  1. The man's a fool.  If he forces him out, Sourmess will go for constructive dismissal and get his dues anyway.

Thank f*%k he left us when he did. A few more bad results may of left Mr. Williams in similar position. I don't then we'd of had the cash for Savage, Bellamy and co. tinykit.gif

  2. They interviewed Souness on Sky Sports after the game. The reporter said to him:

"Graeme, you were playing a top eight team today - what problems did Blackburn pose for you today?" or something to that effect.

Souness' eyes dropped for a second and seemingly lost their sparkle. I think he realised what a terrible error in judgement he has made.

On the BBC he seemed more interested in praising Tugay's performance. As if he has pointing out 'I signed him'. If he was still with us I think Tugay would of retired by now. tinykit.gif

  3. He is alo out of contract in the summer. It doesn't need a rocket scientist to put 2 and 2 together and predict what will happen if the Board and Trustees don't give him a bit more support.

Is this true! Sparky's contract is up at the end of the season! Come on rovers get this situation sorted now. Too long have we been waiting for a manager of this pedigree. Please lets not be the laughing stock of the footballing world by letting him go without giving it our very best to keep him. ohmy.gif

  4. It is a very good idea in principal, but there's all the legal stuff which would probably stop it from happening. As a club, Rovers can't be responsible for 1000 kids (just for example) because one of them may get injured or whatever and you can bet that the parent will want to blame the club.

Could always remove the seats and replace with beenie bags and those little plastic balls. tinykit.gif

  5. We probably would be better off letting them in for nothing. But I for one would rather they had their own area or at least a choice.

If they want to sit with Mum or Dad fine but, I'm sure many kids especially teenagers would rather sit with their mates. Then they could smoke their cigarettes and kick their coke cans down the emergency exits as much as they wanted.

Rovers marketing could do with picking up on this too. Imagine how many ice lollies, sweets etc thay could sell at Uncle Jacks tuck shop. Particularly if thay branched out into cigarettes and alco pops.

It's not as if we are tight on space in the stadium. tinykit.gif

  6. I've said it once and I'll say it again, I don't doubt Pedersen's talents (although some new ones have been put forward on this thread, ie Pires) but, we need to find a way of putting this talent to better use. He simply cannot either beat his full back or put a cross of real quality into the middle which is his job. That is why others and myself have suggested a change of position to attacking midfielder or to a forward position (Solsjaer, Dalglish etc), simply because it's only when he's in the penalty area that he comes to life. tinykit.gif

  7. Why do some people give MGP so much stick? Hes performed very well this season and has chipped in with vital, vital goals. Just because he didn't have his best game yesterday (along with another 8 or 9 players) doesn't mean that he's useless. Only a couple of weeks ago against Pompey I thought he was our best player by quite a margin.

I've yet to read anyone slating Pedersen. We all see his obvious talent in front of goal but, we need more from him.

The answer to that seems to be a change of position to maximise his impact in games and get more from the left wing position. tinykit.gif

  8. Don't forget that Saha plays for one of the top clubs in the top league in the world. Player's don't end up in that position by accident.

His off the ball run which lead to the goal was without doubt worldclass and in my view you couldn't defend against it. If anything we should of been quicker to close down Giggs and stop him running at our back four. tinykit.gif

  9. To get the place filled the Rovers have to get kids in for free on a PERMANENT basis . Obviously these kids will bring in adults with them so revenue will go up as well . Better to have seats filled with future fans than to have them sit at home worshiping Man U and Chelsea from their armchairs.

Like Cletus I despair of the lack of imagination from the Rovers . I am also heartily sick and tired of those who blame the Blackburn public themselves for the fall in attendance .

Totally agree with you. The Kids need their own permanent seating area away from adults and get in for a quid or something. Like Liverpool did in the 50s and 60s with a junior kop. Bottom tier Jack Walker Darwen side is my suggestion with Rod, Jane and Freddie as stewards. Imagine Mourniho or Fergie taking a load of @#/? off the 8 to 14 year old fratutity. tinykit.gif
