  1. No, but if you look at him overall it is still good. He hasn't been great this season, but he hasn't had many games. If in 5-10 games the poor form is still there then it is a problem. Every player, no matter how good, will have bad patches. So far he's had 5-10 badish games, some better in there and some quite poor, but it's unfair to then simply dismiss what he achieved last season.

I agree,Eddie. He's a player of proven ability. So,let's hope he shows us what he can do,and become the Benni of old.All I'm saying is it will take more than one match to convince me that he's dropped the attitude.I've seen to many players who in past who have used Rovers as a stepping stone to bigger things.Whatever the problem was, let's just hope it's been sorted, and at least for this season he can show us what he's made of.That goes for Pedersen as well, because in his case it's a lack of confidence problem.

If they want Champions League football, then now's the time to get it together.Sixth in league, and one of the best starts to a season in a long time.I'm sad we're out of U.E.F.A Cup,but it may be a blessing in disguise.

  2. My mte's a City fan and is gutted that they missed out on Santa Cruz.

As for Benni, 20 goals in 42 games and people question that he doesn't work hard enough!!!

Well he's working hard enough to get into those positions and bang in the goals. that's good enough for me.

We have been crying out for a 20 goals a season striker for years, the first time we have one in about 10 years and people are moaning about it.

Well, lets just hope his bad attitude provides us with the 20 goals we crave.Personally I'm not interested in what he did last season,it's past, all I care about is this season, and one decent2nd half performance doesn't convince me that McCarthy as changed.

I want to see a striker who's consistent week in week out,and one who's heart's with the Rovers, and not trying to put hiself in a shop window so he can shaft us later on.

I need to trust Benni McCarthy, and at the moment there's a little part of me that's a little unsure about where is loyalties lie.

  3. Rev - he was second in the scoring charts to a 30 million quid freak in the Chelsea circus last season!

That kind of achievement comes with maximum effort and superb all round play.

Nobody has been short changed - but some people need to realise that there is only one Alan Shearer, and for the rest of our Rovers supporting lives we will have to make to with the best we can get.

19 other PL clubs would love to have been "shortchanged" by Benni last season.

We always need to realise, there'll only ever be one Simon Garner.

Shearer was good, don't get me wrong, but Garner was one of the lads.

  4. Hairway to heaven. Some fans were on his back last year, before he came good again.A small section of fans always need somebody to bully.Let's face it,the word bully is appropriate.

I was there last season, when Peders was going through a very bad patch, and some idiots behind me wouldn't shut up with their continous barracking of him.One comment in particular made me turn around and tell one of the morons who said it what a t@sser he was.The comment was while being subbed "i hope you break your leg, your waste of @}### space"

  5. So it would be ok to shout " (Please don't use that word again) off Pedersen, youve been @#/?, again"

Well,I would deem that a lot more acceptable than booing another player in a Rovers shirt, and at least it's an opinion ,and not something that sounds more at home in a childrens X-mas pantomine,or a kiddies playground.

At the end of the day,as I've already stated,it's up to the manager, and as he proved today if a player isn't pulling his weight,he's the guy who'll act,and as already stated ,I have faith in Sparkys decisions.

I would rather change my seat than sit next to a boo boy.Let's hope Peders as a rest ,and finds the form we know he is capable off producing.

  6. I totally agree.

In over 30 Years of watching Rovers i have never, ever booed a Rovers player and cannot understand the mentality of "supporters" who do.

In any trade or profession,i have never seen anybody respond positively and enthusiastically after being criticised or slated.

    Imo negativity creates negativity.

I agree, and I also think it gets to the team on the field, and makes the opposition raise their game.

They're only a small section, but sometimes they seem to make the loudest noise.Pedersen seems to lack self believe sometimes, and encouraging players when they are down is what is needed from the fans, that's why we are called supporters.I have faith in the manager, and I'm sure if players are not pulling their weight,he's the man to sort it.

What odds on MGP getting the winner at Sunderland.

