Which was in turn itself battered in the sales figures by the 2009 shirt_20200905_235409.JPG.648ae2141e0b202954608a625b9cd869.JPG

    Ugh, really? ?

I never got the love for that one or the logic behind it.

"Okay, Blackburn's home colours are blue, white and red... So, for the away strip, we'll go..."

I wish we'd have halved away kits every year, just with rotated colours. So few teams in world football have a style of kit as uniquely identifiable as ours - we should make as much of it as possible.

Don't these companies pour money into marketing divisions?

I know BRFCS is a small sample size but there's always a clamour for the red & black halved jersey, and I bet there's plenty of fans outside here who'd lap it up.

Seems the club are missing a trick.

There is irony in slagging off Kipre for going to West Brom for money (based on a fictitious theory that he has gone to warm the bench) and slag off Mulgrew for sitting on a decent contract yet endorse us signing a keeper who knows that he has not come to play. Plenty of which has been seen, not specifically you, at Rovers fans in general.

Surely no one's seriously slagging off Kipre?

Yeah, I get the bias but Kipre has no allegiance to us. If it was the other way around, we'd be wondering why Kipre chose midtable Championship mediocrity instead of breaking into a Premier League team for more money.

Williams at CB is underestimated. He held the back line together today with his experience. Not favoured by Mowbray, it seems, nor by many on here, but we are going to need him alongside Lenihan against Bournemouth at this rate.

I think the problem is that we're still relying on players like Williams.

Bit more than that. We need two CBs, at least one LB, another keeper and that's a minimum. Ideally we would be looking to improve in other areas too rather than sticking with the same old.

So there's 4 signings needed and quickly. Given it seems to take weeks and weeks to get one done and with the League kicking off in 9 days time it really is a shocking situation to be in.

The excuses will come thick and fast.

First it will be telling people to wait until October when the window closes. Then there will be sob stories about Covid 19, no money, FFP, travel restrictions, quarantine, unusual circumstances, targets getting poached by other clubs, the stars not aligning as hoped. Everyone else can find a way to get the bare minimum in the building. Our scenario has been unfolding before our eyes for 2 years and we still haven't solved it.

There's fans making excuses for the ground looking like a shithole and the club not opening the shop. You can be damn sure they'll be lining them up for our lack of transfer activity.

I hope people realize all this agent Benno stuff is what gets him in the team all the time when often/mostly he shouldn't be. He ain't daft he knows how to keep himself relevant beyond being a utility man. Team captain and the manager is scared stiff of sidelining him, remember that when he's being slated this season after games.

He works hard and takes our plan onto the pitch!

Any reason we can think of why all the other local clubs (mostly with similar sized fanbases or smaller) have come to the conclusion that it is a sound business decision to have their shops open, kits on sale, STs available whilst we don’t?

    The crickets speak volumes.
