  1. Hyam and Brittain are not up for a relegation battle...seem I remember the Barnsley fans saying the same about Callum...absolutely no will to win the ball by either of them and Dom seemed to lose every aerial duel without making contact. I though Walton was the worst GK in the last 20 years but Leo needs to be shipped out...take the financial loss but get him off the books....only one who gets any credit is Garrett who ran all day long

McManaman would jump out of the way of a passing butterfly, so I wouldn't pay much attention to him

A "genuine psychopath" isn't a hard man, he's a psychopath. Salgado never struck me as a "hard man" during his time at Rovers.

This is all subjective and makes for an interesting discussion but no one's defined what a hard man is yet

The definition to me is someone who genuinely scares the opposition into changing the the way they normally play...Roy Keane being a prime example

    I agree

Why call it the Champions League then in the first place ?

It's all money and not about smaller leagues who win their own domestic league but they have very little chance of facing Barcelona or Man City cos they don't generate the money for UEFA and its made difficult for them to reach group stages then a team that finishes 3rd in PL or La Liga. Its should be teams that win their league in the champions league only

Roy Keane was leader on the pitch. He was defensive midfielder who scored a few goals a season. He was never midfield playmaker

Having watched him for many years..Roy Keane's first touch and successful pass  after winning a tackle in the opponents half qualifies him as being a playmaker..he had a true gift of not only winning tackles but winning the ball at the same time  which caught many teams on the counter attack .

  4. The issue is not whether Wharton was "ready"..the issue is whether Morton deserved his place over him..all the while we are developing him for Liverpool...pure madness and if there was a clause involved it should be told to us so it makes sense and absolves JDT for a terrible decision...

I think he's managed him wisely.

He's only 18 - yes he's a superb talent, but he needs to be nurtured (and evidently his attitude has needed to be corrected). He'll be a better player for this - I just hope it's with us.

And if he's not with us it's a wasted season..both in potential points lost and potential value due to not playing...he's shown more  in 90 minutes than Morton has all season..

Speed of thought is just as important as the ability to run fast. Bobby Moore and Gerd Muller couldn't run to save their lives but they were always one step ahead of the others because they read the game so well.

Dolan doesn't offer much except running around alot, harrassing defenders and making a nuisance of himself. He won't be able to play like that when he gets a bit older because his legs won't do it.

Paul Dickov made a career of it
