  1. That was bad.

This team, who reportedly lost confidence in JDT, ought to look themselves in the mirror and question their mental strength, their football ability and their own career achievements.

Love or hate JDT, he was a winner, who took on a team of, let's have this right, losers. And they had the audacity to question his methods.

As for Eustace, I would love to give him time, but he let us all down this evening and I will be closely following his post match presser.

I want ownership of a poor performance - no excuses, no cliches.

I'll be the first to say it... shame on any "fan" who boos Sam Gallagher if/when he comes back as an Ipswich Town player on March 29th. (Say what you will, but there will be boos!).

The lad gave (gives!) everything for this club - on and off the pitch - 100% effort since day 1, and that is all that counts.

Fact is, Gallagher isn't far off having a 1 goal every 4 game ratio. 43 goals in 200 league games. Not bad for a guy utilised 75% of the time on RW. (214 appearances with 46 goals total).

Save the boos for the Bradley Orr's, Shane Duffy's and Danny Murphy's.

Not only does Sam Gallagher deserve applause, I'll personally be standing when I do it.

I don't think there will be anyone booing Gallagher? He gets criticised but really don't think he's hated.

  3. I hate criticising JDT, but Wharton really struggles adapting to the pace of the game.

He shouldn't have brought him on.

Hedges should really look at his character tonight. It wasn't the time for a cheeky attempt on goal. If he'd skied it over then fair enough but that was absolutely stupid.

That said, he was the difference maker when he came in. Brereton was poor, dreadful in helping us keep the lead.

    Football is a cruel game.

In his pre match presser, JDT is his usual self, no signs of suggested toxicity.

He talks of frustrations and disappointment, says it's "not great but not a complete waste."

He says we need to stick together.

And just to add, he clearly states he believes in his current squad and although there's been a missed opportunity, the whole club needs to stick together for the rest of the season.

    Repectfully, I disagree.

CM is where you control games from. Our CM's are as weak as the proverbial.

I have to disagree CM manage the game. Our midfield AND defence spend so much time knocking back and forth that the opposition have time to set themselves up to defend. Our forwards are then trying to to beat two and three defenders at a time. The CM need to know when to support the defence, when to slow a game down and when to stretch and game. Take a look at yesterday Dack was constantly looking forward and was JRC, Buckley did try (crazy that he was pulled rather than Morton) but all the out balls went mostly to Morton who EVEN when there was no one around him knocked the ball back to the defence. Birmingham could then get two banks of four around our forwards.

Fair enough. I absolutely agree that the CM's control and manage the games. I think we did that yesterday, our possession shows that, as does 8 eight shots on target.

But ultimately, yesterday as an example, Brereton was given a chance to score and finish the game off, but didn't. He also missed a glorious opportunity against Bristol City last week which puts us 1 up. Gally whenever he had the ball yesterday just gave it away which is a recurring theme.

Broughton's point about needing 'game changers' is spot on. Our game changer last season and the first half of this season was Brereton. With his goals dried up, and we can't rely on Dack too much so soon, we need a striker or two who are in-form.

  6. CM isn't the problem.

    It's a lack of in-form strikers.

Brereton appears to have dropped Diaz from his name.

Gallagher simply isn't good enough. He has one hell of a strike on him but isn't intelligent enough to consistently get in to positions to unleash shots. Nor can he be trusted on-the-ball outside the area, he loses it every time. Needs moving on.

Vale shows willingness but needs a year out on loan to 'toughen up'.

We need two strikers, who can be trusted on and off the ball, in the next three days.

I doubt it puts people off. People sign up here to engage with other supporters. Go to any football forum on the planet and it is the same. They talk about biscuits and crisps in the PNE transfer thread. Either get a sense of humor or follow Nixons every move if you want pure transfer talk. Nothing comes out related to our transfers anyway - we need to talk about something - be a very boring place then - which would definitely put people off from joining.

We’ve built a lovely little community over here, many different kinds of posters with different views. You could liken it to a load of daft drunk blokes in a pub chatting shit about the footy and having a laugh, passing the time. It’s not an official source of info, it’s like social media for Rovers fans.

I’m sure we used to have two transfer threads though? One for links and one for chat/discussion.

I concur btw. I love the idea of a forum/messageboard, it's fantastic to see a commnuity thrive in the way BRFCS has. My one and only point is this is a transfer thread and I think other chat should be in another thread.

If there's nothing to talk about re transfers this thread should be quiet. That's just the way I view it. I'm not in charge though.

    FYI I'm blocked by Nixon...

It's almost as if absolutely no one has any idea what's going on. Imagine that with Venkys in charge

    Surely that's a good thing?

It seems no-one in the media can get a sniff of the inner workings around the manager search - quite right it should be that way.

This also seems to be the case in the last two transfer windows with signings being kept relatively behind-the-scenes.

Samba's captain for me, but many seem to give him a free pass, i suppose cos of the odious Kean factor.

Even went to a poxy Russian club, wouldn't have minded as much if he went somewhere decent.

At least if Brentford JR is upgrading, for now.

There's a podcast that covers the Venkys reign that suggests Samba leaving saved the club from serious trouble i.e liquidation

    And Samba knew it.
