  1. I know is Heresy to you lot, but Google didn't help. Is there a similar board for Burnley fan(s). I have to do a preview for that game as well.
  2. I am soooo glad you all enjoyed your trip south. As you can imagine I am disappointed we didn't get anything from the game. In the first half we were very good, and should have led by more than 1 going into the break (and would have been if Doyle had passed to Sidwell instead of trying to beat Freidal from an impossible angle ) Second half all change, you realised that you needed to play narrow, which is exactly what you did, putting four across the very middle of the park, overwhelming our two and ran the show. Fully deserved the equaliser. After that though it looked to me as though you were beginning to settle for a point as we were really starting to get back into it before Oster decided to pick out Bentley with a pearl of a pass . Top shot from Bentley though, deserving of winning any game. Good luck for the rest of the Season, although if you play like you did second half you will be fine, and I hope that we don't need anything from the game in May (other than maybe a chance of a UEFA place (he says hopefully))
  3. Further to HH's post above there is engineering works in the Clapham Junction area tomorrow, and the trains from CJ to Reading are slow at the best of times. I would get the tube and the train from Paddington. Link to engineering works. Enjoy your trip guys. (but not too much)
  4. Good preview there. The reverse fixture, so to speak, is here. See you on Saturday.
  5. Reason I didn't include Seol is that I am not sure he would be in the team if everyone was fit. Good player, but Coppell is loyal to those that have served him well in the past, and Little and Kitson with whom he is fighting for places with would always get the nod I think.
  6. I think at the core of this is that fact that Premiership managers will not take a punt on lower league players. Hopefully the success that Reading have had will encourage other Prem teams that the Gulf between the leagues is not as great as people once thought. Out of first choice 11. Keeper - Hahnemann - American - free from Fulham RB - Murty - Semi Scot - £750k from York - 8 years ago! LB - Shorey - English - £25k from Leyton Orient CB - Sonko - French/Senegal - Free from Brentford CB - Ingamarrson - Iceland - £300k from Wolves RM - Glen Little - England - Free from Burnley LM - Bobby Convey - American - £750k from MLS CM - Harper - England - £300k from Arsenal CM - Sidwell - England - £300k from Arsenal CF - Doyle - Irish - £80k from Cork CF - Kitson - English - £250k from Cambridge Sum Total of £2.7m - 4 'foreigners' of which only one was signed from abroad. I am sure that in future we may look further afield, but Coppell will always look to the lower leagues first. What is Hughes buying policy then?
  7. Thanks for all the responses. I have done my preview here See some of you on Saturday? Hope you don't enjoy the game too much
  8. Hello there! To return the thread started on Hob Nob Anyone?, a Reading fans board, I thought I would canvas your opinion ahead of your visit to the Madesjki on the 16th December, with the intention of doing a match preview. How does it feel being one of the four teams to have won the Prem? What do you think of Mark Hughes? UEFA Cup – Heaven or Hell? Why has your season started so indifferently? Who has performed above expectations for your team? And who not? Why do you not sell out the ground? What do you think of Reading? Score Prediction? Any finally - tell me some Interesting fact about your club?
