That's why they've done it, he doesn't look happy lately though there's a lot of gesturing towards his team mates.
Birmingham have bid, which as I say isn't particularly a good career move but maybe financial, not sure.
West Brom too .. bid not come in yet but they are seriously interested and just waiting to see what numbers are involved
-
Not a surprise clubs are looking at SS with his goals this season , I just hope we get good money for him and a large chunk gets reinvested in the 2 or 3 positions we desperately need
-
Travis isn’t shit , the manager just believes a midfield Duo of Tronstad and Wharton is better at this moment in time putting Travis in there may free Wharton up to be more creative , a tactic I thought he may have used recently given our lack of numbers/quality in attacking areas but he’d rather put square pegs in round holes than play our club captain in his true position.. for me that’s a sign that JDT doesn’t want him a round anymore and if a bid comes in even a loan , JDT will agree to it
-
Travis will be off for whatever reason it appears JDT wants him gone he’s. Club captain rarely starts these days and when he did at the start of the season he got regularly subbed recently he has been played out of position .. right back at Sheffield while our right back played left midfield and left black last home game when for me Left footed Jake Garret should have played there , all these things add up to a breakdown in the relationship and it wouldn’t surprise me if other players see it as JDT being disrespectful are being affected by it

Will he stay with Crewe for rest of season

Shankland scores a lot of goals for Hearts , 28 years old don’t know his contract status but could be an option
Edit .. just seen he’s been linked with a £5m to Rangers … cross ❌ that one off then

Jordan Rhodes scores again ok it was a penalty but that’s 10 in 14 , you have to wonder in a team like ours that creates so many chances could he be the striker we are crying out for

As a man approaching my 50’s I think the time has come for me not to wear replica kits any more I don’t know about you but I find the slim fit designs don’t compliment my beer and kebab lifestyle
I just wanted to know if anybody had bought the Rovers Polo shirts as I quite like the look of those and at £25-£35 represent better value for money , and if they thought the sizing was more accurate ? I generally wear XXL polo shirts (told you i like Beer n Kebabs) or do you have to upsize like the replica kits

I’d take Steve Gerrard I am sure he wouldn’t consider his time at Villa as a success he will be dying to get back in a job and prove a few people wrong . I’ve also been impressed with the lad at Ipswich will be a few interested clubs seeing how he gets on in the championship this year . Ryan Mason is another one I would consider , he’s not going to get the Spurs job and reports are he’s desperate to get a management job
-
I can see this rumbling on and we will cave in and give them another 1000 tickets or something and agree to a Guard of Honour … if the latter happens I think we should all do a “Poznan” and turn our backs on it

In no particular order:
1 hiring king rat and not sacking him
2 employing Jerome Anderson
3 signing above son
4 driving out Williams, Finn and Goodman
5 hiring shelf boy
6 promoting Agnew beyond his abilities of programme dogs body
7 hiring swag
8 trying to turn the academy into housing
9 the chicken advert
10 running down the contract of a player of value
11 not strengthening jan 2022
12 amassing £250 million debt
13 forgetting to sign a players contract
14 sacking fat Sam
15 allowing the stadium to become almost derelict
16 Ronaldinho bullshit
17 hiring hunt
Just off the top of my head and a couple of mins typing. I bet there’s 50 stupid things.

Surely Chelsea have a striker or 6 they don’t need

With O’Brien and Thomas in , and Dacks return to form maybe we will adopt a 4231 formation with Gally as a central striker
-
I honestly think if we were win for a striker a name would be out there by now

I’d take Joao at the 13th hour on deadline day.
Right now he’s better than Hirst and Vale , but if our budget is small it has to used wisely for me it should be spent on players to improve our first 11 and for that reason if he’s not better than Gally I would pass

From what I’ve been told it’s Blackpool in for Colby Bishop not us possible Jerry Yates replacement

I live in CLM, used to live in Darwen. Love both places, and easy links to other amazing places.
The views around here are second to none. Only thing we're missing is the weather.
Grew up in CLM , lost my virginity on Wilson’s .. great place

Interesting. Just to be clear, Brentford plan on selling him with 12 months left on his contract, giving them funds to sign a replacement, rather than letting him run his deal down and leave on a free?!
What ??? That’s just plain Bonkers … 🙄

Hehe😄 I saw some of my fellow norwegians mentioned Jens Petter Hauge as a possible target. His loan from Frankfurt to Gent is set to be terminated. Would be a great addition here. But I see today that he is linked to Schalke 04.
This suggestion is mainly based on the Broughton connection to Bodø/Glimt and nothing else.
But he seems to be off to Groningen now...
Close control an ability to run with the ball is very much Like Rothwell but with end product
-
What about Jonny Howson ? Experienced at this level bit of a battler chips in with the odd goal and into final 6 months of contract so should be relatively cheap (not sure what kind of wages he would command)

Might be irrelevant but saw on twitter Coventry had bud £1m for Cantwell .. didn’t say bid was accepted but Cantwell keen on move
-
Well that was about as poor a performance I’ve seen in a long while , possession stats don’t hide the fact that we have just been stuffed 4-0 by Rotherham, we need new blood yes but we also need a new mentality a new style of play and a will not to get beat there’s something seriously wrong with a bunch of players and coaches if we have never recovered a single point after conceding first
That *was* the January Window
