  1. Zidanes penalty went in to the side netting, no keeper would of saved it.
  2. If they'd stayed on the main stage i'd of watched Slayer, but as i've seen them live a couple of times now and not seen Korn before I decided to stay and watch korn.
  3. I didn't see Slayer, they moved them round a coule of times cause some of their crew were late getting there, they ended up clashing with Korn, so I chose them I didn't see Cradle either, not one of my fav bands, went to the skater bowl and watched them for a while, got a nice place in the sun and relaxed. Not sure what happened to Lars, just that he was in hospital.
  4. Just got back from download festival, a great weekend. Saw Iggy and the Stooges on Saturday, as well as Sum 41 (who are great live) and Linkin Park (same as S41). The best band on the day were The Hives, bang on form, very very entertaining. Sunday however was the main day, opened up with Rick Warwick, the lead singer of Almighty, who should of been given longer, then to the main stage to see a bit of Soulfly. Hooberstank came next, who put on a good show, followed by a couple of songs by Drowning Pool, whose new singer has a great stage prescence. I then camped out on the main stage, Machine Head were the next band on, followed by slipknot, both really good. Next were the two bands I had come to see, Korn first were superb, playing a good selection from their albums. The last band on were Metallica, on 2 hours late due to Lars being in hospital, they were joined on drums firstly by Dave Lombardo of Slayer for Battery and The Four Horsemen. The 3 band members were then joined by slipknot drummer Joey Jordison for all but 1 of the rest of the set ( Fade to Black performed by Ulrich's drum tech Flemming Larsen ) . They were fantastic well worth the wait and the rain. I don't think anything comes close to Nothing Else Matters live.
  5. I'm seeing Trapt next weekend at the download festival, might have to get the album before i do, liked what i've heard so far. Oh yea, Pearl jam rock!
  6. About to go buy the new Nick Cave dvd, all the videos he's released, only £8, great deal.
  7. Purchased the new Incubus and Lost prophets albums, both of them are really good.
  8. Eh? The members of Ash weren't even born in 1977. Not thinking of Wishbone Ash perchance? That's the name of their 1st major album Colin, named after the year Star Wars was released, the 1st sound you hear on the album is a tie fighter.
  9. Now that would be something! Get them down KGH!! Currently listening to popular rock group Ash. Their Intergalactic Sonic 7's CD. Picked it up for £6.99 from HMV. You could do a lot worse you know. Ash are great, been a fan since 1977, will have to get a new copy of Intergaltic Sonic 7's though, mine had some wierd liquid poured on it, never played the same again.
  10. Tis indeeed quality CR. By all accounts if you play the DVD on Windows Media Player you will find a couple of hidden tracks one of which is Hunger Strike. Must admit I haven't tried it myself yet. Not to obscure, eh Tucker? :'> I'm hoping that Alive is hidden somewhere. Plus, there's nothing wrong with a 2 page discussion on one of the best bands in the world.
  11. Not exactly a cd, but still fantastic, I got the new Pearl Jam DVD today, Live In The Garden, oh how great it is, every fan should own this. It's taking me a bit to get used to Eddie with short hair though, doesn't look right.
  12. Not sure what albums i'm looking forward to this year, I only know of a couple of albums that are out, i'll just see what comes along Incubus have a new album out in the next couple of months, really looking forward to that, as well as Hundered Reasons. Should be going to Glastonbury and Download festivals this year, if I can afford both, if not I think it'll be Glastonbury.
  13. Which one have you got CR? Happenstance (sp) or another one? My kind of thing? I've got happenstance, went into local independant music shop yesterday and was told there was no 2nd album, but i'm sure there are 2. As for you liking it, i'd say yes.
  14. It's a great album, i've been listening to it at work today, i'm going to see if I can get their other album tommorrow.
  15. ...ahem ahem For research purposes, then you'll go and buy the album.
  16. I've heard that they are very Maiden (etc) influenced. He plays bass as well doesn't he? It is very maidenish, i've got it on again now, it gets better with every listen. I reccomend it very highly, download a couple of tracks, I reckon you'll like them. Not sure if he plays bass as well, doesnt say in the album notes that he does.
  17. I got an album in the sales today by a band called Fozzy, an american rock band, fronted by WWE wrestler Chris Jericho, it's a damn good album, if you can pick it up i'd reccomend you do so.
  18. I was told by Bellamy11 and T4E that they said beacuse they write their own songs, they are a rock band. What a load of crap, they're pop #### and the sooner they disappear the better. If they are a rock band then let them play the Leeds festival or next years Download festival, if they are really serious then let them appear at the Bulldog Bash. It will be worth going just to chuck bottles of p1ss at them. It'd be daphene and celeste all over again. Heaven knows what idiot thought they'd be a good addition to the Reading and Leeds bill.
