Souey won't do it.. unsure.gif

  7. I would like Brett to play despite his underachievements. It's the last game of the season so we need some attacking play and not a closed-up midfield and hoping we can get a goal against the run of play. Also Douglas to be dropped for the same reason.

Brett has been dissapointing this season because he's been turning back and cutting inside.

Which means he's defensive and will add to the 'closed-up midfield'

I expect Emerton to provide more assistance than Jon Douglas or Flitty would... Sure Brett has underachieved but he is the only player who gives any real attacking outlet on the flanks... I mean Douglas leaves Gray controlling the whole left-side sometimes...

Besides, always the chance the 5-1 Wolves Brett might pop-in at Ewood just for the hell of it..

  8. Blackburn 1 (Cole)

    Birmingham 1 (Forsell)

    I would play:

    Enckelman

    Neill Short Nissa Gray

    Emerton Flitcroft Tugay Gresko

    Cole Stead

I would like Brett to play despite his underachievements. It's the last game of the season so we need some attacking play and not a closed-up midfield and hoping we can get a goal against the run of play. Also Douglas to be dropped for the same reason.

  9. I don't think we should label this as a bad part on Souey for telling Todd to leave. He simply refused to be on the bench and hence a part of the Blackburn squad so why bother to keep him, I know it shows his desire to be in the starting line-up, but also shows immaturity. He should of just sat his ass on the bench, he soon would if told he wouldn't of got paid that week unless he did.

I must admit I am sure we could recoup some £££ for Andy. I expect Portsmouth to go for him again after just missing out on him before we snapped him up.

Hopefully this will pave the way for Nissa's proper chance and also the arrival of Van Buyten laugh.gif

  10. When it comes to girls... I'm not picky at all..

    *lowers head in shame*

What are the Northern lasses like? lol

They are a bit like threads on an internet messageboard.

Loads can be started, but many are crap and the quality ones are hard to come by.

and some are just created when someone is 'wondering' about something biggrin.gif

  11. The Porto president has claimed he will fight Abramovich (someone he has labelled as the worst man in football) to the death for Jose Mourinho.

Just like Charlton said that they'd definitely fight and keep Scott Parker? rover.gif

Hasn't David Beckham got like a £100m release-clause. I don't know if I can see Abramovich paying that for one player.... but who knows..

Although, I think Joaquin would be a cheaper option but then again I'm sure they want Becks for more than just footballing reasons.

And I think Joaquin will join Rovers this summer.. laugh.gif
