You have to ask yourself, why are they here?

can only be a vehicle for the rest of their group, maybe a vehicle to launder money?  They are not interested in football in fact completely disinterested.

I think the same, they probably need the club for some reason, probably washing or moving dirty money. The fa is also probably just as guilty of god knows what, so unwilling to step in. Dodgy corporate bodies, all of em!

  2. Blackburn was buzzing in the early 90s... everyone on the footy tip... great memories of those times... Speedie & Shearer could have been interesting, but I reckom Dalglish called it right to make Shearer the n0 1 and move Speedie on... But, of all those old school players I was most upset we lost Scott Sellars he was my fav from the late 80s/early 90s...

  3. My memories...

I could hear the Burnley fans being delivered from all the way up the Livesey Branch outside the Navigation. Was sat right over by their fans in the Jack Walker stand, by far the best atmos I've ever experienced! Some one right by us had a banner reading 'there's only one simon garner and he hates the dingles'. As kick off got closer the noise kept rising and by the time the teams actually did kick off the whole place was throbbing. They scored early on, but Rovers responded strongly and after Dunn had equalised he gave the Burnley fans a long hard stare (way after his team-mates had headed back to their own half for the restart). Two more goals for Rovers shut the Dingles up and sent spirits off the scale... The fireworks let off behind the riverside early in the second half had perhaps been let off in full confidence of a Rovers victory, but Rovers being Rovers, they had to give their fans a scare... I got a text from a mate congratulating my team's win at exactly the same moment as Burnley got their second. The collective blood pressure of Ewood rose by 300% and the added time seemed like an hour, but the final whistle went and everybody blue and white sighed in massive relief - home win. A Burnley fan got out a banner reading 'beaten but still above you lot' which seemed to say that deep down they do know we are the superior club! Outside people were hugging and jumping in the streets, I had to get back to Birmingham, but the texts I got told me that the celebrations had carried on into the night and the town would go to bed very very happy.

  4. I've been to 4 games at Ewood this season, I think the atmos has been pretty good, not miles better than last season or anything, but just good. Anyway, I'm writing this because today on Five Live Sports Xtra the commentator, not sure who, completely slated our support "Rovers fans are a pretty sedate lot at the best of times, but they are very quiet today'.....obviously I wasn't there today, but Ive been to enough footie down the years to know that we aren't any quieter than your average club....so why do we get comments like that? Beggers belief sometimes!!

  5. My first away game was Villa '92, we were top going into the game, 0-0 in the end. All i remember is the guy on the PA anoucing that it was a clash featuring two fo the games best centre forwards: Shearer and Saunders...I think the away end laughed a bit at that...we all knew!!!! And the sumo wrestlers at half time.....CLASSY
