  1. Right - Im sure im having knee jerk reaction to the fact that we have lost the last 2 games back to back 4-0 with two players scoring a hattrick. That we have no spirit, no fight, no skill, no pace, no invention, just a shakey defence and a toothless attack.

Im sure most people would blame Souness and yes it his partially his fault.

    BUT

I have never seen a team under souness not try to fight and get an equaliser. Team selections under GS where sometimes strange (oh well quite a lot of the time) but playing Djorkiev and Dickov up front is wrong in my opinion, we need Dickov and a young fast striker (Stead, Gally or Bothroyd) running round. Hughes has had long enough to look at the players and make his mind up, so if Matteo is not up to it (which he blatently isnt - yup thats me and humble pie for lunch) change it - put Nissa back in, put Todd in, play Neill there, play McEveley there but for GOD SAKE MARK CHANGE IT.

So at the moment we are 2nd from bottom with a goal difference of -15 showing none of the characteristics that would prevent us going down. We need a leader as a manager and at the moment we do not have it. He wasnt that good for Wales and he doesnt seem to be that good for Rovers, I knew we should have gone for Strachen.

Prove me wrong Sparky but I doubt you will.

We are going down - If I am wrong thank the lord and feel free to bring this back to the top. But I cant see anything changing in the near future. Can you? And just blaming Souness is not/can not be the answer or teh reason that we are playing worse now than we did before he went.

Oh well I shall now curl up in the fetal position and prepare for the kicking.

when does the asylum want you back

  2. I would have thought being able to tolerate groups whose songs all sound the same, would be a must for all Greenday fans.

I take it their still yet to find the fourth chord.

  3. Hope of The States album is good.

    Razorlight one Ok

A Grand don't come for free is very good.

Heard parts of the new Libertines album, very good especially 'Music when the lights go out', 'Last post on the bugle', 'The man who would be king' and 'whatever happened to the likely lads'.

  4. Does anyone else think that Jet's "Will you be my Woman" is one of the finest singles for many, many years? seems to me that's how rock music was and should be.

I think it's great, I bought the album off the back of that song and it's...well, utter rubbish. Great song though.

    It's not that bad.

Granted there is some filler, but there are several quality songs on it.

  5. At the end of the day it's just a list.

We could do one now and it would carry just as much credibility.

The problem with such lists is that bands are limited to only one album, bands like The Beatles and The Stones have albums that would ###### all over several of the other albums on that list.

For instance in numerous lists (or whatever) amongst Stones fans (on the website etc) have voted Beggars Banquet(number 7 in this list) as the Stones 5th best album, yet it is the one that appears in this list.

  6. Using some peoples logic we will be without a team next year, thats if we start to get rid of the players who have been inconsistent.

Tugay has been fantastic in the last quarter of the season, for me it is no coincidence that is good form coincided with him playing alonside Andreson, who was disciplined and held his position allowing Tugay more Freedom, his work rate was also phenomenal.

His form alongside Andreson suggests he will play well alongside the also disciplined yet infinitly better Ferguson, and while Tugay won't be able to play week in week out he will still be a good asset to have about the place, not only as a player but a fans favourite and from what I gather a popular member of the dressing room.

  7. Looking forward to the new Libertines album over the summer and the inevitable tour/secret gig/busk in a car park, that will follow, it really looks like it could take of with them.

Looking fowrad to earning pennies this summer to complete my Stones collection, even it does mean buying the eighties albums.

May make it to some festivals, waiting for confirmation on my free ticket to Glastonbury and am thinking of making a trip to Leeds for the day with Franz Ferdinand (growing on me) The Libertines-Morrissey and The White Stripes.

  8. Poor Alan Smith.  Now he can throw a bottle or two into the stands for a different team.  He's a spoiled player with hardly any professionalism in him.  The fact that he cried at full time at the game doesn't touch any heart strings with me. I feel more for Wolves and Leicester going down than for Leeds.

But that being said, Let the rape and pillage of the Leeds squad begin!

    A typical newbie comment.

    The irony.

  9. Well i didn't ecpect my comment to be taken that literally.

It's just that I'm fed up of hearing people say how sad it is to see Leeds go down, what about the other teams who have been relegated, York City Carlisle etc etc.

Players like Smith will still be in the premier league next year with huge paypackets, and the fans have had champions league semi finals etc etc to enjoy over recent years which is alot more than most football fans.

  10. I just hope for Atkinsons sake the masses don't take the moral high ground-holier than tou attitude, and start slating him.

The guys made a big mistake, I'm sure he knows that more than anyone and obviously regrets it big time, but some of the stuff I have read, admittedly in the tabloids, regarding Atkinson is ridiculous.

One outburst dosen't make him a racist, and I just hope that this incident dosn't give redundant scribes the chance to tarnish football with the racist brush again, lets face it slagging football has been flavour of the year for many 'journalists'.

  11. I recently purchased several Bob Dylan albums.

I really like the album 'The Times They Are A-Changing' particulary 'Boots of Spanish Leather' and 'The Lonesome Death of Hattie Carrol'.

They are obviously all fantastic of course.

  12. Franz Ferdinand really get to me - in the bad way. What is it with Scotish bands and being guff? sad.gif Idlewild being a happy exception.

Didn't really like the Franz Ferdinand album myself either.
