  1. Recent films: Men who stare at goats - worth a watch. Nothing particularly special but its entertaining. Kevin Spacey probaby the pick of a high profile cast. Ewan McGregor's accent was shocking. Wanted to like it a lot more, but it wasnt too bad. Zombieland - Reasonable, but just had the feeling that id seen it all before. Not a touch on Shaun of the dead. Amusing in places without really being hilarious Recently watched on DVD: Public Enemies - Really enjoyed it. Not for everyone but thought it kept the interest for the whole film. 21 - Rubbish In the Loop - Great film. Still funny 3/4th time viewing. No country for old men - Watched again for the first time since release and it was much better the second time of watching. Fully recommended.
  2. Wolves are poor opposition - but the formation worked Burnley was about attitude - plus the formation allowed us to win Played well in parts against Villa - well again, the formation didnt hinder us West Ham - could have been our 'attitude' and not the formation. Away form - Man Utd/Chelsea/Arsenal away from home in one month. Also explains the goal ratio. 451 can work. My objections to it are that it relies to heavily on Dunn playing a blinder. 442 will allow us to play poorly and win. that is its huge advantage. We know Benni can work very well with Roberts up front and id like to see Sam start with that next time out.
  3. id be embaressed as a Rovers fan if anyone booed McCarthy. Im guessing it was more for the decision to take Roberts off and not for simply McCarthy. thats what i hope. He is a very skillfull player and i would still easily class him above Roberts in almost every department except when it comes to workrate. Roberts will never score 20 in a season. McCarthy has. That is all i really care about to be honest. Although this season Roberts really has upped his game to be fair. Deserves to be starting. i wouldnt sell McCarthy for anything less than £10m atm. Proven prem goalscorers do not grow on trees. Our strikeforce is arguably the most potent outside the top 4 if not including Arsenal. Each striker brings something different. McCarthy, on form is a matchwinner.
  4. at old trafford Bellamy did play. Bellamy was a good player and he would have scored many more had he not been injured so much...however the potential disruption he could potentially cause in the dressing room was a risk which hughes took and is now occuring at Anfield. Benni is a different player. he's more skillfull and more clinical. Bellers would only have to touch the ball and the opposition were immediately petrified, but he doesnt have that flamboyance which benni posseses. if we had kept bellers and bought McCarthy then in my eyes we would have had the best strike partnership in the prem.
