Great news for David, is he the first Rovers player since Jansen to get an England call??
Dunn and David Thompson?

28 weeks later didn't do it for me..why was Robert Carlyle's character made intelligent when clearly all the other rage victims had no ounce of intelligence or self-awareness whatsoever.
Even so, roll on 28 months later, i'm sure to go watch it.

I don't see the point in England B games if he's going to include Phil Neville, Lennon, Dyer, Robinson,Downing etc - what exactly is he going to find out about them that he didn't already know??? Very strange.
Good that Bentley is in - hope he gets a good chance to impress
Probably because there's very few English players currently meriting a call up to the full squad so McLaren wanted those that are within a chance of making the full step up to be surrounded by experienced players who won't let them down. Actually that's probably too much of an intelligent thought for McLaren and there's no real good reason they're there at all.

Batman Begins is amazing and even superior to Batman. The sequel-Dark Knight-is at the top of my most anticiated films for next year. You're correct about The Incredibles though. One of my favourite films ever.
I agree, Batman Begins was a great film, at least on par with Batman and definately better than the rubbish sequels that followed that one. As for the sequel to Batman Begins is Joker going to be in it? Whoever plays him has got one hell of an act to follow in Jack Nicholson.

I liked Spiderman 3, didn't come close to 1&2 though. Problem is they tried to do too much, Sandman was largely pointless, should have just made Venom the main antagonist. That might be the plan for number 4 (if they make one) though, I doubt such a huge character of the Spidey universe would die after 15 minutes screentime.

Not sure if anybody's mentioned this but a British indie band called The Crimea are offering their latest album to download for free here.
I've only listened to a few tracks so far but they seem pretty good, and for free I mustn't grumble.

I'm surprised Sergio has re-signed with the club. He's not getting a sniff, rightly or wrongly, behind Pedersen.
He might not be expecting Pedersen to be around much longer.

I used to play WoW from day one of the US betas (way back in early 2004), played US retail in late 2004, started again in early 2005 for the Euro release and hammered it for a year or so. Was in a guild that regularly cleared BWL and was all set for the opening of ..er..that desert insect instance (name escapes me), playing for 8 hours a day sometimes, then I just had a moment of clarity. I woke up. Similar to when you've had an orgasm on your own, lieing on the sofa watching some porn getting turned on by the absurdly graphic images, everything seems so right, then suddenly *pppt* bingo...its like walking in on yourself...what are you doing? what the .... are you doing?
Stuck the account on ebay, £500 thank you very much.
There's been nothing in the new content or expansion to tempt me back.
PS. Yes I shamelessly the ripped the orgasm speech from Spaced, but it fit so well!

Not strictly true, Roberts has at least scored once from open play this season
Isn't he still waiting for his first goal for us?

How fortunate are we to get Warnock in place of Lucas. I have been very very impressed with Mr Warnock from what I have seen. He was poor against Pompey, heh heh here's the funny bit, I thought he had a stinker in the second half, didn't even hear his name then I found out he was pulled at halftime for illness dummy me.
That's amazing, he scored after being taken off! (I know you meant Arsenal, im just nit picking)

Pretty sure Dietmar Hamann will have the record for the shortest stay at a club when he signed for Bolton then Man City within less than 24 hours.

glad to see gally come off the bench today, just wish he got a bit more time to try and prove himself. he's obviously doing well in training as he's ahead of peter on the bench. incidently, can anyone tell me how much longer paul has on his contract?
He signed a new contract in January along with Derbyshire, 3 years I think they were.

Wanted Wham to win but you have to laugh at how the match panned out for them

Going well so far, 1-0 WHAM

Anyone else think that we should be delighted about Roy Keane's apparent talent for management? If Sunderland continue their good form in the Premiership under Keane, we have less to worry about in terms of Fergie's successor imo.
Unfortunately Roy Keane's only doing well at championship level, Mark Hughes has done it in the premiership and at international level. Personally I don't think either will become Fergie's successor and Man U will look abroad for their next manager a la Chelsea and Arsenal.
-
Why on earth would he ever want to do that? That is unless WHU pay up his contract / have already written in that the deal is null and void if they go down.
I could be wrong but it's my understanding he has a clause in his contract that let's him leave for just £500k if WHU are relegated.

Isnt it Damnit?
Strangley, no. It's damn it or dammit. Anyway, back to the argument!

Thanks Abbey, I was thinking divisionwise though ..
From Norway's perspective I suppose it is 'down there' anyway..

Rovers fans are a strange bunch...many lambasted Bellamy going to Liverpool as he would be on the bench a lot then have a go at Lucas for West Ham for what will likely be a certain starting place! Why don't we just admit we like to slag players off when they leave?
In some people's eyes I guess there's never a "right" way for a player to leave a us.

Scorers?

I am still not convinced this is 100% definate. Why has it not been officially announced - the best sources I can find quoted are his agent (and that doesnt say he has actually signed) and people quoting the Sun (might as well quote - well cant think of anyone more ridiculous). Anyone think MH is having one last go at convincing him? He may have agreed in principle to move to West Ham but Dunn had done the same with Bolton. Maybe Neill has just announced this to try and get more money out of Liverpool, or maybe even us (seriously doubt it but you never know).
It's on SkySports which is usually fairly reliable, but I agree with you there's something about it not being officially announced that makes me think there will be another twist in this saga yet.

I went thru the Limp Bizkit stage at college too. 'Break Stuff' 'Rearranged' etc off Significant Other were brilliant songs, but cant remember if the latter was off Chocolate Starfish?. I had a Limp Bizkit vs Wheatus play-off at college, Wheatus really were pants
Incubus, got their albums but there is no real change between albums.
Wheatus' cover of A Little Respect was great!
Don't me wrong though, i'm not a fan

Has nobody ever left their job for a new one with better wages?
There is more hypocrisy in here than in Westminster
Precisely what I was thinking. So he wants to leave, whatever the reason does it really matter? No need to hate him, thanks for your time at Blackburn Lucas la la la we sign someone else we forget him before next season.

Fantastic news, it's a gamble but one that could pay off quite nicely. I think we all realise his potential has never quite been realised, but he's a good player so long as he stays fit. Which unfortunately is the big risk. Hey ho, i'm happy though...so long as a new left back and maybe even another midfielder is brought in too.

Maybe some people see it as a completely different situation but didn't Alan Shearer and Paul Scholes effectively refuse to be part of the england setup by "retiring" from international football? Not only that but it was kind of for the same reasons - ie fear of a burnout. Funny how people seemed to accept their decision to concentrate on their club when they're 30+ but at 22 it's a disgrace and he should be burnt at the stake.
Further more, both of those examples were of course asked on numerous occasions to be available for selection again. I didn't see the media fuss when they refused.
Unfortunately most people will not read past the damning headlines of "Bentley refuses England call" or the like.