  19. I was told by Bellamy11 and T4E that they said beacuse they write their own songs, they are a rock band. What a load of crap, they're pop #### and the sooner they disappear the better.
  20. You'll have to speak to Bellamy11 about that one.
  21. I've mostly had on my cd player this month: Pearl Jam - Lost Dogs Incubus - S.C.I.E.N.C.E Incubus - Morning View Jewel - 0304 Therapy? - High Anxiety
  22. Graeme Souness has named a 19 man squad for the premiership game on Sunday away to Leicester City. Captain Garry Flitcroft and defender Andy Todd both return after missing Wednesdays defeat in the Carling Cup, Flitcroft recovering from a back injury and Todd available after being cup tied. One notable absense is young striker Paul Gallagher, the fans favourite has been receiving good reviews from all quarters for his recent displays and has started to become a permanent fixture on the subs bench. Rovers Squad: Friedel, Yelldell, Neill, Gresko, Taylor Martin, Johansson, Todd, Babble, Reid, Flitcroft, Tugay, Ferguson, Thompson, Emerton, Baggio, Cole, Yorke, Jansen, Grabbi
  23. An experienced Rovers reserve side was held to a 1-1 draw with an Everton team containing a lot of youngsters. Blackburn went ahead in the 2nd minute through Matt Jansen. Out of sorts striker Cicco Grabbi had a golden chance to make the score 2-0 but saw the keeper save his penalty with his legs after Gallagher had been brought down in the box. Everton scored their equaliser from a penalty of their own in the 36th minute. Johansson broughtdown striker Osman in the box and the young striker dusted himself off to put the spot kick past Yelldell. The second half produced chances for both teams but neither keeper were in the mood to be beaten again. Blackburn Team Yelldell, Peers, McEveley, Donnelly, Taylor (Michael), Johansson, Watt, Gallagher, Grabbi (Johnson 46), Baggio (Harkins 68), Jansen (Nelson 68) Subs not used: Renton, Barker Attendance: 411
  24. Blackburn went out of the Carling Cup after ref Mike Riley made Rovers play the second half with ten men after Lucas Neill had been sent off just before half time. Blackburn took the lead after 34 minutes when a returning Dwight Yorke headed hope a David Thompson cross into the bottom left corner. The game turned oh its head 6 minutes later when young french striker Pongolle had his heel clipped lightly by Neill, which gave Riley no other choice and Neill was on his way back to the dressing room, his 3rd sending off in 5 matches this season. Danny Murphy scored from the penalty spot, giving Friedel no chance. Liverpool made the most of their one man advantage in the second half and punished some slack defending by Taylor when Heskey guided a cross from Diouf into the bottom left corner on 49 mins, after the Liverpool winger had done well on the right. The same combination produced Liverpools third goal on 61 mins after Diouf turned Reid inside out and Heskey pounced from 3 yards out for the simple nod in. Brad Friedel came to Blackburns rescue in the 75th minute after Gresko had pulled Kewell back in the area, Heskey on a hat-trick placed a weak right footed shot to Freidels left and the big American parryed it out and saved Heskeys follow up shot. Liverpool Made it four 4 minutes later when Diouf made it a hat-trick of assists as he set Kewell up for a 6 yard tap in with the Rovers defence stretched. Barry Ferguson scored his maiden goal for Rovers 2 minutes later after probably the best piece of play in the game, some slick passing between Tugay, Cole and Yorke released Ferguson in the area who after one touch had taken him clear of the defenders placed his shot past the oncoming goalkeeper Kirkland. Blackburn gave the fans one last thing to cheer when Yorke scored his second of the night after substitute Gallagher had pulled the ball back in the six yard box. Teams: Blackburn Rovers Friedel, Neill (s/o 40), Babble, Taylor, Gresko (Johansson 84), Thompson (Emerton 59), Ferguson, Tugay, Reid (Gallagher 82) , Cole, Yorke Subs not used: Jansen, Yeddell Liverpool Kirkland, Biscan, Henchoz, Hyppia (Risse 45), Traore, Le Tallec, Gerrad (Hamann 82), Murphy, Diouf, Heskey, Sinama Pongolle (Kewell 45) Subs not used: Finnan, Dudek Attendance:16,918
  25. time is one thing that we don't have It's not like there's over half the season left is it. Give him until christmas at least, look what happened to Sunderland this time last season when they sacked Peter Reid and couldn't find anyone better to replace him with. rover6, please don't mention Paul Sturrock again, he's done an ok job with Plymouth, but he's not a Premiership manager.
