You really are a moron arent you, how can comment on players when judging from your teletext reports!
Erm no im not, my mate is in the crowd at Ewood and is ringing/texting when she can with updates, she says he's playing pants...
Oh and by the way, personal attacks are lame, so your the moron! lol
-
Reckon PSV would give us a refund/part exchange on Ooijer? lol
-
To all the people who doubted Gamst!!
Ooijer = waste of money, go back to Holland...
-
Seriously, this isnt good enough is it, something needs to improve/change fast!!
-
It was worth it for the amount of money we got for a sicknote who has been useless since.
Did you not just read what i put about his last match??
Seems to be allot more usefull atm for Brum then many of the midfielders we currently have!
-
He made one mistake in a poor touch which helped Ipswich score, he then assisted DJ's goal with a good cross and then helped to pull the Brums together when they went down to 10 men and then scored a good goal.
Also managed the full 90 mins...
Quoted as having a "busy" performance by SkySports...
Sounds good to me!
We need someone who can pull our team together when were not doing to well, especially considering the dismissals and penalties we have given away this season.
Seems like the kind of player we need to me!!
-
McCarthy and Nonda MUST start 2nd leg....two strikers and lets finish it!!!!
AND BE THERE ON THE NIGHT FFS!!!!!!!
Or Jeffers...?
-
We went through but we didn't win either game.
Blimey!! Got me there then mate!! lol
-
have we ever actually won a UEFA cup match? Because I dont think we have.
Can anyone confirm?
CSKA Soffia Round 1 before Celtic last time...
-
Given our superb home record in Europe I can't see any problems for the 2nd leg.........
What like Celtic last time???
-
Lol. Was right then... 2-2
Still rather dissapointed that we ended up with yet another draw!!
-
Just goes to show how we rely on some select players too much, ala Brad and Tugay.
Here we go again, draw number how many??
Oh well, at least we got an away goal...
Ooijer is looking a waste of money!!
-
How is gamst playing?
-
I got a feeling its gonna be either 1-1 or 2-2, another draw and point for us me thinks...
-
I wouldnt play Todd because he's been pants and has also let down the team in the media, notice how Sparky has not played him once since Ooijer arrived...
Gamst is still a good player although i would give him a game on midfielder center left as he doesnt seem to enjoy going back and forth on the wing.
As for Nonda, if i was a teams manager and i saw a promising youngster in the youth i would always give him a chance.
Besides Sparky gave Johnson a few games early last season so why not Garner? He's shown he's good in the acadamy and reserves so why not give him a chance...
-
Better to give the home grown talent a chance then give a chance to someone who has been at the club a matter of days...
I mean if he's not given a chance then we will never really see his full potential.
Thats what i said anyway, my opinion...
-
I say, formation for the next match should be:
Friedel (gk)
Neill (lb)
Emerton (rb)
Henchoz (cb) - no to Ooijer till he stops making risky challenges on forwards of other teams in the box
Zurab (cb)
Peter (mfl)
Bentley (mfr)
Savage (cmf)
Gamst (cmf)
Garner (cf) - he's had some very impressive performances of late, and as Jeffers is suspended and Roberts injured then why not.
Benni (cf)
Subs: Brown, Olsson (also looked good in reserves), Tugay, Reid and Derbyshire.

Shame we didnt get Duff during the summer, as i bet he would have come back, then we could have got Dunn and it would have been like the good old days. lol

I'm here to stay - DavidSep 11 2006
As reported in the Birmingham Mail:
DAVID Dunn has admitted that Blackburn Rovers' attempt to sign him did arouse his interest, for family reasons.
EDIT. Look above at Mohelger's post and you will see the link. Please don't cut and paste an entire article - link to it instead.
Thanks.

That couldn't be further from the truth...Jeffers is one of the best examples you'll see of a traditional striker in the modern game. His entire game is about putting the ball in the back of the net...or being a 'fox in the box' as Wenger liked to call him. Being a link player and laying goals on for others never was and never will be part of his game.
Maybe so, but he did seem to be playing more of a providing role against Sheffield Utd. Worrying thing is he actually had a much more solid game then Benni!!
Fife Rover: "RTM: Are you always this tenacious?" What do you mean dude?
-
I would love Bellamy to come back but the words "i havent just come here for one season" are still ringing in my ears, as well as many other Rovers fans.
I know Roberts was injured for the Sheffield Utd game but it does make me wonder whether Sparky has noticed our need for someone more of a forward then striker, e.g. the way chris sutton was at Celtic, Franny is more of a forward who would provide (pass to Benni) as aposed to strike on target all the time.
I just think we need a solid couple of midfielders in a centre attacking midfielder and a right attacking midfielder. Who they are i have no idea.
Yes midfielders were expensive in the summer, but still think we should have tried for someone like Valencia who joined Wigan for a low fee...
-
RTM: You seem to have an unhealthy interest in other men's equipment! Kindly keep it to yourself there's a good boy!
Just refering to daren's ego...
-
Yes well done daren, everyone knows you got a big penis now!! How dare i agree with John, not when all of you have been laying into him for having his opinion... and now your doing the same to me!
-
Isnt it funny how when somebody has a bad performance on there first day at Rovers its ok as they were probably not fully gelled with the club yet and there fitness wasnt perfect bla bla bla, but when we sell someone and he has a poor first game for his new club it must mean he's pants.
The truth is we will miss Kuqi, Dickov and Bellamy as we have got replacements who just dont cut it...
The partnership of Roberts and Benni has been poor at best, Jeffers looked ok yesterday although his fitness level is still in doubt, and Nonda had one of the least uneventful debuts ever and just looks to similar a player to Roberts and Benni.
I must admit our strike partnership isnt all to blame (even if Benni did play woefully yesterday), our midfield has been non existent with Savage just looking to defensive in midfield and not getting forward enough, Gamst looking poor (even if i think he is our best midfielder at present), Bentley having flashed of decency although he never seems to come out with the final product. Reid has looked tired and poor at best and Tugay who we have all been waiting for to return to full fitness as he will make "all the difference" and he prooved yesterday that it is a larger problem all round which is making it impossible for us to perform...
I would also like to add that i dont think this is a "stupid thread" and it is actually highlighting some real problems some rovers fans on here have, mainly denial...
The simple fact is this cant carry on to go this way and something needs to change...

Shame we got Mokoena on the bench and no sign of Todd. lol
Maybe we should push Neill into the center and put Peter on the left of defence to create a bit more stability and width on the defence. Ooijer just isnt doing the job is he now?
So Mokoena is on for Tugay, sounds like were going more defensive.
My mate hasnt mentioned Tugay, is he having a bad day?
