  1. I make it a year ago today that the HMS Rovers set sail from Hull for 3 days of madness in Rotterdam! Happy days...

What an absolute amazing trip that was...

Singing in the bar with loads of Blues - good times. I think I had the pleasure of meeting Tris on that voyage. Morning after I was definitely the roughest man on the ferry.

  2. That is the common conception yes, but I also dont no any Doctors, Lawyers etc so I couldn't possibly comment on it. Just think he was being a tad naive in saying that he's never met anyone of working class background thats taken Cocaine, he was basically sayin that people of working class background done use Cocaine.

  3. Cocaine snorting Swiss bankers and London lawyers are as much a part of the real world as cocaine snorting kids from Shad. Both are potentially wrecking their lives.

The point at issue is that criminalising drugs has not stopped drug use from being endemic across all strata of society. It would be better legal and regulated than illegal and unregulated.

No1s disputing the fact that Swiss bankers and London lawyers are part of the real world, you said though you've never met anyone of working class that snorts cocaine which I just thought was laughable, walk round with blinkers do you?

  4. I think that says it all about how distant you are from the real world ........

Go into any town center pub in the land and you could find evidence of such use .

Your trouble is , Philip , your theories are all from text books and reports - all written from people like yourself who don't see the reality at the sharp end .

You stick to your top level high finance meetings and stop trying to impose your idiotic social experiments on the rest of us .

 @ Never meeting a working class Cocaine user

  5. Awesome, 3 of us went drinking in Blackburn before the game and were sat in Gibbees sports bar (cafe stylo) when we saw a group of about 10 inbreds walking past king georges hall towards the Jubilee. Outside the Jubilee I think there was 3 or four riot vans who turned the b**t**ds away. We carried on drinking in town but after a while the pub we were in (FJ Nicols) closed and the police moved us on to the Jubilee. Inside it was packed and we were not allowed to leave untill the police ok'd it. We were told to go to the Sun (not the sort of place I would go normally or the jubilee to be honest) It was jammed pack in there and the police blocked the entrance with horses. Again we were not allowed to leave untill the police ok'd it. This time we were made to leave in groups of 5 but were herded into a convoy of Rovers fans surrounded by police and riot vans with the a helicopter spotlight shining down on us from above. I'd never been in anything like this before and it just added to the excitement and tension. After the Sun had emptied into the convoy we were escorted all the way to Ewood. Outside the moorings we were halted for what seemed like an eternity (needed the loo) apparently because the moorings was full of dingles.

The game wasn't the best but the atmosphere was unbelievable and the home end of the ground was packed. When the 2nd goal went in the celebration was like nothing i'd ever experienced. We sat in the riverside stand next to the Darwen end. It rocked all the way through the game and had that much of an affect on us that we got our season tickets in the riverside the season after. When the 2nd goal went in the celebration was like nothing i'd ever experienced.

I was in that corner too and its the best game I've been to at Ewood, was amazing loved every min of it!

  6. "Perhaps next time we'll just get on with the job, without letting the historical baggage weigh us down. After all, it won't be another 17 year wait until the next match. Same division, next season, our opportunity for revenge will surely come."

Wasn't 17 years but we wasn't in the same divison

    and we still won :D

  7. It doesnt take the body all that long though after the user of ecstasy to get back to normal, couple of months maybe.

I know quite a few people that used to take it on a regular basis until about 7-8 months, all those people are fine now. At the time they had mood swings and all that other malarky. You do get back to normal after a few months rest.

It might come back to haunt them in later life though but they all seem fine now....

  8. Theres a difference, a very big one at that between recreational drugs and hard drugs though.

We wont really know the side effects of long term ecstasy use for a good few years when the previous generation to me start to get older.

If everyone from that era starts going mental, then I shall start to worry

Not many people die from a direct result from taking ecstasy its mostly dehydration or drinking too much water.
