  1. I knew we would get something from this game!

What a season! O and Jose, Shut the **** up! geez man u've just won the title just enjoy it ph34r.gif u put out a reserve team what do u expect? you arent invincible as the champions league and FA cup has shown.

I look forward to hopefully travelling to some UEFA games with the blue and white army abroad.

This rover is certainly proud to be a rover tinykit.gif

  2. can't see us winning this one i'm afraid. Pompey at home on the back of three successive wins and our frequent inability to perform against the lower teams away leads me to only one result, and thats a win for portsmouth sad.gif

it hurts me to say it, but i see a 2-0 win for pompey, with a poor performance by rovers. if we want anything else we will need our bigger players to perform how the admiral frequently does

  3. I managed to watch half an hour of the game before I had to go to work, and in the last five minutes of that our defending was calamatous! Thank God for Milan Baros is all I can say!

Villa looked very good on MOTD, and we were fortunate with the reid handball. Scrappy game from us, scrappy goals.

More than makes up for the Spurs game though. shame Gerrard had to go give the ball to the opposition dry.gif

  4. that's fair enough! It's nice finally to debate with people about blackburn rather than just the drone of non-rovers who still claim we win games by knocking opponents off the park smile.gif

As for the soon-to-be-relegated strikers: i'n not sure who I would take to be honest. Heskey is a big lump, Forsell has yet to prove he is the same player since his injury, and I'm not sure Lua Lua would work that well with Bellamy.

I think we might have to look outside the three teams to get the striker we really need

  5. Everyone in this thread seems to have overlooked Upson imo. Our defence can be good at times, but if we stick with Andy Todd we are not going to progress like we are all aspiring to. He tries hard, but basically he is just not a good enough player to cope with the premiership week in week out. With upson on sum large wages aswell I'd expect a big clear out at birmingham. With him harbouring England ambitions not so long ago i'm pretty sure, although he appears professional he would want back into the premiership.

I've always thought Arca was a class act - if he can play at left back then get him in definitely, but with Upson, i'm sure there would be competition.

As for Dunn, ill reserve judgement. Great player, great injury record. I'm not going to openly advocate him coming back, but if the managemnt decided that is what would be best for Blackburn then I'd be more than happy to see him in a rovers tinykit.gif again

I BLOODY HOPE BIRMINGHAM GO DOWN, I REALLY DO biggrin.gif

  6. I'd be very disappointed if we didn't take three points from this game. Villa may have a good away record, but I don't think they will compete at fortress ewood.

Looking forward to see if the Bellamy-Pongo relationship will take off after seeing signs of promise against spuds. Don't think pongo will be staying beyond the season though with liverpools problems upfront, which i think is a shame as the kid has raw talent that i think will come through as games go on.

back to the game, i'm so confident that we will win that ive bet one of my last tenners on rovers to win against my villa supporting mate!

Will only get to watch the first half though which is annoying as I will be working rolleyes.gif
