This was never about contracts
This is ALL on Rudy gestede, his treatment of staff and players and total arrogance.
This started in the last summer when JE invited Weimann to train at Rovers to earn a contract. Gestede hit the roof and wanted him off the training ground.
JE convinced Waggott Weimann could do a job, against Gestedes wishes. That was the beginning of the end of JE and Gestedes relationship.
The day JE left Weimann was summoned by Gestede and informed his days at Rovers were over. Weimann opted to then have a little op to ensure he could get new club in summer.
This was pure spite by Gestede as he didn't forgive JE for bringing Weimann in.
Gestede then pushed a number of employees out the door for none performance related issues . One employee due to not covering her arms at the training ground.
Ive spoken to a number of employees who have departed and some there, but to protect their identities and in some cases NDAs I wont name them
The senior players and sadly Leonard challenged Gestede for dressing down employees and being nasty and in some cases making them cry.
Leonard for his part was banished to train with the kids.
The rest for none footballing reasons and certainly not for contractual reasons (you actually need to be offered a contract to sign one) have all been dismissed this window (all members of the players council).
How anyone can defend the ciub is beyond me.
The best thing about x now is no one can see who likes your tweets. My own tweets its rather damning given the amount of players,,relatives and staff are liking what im posting. (As people know I wil never post a thing i can't prove).
No Gestede , JE would not have exited thats a fact.
These lads not being offered contracts which was RG job, is not an error. It was deliberate to drive them out the club.
I believe (my opinion) the damage hes created in one summer is more than any single person has at any time in the last 15 years.
This aint a plan of success, this is malicious and been made personal due to people refusing to accept bullying at our training ground
Many current staff are walking on egg shells in fear .
One significant departed member of staff i spoke to for 2 hours on the phone a couple of weeks ago and it was extremely alarming whats gone down at the training ground.
Strangely Suhail is barely mentioned in any if these conversations. Its always Gestede.
This aint gonna end well unless that man is removed
Players weren’t offered contracts because the club would have known the terms the players wanted through agents. Why would they put an offer in writing if they know the player would reject it?
The bigger issue is not whether players were offered formal contracts, but why we can’t compete financially with the likes of Derby or Middlesbrough, given the wealth of our owners. Jumping on whether a contract was technically offered or not is missing the point entirely.
I dont doubt there’s plenty wrong behind the scenes, but you’re desperate to whip up the fans at any opportunity to boost your ego. The conspiracy theories are tedious and distracting from the main problems.
As an aside, Hyam being sold yesterday is a farce and has undone any of the good work achieved over the summer.

Why does booing the opposition during a match need to be taken as fans not caring about the mess behind the scenes?
FWIW, Eustace abandoned us mid season for relegation candidates. He’s a good manager and did well but he could have at least seen the season out. Doesn’t need to get personal, but for 90 mins, I hope we get right into him/them.
If fans can’t taunt opponents because abuse should only ever be aimed at the owners, what’s the point of going every week? Is booing Burnley allowed?

I’m content that we’ve rolled the dice this summer considering the contract situations.
When replacing Dolan, Travis, Brittain etc, presumably we faced either going for cheap, experienced championship players with very limited potential for improvement (Forshaw, Sanderson etc) or get creative and tap into foreign markets for unproven gems.
No issue with going for the latter approach but the overhaul has been extreme. If we come good this season, it’s likely to be later in the year and how quickly these players settle will dictate if we survive (or better).

Yep putting fake rumors out their to pull the “least we tried” stuff, doubt the other striker from gent is true either
We’ve signed 8 players this window, it’s clear we’re being active in the market. It’s the one summer you cant say the club haven’t made efforts to bring players in.
Why would they bother to put a fake rumour out there that we’re trying to sign (checks Twitter) ‘Milan Smit’?
Far more likely it’s agents putting names in shop windows.

The Leonard story is odd. Elliott doesn't usually publish a story like that unless he's spoken to someone at the club first and they've confirmed it
Baradji could well be this seasons Dennis, signing a player with a known injury just doesn't seem to all that clever but I hope I'm proved wrong and he makes a good impact. It’s why he’s a loan with a view. Think it will be a bonus if he comes good in the next few months.

Nailing my own colours to the mast, I think Eustace's obvious man management and preparation skills would have had us in the play offs, had he only been backed.
I think Rudy, Suhail et al wanted him out because he wasn't "aligned".
Now doesn't that word do a lot of heavy lifting?!!!
Eustace wasn’t sacked, he decided to leave. Clearly he saw the writing on the wall over the summer regarding contracts expiring etc and recruitment going in a different direction.
BTW, I noticed Batth, Sanderson, Nyambe and Weimann all started for Derby at the weekend. If that was us, I’d be fuming.

He came for a fight and to be as obstructive as possible.
He shot so many questions down with "you'll have to ask them"
He didn't speak to us as fans or customers. He treated us like we were his subjects, he treated us like he had the right to be disrespectful and the right to talk to us in a way which made us look stupid or uncomfortable amongst our peers.
We didn't shout, we didn't rise to the bait and we remained professional.
What I will say at the end , I shook everyone's hands including his and all shook hands back.
The issue is within the function and their ability to do the job. I dont know these people personally so try and avoid making it personal
Remaining professional doesn’t include ridiculing club representatives on social media, releasing versions of the minutes without the club’s consent and generally using the episode to boost your own standing with the fans.
How is that helping? The FF is one of (the only?) portal of communication we have with the club. Is any of this going to improve fan-club relations?
The club (SS in particular) don’t come out of the minutes well and that’s on them, but you have a responsibility on behalf of the fans to ask the difficult questions, not burn the thing to the ground.
Demanding that the club apologise for how the Venky’s have run the club for example - what did you honestly expect club employees to say? It looks like cheap point scoring.

