  1. Thats typical story-out-of-nothing journalism. Sometimes people need to look behind the story. He was probably asked how he felt about starting on 2 games this season.

Look at what he is actually quoted as saying.

""Every player wants to play as much as possible .I've always been patient, but I don't like sitting on the bench. I started more games towards the end of last season, but it has been more frustrating this season once again.""

It's not like he's stamping his feet for a move benni-style is it. Personally I'd play him before Tugay nowadays anyway.

Exactly. If he said he was happy to be sitting on the bench, that would be something to worry about.

  2. Without being indelicate the paper's reserved for No 2's Flopsy.

As for the Happy clappy board, Like aesf I haven't been on it... I dont think.

Anyway what are you hanging around for Flopsy? Surely you mods are no longer necessary, surplus to requirements and therefore by definition also just as free to leave as I.

btw You appear to have quickly adopted my suggestion for the new name of ICBINF....... so when will it be officially re-named on the home page? imo Far less aggressive sounding than ICBINF which sounds like a fight bubble from the old Adam West Batman series.

This is getting very tiresome very quickly.

  3. True, but then Hughes has managed October's performance on about 1/% of Fergie's budget... I know which I think is more deserving of the manager of the month (although I hope Hughes' doesn't win as we all know what an albatross that award is for most managers.

On another note, nice to see us getting more plaudits www.squarefootball.net/article/article.asp?aid=4982

LeftWinger's right I reckon. All those 4-0s win.

Plus Rovers have got Man U coming up and we could do with the curse landing on RFW rather than Hughesy! :)

  4. A good 5 or 6 years from him left then!

IF in January Fulham still want to pay £5m for Roberts would you take it? I would!

I'd be sad to see Jay Rob go as we've definitely not seen the best of him yet.

On the other hand he is injury-prone and there's no doubt that Santa does a similar job with better finishing.

I think we should wait til summer at least. A decent cup run (or 2 :)) will add loads of games to our schedule and we'll need the cover.

  5. was a few years back but i remember the injustice like it was yesterday

david dunn was running down the wing, fabrizio ravenelli hacked dunny down so he needed to be stretchered off-no free kick given, ravenelli runs up the other end of the pitch, sees a shiny silver coin on the floor and makes a dive for it.

free kick says the ref, i beg to differ says i

free kick ravenelli scores, dunn go's off with serious knee injury.

they then score again from sloppy defending.

    we pull one back

then late on in the game we score a great team goal, only to be knocked off as offside when clearly i was more in an offside position then markus bent was

highly annoying but thats my first rovers away game :(

I remember that one. The ref was doing a "get up you poof" gesture at Dunny, then the stretcher came on.

  6. LOOK AT ME ME MUM IM TELLY BANGING ME DRUM AGAIN

Abbey, that's it in a nutshell.

In the original poll I voted to have em carry on but stop trying to put off the keeper (as if that's going to bother any of them, even Lehman) - that's long since changed and they can shove their drums up their asses as far as I'm concerned.

Maybe they can organise it like the hooligans allegedly do - away from the grounds! They can meet up with the Sheff Wednesday band and that Pompey bellend-ringer each week at Derby station, annoy the hell out of each other then get kicked in by the plod. Meanwhile the Blackburn End can get some bloody singing in!

    -rant ends-

  7. Okay we'd all like to see our strikers chasing balls down like Dickov. Trouble is a striker with Benni's skill and flair combined with a Dickov-like work ethic would be way out of our price-range.

It's not 1994 anymore, we're not in the Champions League so we get arte or labore, not both.

I'm still very happy that Benni's a Rover!
