Talksport just reported on Vincent Janssen potentially going to a north west club

I would imagine Tottenham will pay half. I'm not sure what went wrong with the Schalke deal. Just something I have heard.

Surely out of our league. Google says Schalke were interested.
Schalke can't afford the deal

Fond regards from tenerife, too hot in the shade!! No Rothwell again!! Anyway, come on you blues, make my trip even better with a win.
See you soon

Mowbray is going for a smash and grab here. He would definitely take a point. Really hard working midfield. Keep it 0-0 for 60 minutes, then bring on Armstrong, Rothwell, Brereton. That's his plan

*didn't realise you posed that comment on the 12th August? Are you still in the same mindset of it being a failure?

I think it's been a failure.
On the plus side, the squad has been kept together with no sales - that has to be a good thing, and I was worried about Dack setting his sights higher. We did also get a few permanents in, so at least some activity happened.
On the minus side, Mowbray only got 60% of his original target in (3 out of 5 players, excluding loans), so the target was missed in that regard. I think we were all hoping for more, too, but I reckon you have to sometimes pay over the odds to get who you want. There are so many other teams that will pip us to signings in that regard, and we can't continue being tight-arses. I'm sure at some point we'll get more than repaid with a Dack fee (oh, and I think the lack of signings may turn Dack's head in January rather than next summer).
Do you really believe this window has been a failure? Madness if so, I think the majority of people on this forum would disagree with you.

Lincoln board...
"Of course, Blackburn are Championship promotion contenders and remain unbeaten this season"
"While Blackburn made 6 changes themselves, it was still clearly a strong Championship line up"
Can you imagine what they would think if we had had Armstrong, Dack playing?!?!?
They cannot truly believe that Caddis would get into any Championship side?

F**king Caddis

This must be the big, strong defender Mowbray wanted to bring in. Funny how Bauer will be a free agent at about the same time Rodwells contact comes to an end. If Bauer had been available now, I don't think Tony would of brought Rodwell in.
Let's see how he does

Looks like Bolton fans are seeing the real JL now...
" Lowe has the first touch of a conference player and seems unable to pass forwards."

Wish Tony would stop putting time frames on our signings. He just makes a rod for his own back.

Needlessly insulting and therefore not worthy of a response.
He's not wrong though. You seem to have put yourself on a pedestal.

Yeah. Momentum is overrated.
Let’s put that forward line that got 5 last time out (and could have had more) back in its box and go for a 1-0-and-shut-up-shop approach which has resulted in two draws.
He’d better get that 1-0 then because he is opening himself up for criticism if he changes a winning team and then doesn’t.
You do realise that Hull are a far better team than Carlise? If we set up with the same players that played against Carlise, we would concede a lot, didn't Carlise have 18 shots?

Bereton will be loan to buy with fee already agreed. Wouldn't make sense otherwise.

Still only four completed permanent signings in the whole of English football today according to the BBC.
Loan to buy will be used heavily I suspect. Would still like a cheeky little signing today though

Can't say I'd be impressed with this Freeman at £4 mil. Sounds like a D list player that we are over paying for. Can he tackle? Pace? Or just more competition for Dack's role?
12 assists last season for a struggling QPR team Is not to be grumbled at.