Will just be Alan reading out a list of players out of contract next year.

The minutes didn’t reflect what was said. The minutes were amended. All the FF agreed these were accurate. The club refuse approve them.
What is the conspiracy you are saying is being alleged?
Do you believe every member of the FF is colluding and lying about what was said to make the club look bad?
I’m not sure I understand what you think is happening here.
Conspiracies in regards to almost every post on the previous page.
I wasn’t there so have no idea what was said. But this all seems over dramatic for a set of minutes. I mean, Glen’s going on a podcast about it..
-
This all seems very tedious. We’ve heard before that the club have generally been open with conversations during the FF and minutes were rarely disputed.
Issuing public statements and alleging conspiracies over a set of minutes seems disproportionate and counter productive. We want to have more communication from the club but this will hardly help.

IMO, it's just to hide the true cost so the club through the media can then over-egg and over-hype the transfer fees so the gullible in our fan base think we are really splashing the cash.
It happens at every club..

They get offers but want better deals.
Unproven Scandinavians probably aren’t as demanding.

Eustace needs a restraining order. Got his hands all over us.
Will need to start nailing cutlery to the tables at this rate.-

0-1 to the referee 0-1 to the referee, the Blackburn End got it spot on, what a wanker of a referee. The free kick given outside the box was 6 inch inside the box when he was brought down.
When it comes to the referee, of the two sides, we have less to complain about than Norwich. Hyam should have gone in the first half and Dennis could easily have gone for his first yellow. The second yellow was soft but one way or another, I don’t think we could complain about being down to 10 by the end.

We looked average throughout and should have been down to 9. Norwich won’t make the play offs and we didn’t lay a glove on them.
Hand us 15th place now and call the season off.
-
The more I’ve thought about this the more I feel that no one is coming out of this well, Eustace included.
The club is being run into the ground and the lack of investment in the playing squad is criminal.
However, Eustace should have known what he was walking into and forcing a move now isn’t a good look.
I’d be delighted as a Derby fan that he’s coming but they should be mindful that Eustace now has form for jumping ship as soon as the sh*t hits the fan.
Ultimately we will never know the full story and I’m firmly placing the overall blame on the owners but to a lesser degree, Eustace has also let us down.

be highly surprised if Eustace left. Derby may be a bigger club attendance wise etc… Square is weaker they are in a tough predicament. Eustace has done a wonderful job gras isn’t always greener
He’s gone. Derby wouldn’t be making a formal approach without encouragement from Eustace’s side. Eustace also made no effort to shut down the rumours after that game.
The only thing I’m glad about is that this makes it completely clear to the outside world we are a clown car of a football club.

Seen it all before. Ineffective. Tepid. Impotent. Barely laid a glove on them all game. Gueye did what he could but Hedges and Dolan just aren’t enough of a threat. Cantwell didn’t touch the ball.
Sooner we drop out of the play offs the better. Rather it happen now than delude ourselves into thinking we’re anywhere close to good enough to stay in them.

Armstrong is undoubtedly a good signing for WBA although he tended to only score for us in games against weaker opposition and looked good in a strong Southampton side. I wouldn’t be surprised if he did ok at WBA but might not meet expectations.

I’m actually stunned. £40m+ brought in over the last few windows.
These 3 will play max 15 games each (Dennis hasn’t played for 1 year!) and people are calling Rudy some sort of messiah. The club is a disgrace - they’ve already cost us points in January by only bringing in League 1 level players in Foreshaw and Sanderson.
We will fall away as always, barring a miracle from Eustace. We have been let down by Venkys, Pasha, Waggott and Gestede.
Who is calling Rudy a messiah? Also, regardless of your feelings on the window, how are you bracketing him with Venky’s and Waggott?
-
Better than it looked like being 12 hours ago. But that shouldn’t be the yardstick.
Overall, underwhelmed. We’re better off than we were at the start of the window but compared to those around us and considering the money we’ve banked in the last year, it still feels like a missed opportunity.
Pleased with Dennis and the LB sounds like a good buy. Replace Danns for Woodrow and Cissokho for Kargbo and I’d have felt more positively.

Don’t know why people are concerned. I can’t wait for the third instalment of ‘deadline day fiasco’. They excelled themselves last year so excited to see what they might bring to the table this time round. No inside info but had a few thoughts:
- Club unveil a striker only to later realise it’s an egg and cress sandwich with a smiley face drawn on.
- Waggott personally attempts to submit the player registration forms off but ends up accidentally uploading several scanned photocopies of his arse to the club’s Twitter feed.
- After being sent out to re-stock Steve’s pork pie mini-fridge, Rudy inexplicably sells Callum Brittain to a local newsagent. Venky’s are impressed by the level of incompetence. Suhail fears for his job.
Genuinely looking forward to it. Got a day off work to binge read the online reaction afterwards.

We've signed a player on loan from a team in the division below us and an OAP free transfer from Plymouth Fucking Argyle.
And that's before you even consider our injury-ravaged first team squad.
This is absolutely ludicrous. We are being run by amateurs at every level above the Head Coach.
Window closes on Monday 3rd Feb, not the 31st Jan. There’s still plenty of time to look busy and deliver nothing.

That’s why we’re going down. No game management.
Good teams win when playing badly.
Bad ones don’t when they play well.