  7. I agree MGP was poor yesterday and should be dropped if possible, but IMO he still put effort in so no need to boo him.

I really want to know what goes on in the mind of a boo boy,is it some backward tendency.

I mean do people really want to get all high and mighty about booing Bentley at Wembley, and then come to Ewood Park and boo one of their own players. Why the hypocrisy and double standards.People pay to have an opinion, but booing is not an opinion,it's demeaning and outright childish.

  8. That's the most sensible comment I've read here this week.

Yeah, and if Sparky shows faith in him, then Benni should repay that faith in Sparky, and do something about his lazy attitude.

Sparky was fuming last night, lets see on Sunday if Benni plays, but personally I think he deserves a kick up the backside, just to realise he's playing for Blackburn Rovers. We don't want players that think they are bigger than the club.

  9. Derbyshire may well score a few more goals next season, but he isn't in the same class as Benni and he never will be.

Its still god to know that Derbyshires there if needed,we wouldn't like to loase him to another team.Derbyshires only young, and he can only get better, plus he has that golden touch.

If Benni does jump ship then I'm happy to know that players like Derbyshire are waiting on the sidelines.

  10. Same here, hot day if I remember as well

    A

s for Derby, aggro started before the match with the police turning around a coach of Rovers fans somewhere in Derby and I think word got around

After the match Rovers fans where trying to get into the Derby end

I hope its Bolton first game, first game of season ,it will guarantee a full house.

Derby at home ,why not.........I hate Derby,I would love us to thrash them, but nothing against Mceveley, good luck to lad.

  11. what about a new teen wolf

They could upgrade him to mature wolf(20 yrs on lol.)

I'm going to see if Silver Surfer as any better reviews than Spiderman 3 lol.I thought i was the Silver Surfer .

Different genre altogether, but this Wolf Creek movie as been good,an horror film that's quite believable.

Them zone horror movies are just too stupid to take seriously.

  12. Bentley as been named in the squad, which alone is great credit to himself, but in all honestly Mclaren won't name Bentley over Beckham.Even Bentley hiself admits Beckham is a top class player and won't be disappointed because he puts the England team first.

Everybody is calling for Beckham, and the media love it,but Bentley will get his chance, and when he does ,let's hope he does us proud.

  13. It has just been confirmed - Brazil are not playing England - They are only playing David Beckham. Eleven Brazilians against one Englishman - they should win.

    The media circus strikes again.

Well done David Bentley - fully deserved. :brfc:

The thing is, the nearer Bentley gets up the international ladder, the harder it becomes for Rovers to keep hold of him.

It won't just be the prem ,but the3 foriegn leagues that'l be taking notice of his potential.

Once again, I can't see it being long before we lose another of our top stars..

It's becoming the norm at Ewood these days.

  14. You just confused me a bit. I won't tell you about the image of Cowell I get for many reasons. Let's just say its to do with his friendship with convicted paedophile Jonothan King. The other image of him is of a man having a big mid-life crisis by wearing elbow high trousers, going to the gym loads, having a girlfriend 20 years younger than him and driving some flash convertable. Hold on, he does actually do that.

Eurovision is clearly political, but then I'd rather have Croatia and Serbia pretending they're friends by giving each other 12 points than murdering each other. No-one likes the UK for a load of reasons, so no-one votes for us. That, and our songs are incredibly crap.

Well actually I'm not a great fan of Simon Cowell,or the superstar audition shows, and i didn't know any of that stuff. So many of these stars lead such double lifes.Especially the comedians like Barrymore. I agee ,I have no time for people like these, and I won't turn a blind eye, just because they're famous and celebrities.

I just read last week, that Scott Winsor from Emmerdale is up on rape charges, just like the character he played(not sure what his real name is.If he is guilty, chuck away the key.

    Eurovision again.

Thank you Ireland for 7 points, and a very big thank you to Malta for top marks..

I have to say that was the worst Eurovision I've ever watched,I realy wonder how long it is before its scrapped. The voting on Saturday was a total joke, and predictable.

Bring back Oppurtunity Knocks lol
