Just on McFadz, effective but limited guys aren't a problem if they're cheap and aren't relied upon exclusively. We won't want to set up with 5 at the back every week, but there'll games like Leicester/Leeds away where we'd be mad not to. I'd keep him around another year, especially given his experience and attitude. Nothing wrong with having a hard arse around a squad like ours.

I would offer him another 12 months but also invite him onto the coaching staff , while his legs may have gone his brain hasn’t and it’s clear he has the respect of players and fans

  2. Rotherham keeper is a no brainier for me though I think a lot of championship clubs will be thinking the same we need an overhaul of the front 3/4  JCH kenar Roofe, Stansfield Jerry Yates  even Langstaffe  at Notts County i would consider for the cant Rak striker role  Dembele from Brum  Sorba Thomas  O’Dowda from Coventry is out of contract any permutation of those I think  would improve us  I’d even try and get Alan Browne from Nobbers who is also out of contract and if Leeds go up I’d try for Liam Cooper and Burrows from Peterborough for left back if they don’t go up

Don't think Newcastle are realistic bidders given their own FFP troubles. They need to sell key players themselves so I doubt they will be spending £20M on a teenager

Could they do a buy now pay later deal ? Agree £25m let us keep him rest of seasaon and they pau July 1st or something

  4. Shame Brighton aren’t in for him they have a great track record of bringing players on and selling them for massive fees , if you are going to include a sell on clause Brighton is the club to do it with . £15m does seem pretty low if we squeezed a few mor £m out of them and  a  good sell on clause and Say Rak Sakyi on loan with them covering all his wages I think I’d accept it

Hes 35 but presumably is being signed to come on at 60-70 mins and give us an outlet up front that can time a header and control a ball

The optimist says he'd be on less than Gally and we may be able to use some money on the wage bill for another signing - but that's wildly optimsiticb

And defend set pieces which none of our defenders seem capable of doing right now

  6. This has all the signs of a manager losing the players , whether it be his treatment of Travis , his stubbornness in style of play or whether rumours of him applying for other jobs has filtered into players minds but something broken between JDT and some senior players , the players who are coming in for most of the criticism are much better than what they have shown in the last 8-10 games … are they playing to get him the sack 🤔

That's why they've done it, he doesn't look happy lately though there's a lot of gesturing towards his team mates.

Birmingham have bid, which as I say isn't particularly a good career move but maybe financial, not sure.

West Brom too .. bid not come in yet but they are seriously interested and just waiting to see what  numbers are involved
