By the way, is anyone going to Eng-Trin? We are going to soak up the atmosphere and would like to meet up with people. Also if anyone is coming from Blackburn, we'd love it if you could pick up some Rovers stuff for us (assuming the store has any left, as the online store doesn't seem to).
Clare and I are going for the atmosphere, Charlie. I'm sure we could pick up some stuff from the shop for you. Plenty of pre-printed Pedersen shirts in there!

Applied for another seven conditionally. Not expecting anything more of them now, they've already surpassed my expectations with the last game they gave us.

It's what I said in the last page. You ask for seven matches (category one last time I think, may well be the same this time), and FIFA charge you for the most expensive. If tickets become available at least your name is in the ballot. If you get any of the matches, they refund the difference. If you get nothing, they refund the whole thing. Just be prepared to pay category one prices and say bye-bye to a few hundred quid for a period of time with no guarentee of getting anything in return.

Ok. Do you think ANY team scores every dozen corners? Except maybe Chelsea, with that bugger Terry blasting them in. It's not like he shoots EVERY corner he takes. Yet you're saying we've bagged two from normal corners, one from this. Hardly seems like it's cost us too dearly. Can't contribute to the stats for corner goals mind, perhaps someone else can.
Obviously no, he wouldn't be shooting if he didn't think he could score. If he doesn't for much longer, he's bound to give it up. The point is though, Hughes wouldn't be letting him shoot from them if he didn't think he could score them.
I reckon he's come pretty close a couple of times, and we could conceivably get one anyway if the keeper doesn't handle the pressure well if it drops into the box after a poor tip (That makes it a must against David James!).
I'm not saying we've bagged two from normal ones. I'm saying that I can straightaway name two goals simply from one player from normal corners. Even if MGP scores one of these corners, it doesn't make up for the other 80 he hasn't scored from. He'd have to score 3-5 corners a season just to justify not aiming for decent headers of the ball like Nelsen.
He hasn't scored from a corner in one and a half seasons. I don't care if every one of his corners in training goes in. That would say far more abot Brad than MGP. He shouldn't shoot from corners at all. If he ever does score one then sadly it will be taken as concrete justification for the dozens upon dozens of times he has tried it and hit the first defender.

Because they're all shots! We have scored one corner as a direct result of him trying to shoot. Unless you can name any others. I can think of two Andy Todd goals this season that have come from different types of corners, and I'm not counting the one against Villa where it was never really cleared from a corner either.
We all saw the telegraph article about him scoring six in one game. It's a bit of a strange thing to point out to me - he wouldn't be shooting if he didn't think he could score would he?

I requested seven matches months ago where I paid FIFA an extortionate amount of money for the opportunity to maybe be allocated one match automatically. I didn't actually get it through the site. I've never even got to a point where I can purchase any tickets in this phase, even Iran Vs Angola with an obstructed view.

You know why he takes those 'silly shots from corners'? He once scored (I can't remember the exact number) 4 or 5 goals DIRECT FROM CORNERS in one youth game. You won't be annoyed if he puts one in, and realistically how often do we score from corners? I'd say he's come close to bagging goals from them on a number of occasions.
In fact, I'd say throwing Kuqi right up near the goalie for those corners would probably be distracting enough to enhance Gamst's chances of scoring. Or Shefki might even nudge it in himself. Of course, the problem is that requires us to play Kuqi!
What you're suggesting is that he used to score goals direct from corners against kids, so he should try it in the Premier League? Against, y'know, good keepers? Keepers who can reach the crossbar? In over a season of trying, all he does is occasionally achieve one where the goalkeeper has to tip it over again. He hits the first man far more often than he does this.
Whipping set pieces on target at pace is extremely useful from free kicks at an angle - see Man united away, Boro at home. In my opinion, we should be scoring more goals from corners with the kind of delivary he is capable of, if he'd just put it in the box. I can only think of one goal (Norwich at home) where the corner-shot has worked, and that involved Dickov flicking on a ball at a very strange angle to stop the ball going out of play at the near side.

Charlton are doing their best to stop Bolton creeping up on us. They're currently only losing 3-0.
I guarentee that they will play like demons against us though.

I think a consideration may be the number of tickets you want. I can see individual tickets being returned a few times, but I imagine getting tickets for two people for the same game is very difficult.

Not in the mood to post a detailed match report now. Was sat next to some total prats on the coach and it's done my head in.
All I will say is that it is a big worry that we have turned a match against one of the best teams in Europe into a vital game.

Does the legal system really work on the basis of "probably"? Very disappointing to hear, although I'm glad we finally know after months of pesculation.

Spot on, Hughesy. One team's away game is another team's home game. I won't pretend I've never watched a game on dodgy TV, but there are some people who believe it is reprehensible for pubs to show the home games and bloody brilliant that they show the away games. The law is the law - and having our games on dodgy Sky doesn't help our club in any way, shape or form.

This post details when the expected finish of the hearing was expected. Since then, nothing has been heard and nobody has indicated any knowledge of what has happened, despite countless people asking.
This post, just two above the request, explains the reasons for whether or not we'll actually hear about the result. As it has been nearly two months since the hearing was expected to end then the information we have clearly indicates that we've probably had something favourable hushed up. This isn't conclusive, but its all there if you look for it.
A far more pertinant (sp?) question was the one about whether the result would appear in the finances, and how it would appear in there. "Does anybody know when the final outcome is due for this legal battle" is basically a question that has appeared numerous times on the very same page of the thread. Its hardly like somebody is going to go "Oh, bugger, yeah, I forgot, we won and got £4m. Here are all the newspaper reports..."

Probably Pedersen's vs Fulham. Brilliant team goal. He did so well to take it out of the air like that and gave Warner no chance by burying it in off the bar.
