  1. Also remember you people picking Big Sam that means that Kevin Davies and Kevin Nolan would be in the England squad.

Big Sam uses what he's got available. If Rooney and Lampard were in the Bolton ranks I doubt Davies and Nolan would be first team regulars. That is why he's my choice as he makes the best of what he's got.

  2. Surprised this has'nt already happened so here we go.

Sven Goran Eriksson is leaving his post as England Manager after this summers World Cup. Many names have been suggested but, 6 weeks on no successor has been appointed. With the FA talking to many potential candidates who's your choice for the top job?

My choice is Sam Allardyce and watch Bolton plumpet.

  3. It's not worth letting him go for less than £10 million. He has his fault's but who doesn't. He's a Man Ure fan but with the marketing from Norway, the goals and assists he gets and the damage to the clubs reputation (in becoming a selling club) £10 million must be a minimum bid in my view. He's a valuble first team player now and the manager seems to appreciate that by putting him straight back in the team after injury.

  4. Deluded bunch those Geordies - they reckon Bellers might go back - link

On that link a guy explains that they need a Shearer type player who can hold the ball up and win headers. With some very clever PR and film editing those dumb Geordies might be fooled into thinking the new Shearer is at Blackburn in the form of Kuqi. £15 million and we might start talking? laugh.gif

  5. Apparently Newcastle have signed a new sponsorship deal with Knorr and have developed a cube with Black and White stripes and Souness's face on it.

It's called it the "laughing stock" !!  -  Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of supporters.

  6. Shame a big club like Manure had to resort to bully boy tactics on Sav last night. How many games on the bounce now has Savage left the field black and blue. Fair play to the lad he keeps on going with barely a bad word but how daft are these teams managers. He's not exactly our playmaker now is he. We are very lucky that these idiots don't bother scouting us and seeing that Savage is our foil allowing the rest of the team to play football. laugh.gif

  7. It also showed in his short cameo appearance that Peter is no way a replacement for MGP on the left wing yet.

Lets give the boy a chance Phil. 15 minutes on a suspect pitch against a champions league team this seems a little harsh. I also thought Pedersen suited his forward position. We saw more of him and with his heading ability made a nice change from Kuqi.

I think Hughes will try not to start with Pedersen up front if he can help it. He must show Kuqi and Bentley loyalty (striking is their trade?) and probably doesn't want to split the Gray/Pedersen partnership up down the left. tinykit.gif

  8. All this talk about what MGP needs to do to perform at the highest level is a bit weird, be thankful he's not quicker or stronger because if he was he'd be with Duffer in Chelsea's reserves by now. As it is we have a player that might be able to perform for us for many years to come.

What are we concluding then? Rovers players should perform well but not too well, otherwise Chelsea will come in and steal them away?
