  1. There is a cracking deal in the papeers for the C Cup Final.

Ticket, travel, bandb overnight travelling from Chorley, Leigh and Bolton £129.00.

Yeah, Omega Holidays someone has said. Unfortunately 7 month old twins means it's a no go for me! under strict orders to be there and back in the day

  2. koi - I was thinking the same, getting tickets via Wigan but went on the Challenge Cup website last night and got my tickets within a few minutes - thanks Clare! I had to register but got the £41 tickets in the west/Wigan end, more or less behind the sticks.

Yeah I noticed that, if non of us can get to the DW tomorrow we might go via that website - was wondering if it's slightly cheaper for ST holders (doubt it) but the Warriors site is down due to heavy use. Not been to the new Wemberleey.

Just noticed one ticket per ST holder! WTF!! We have non-ST holders wanting to go, no point going through the club now.

  3. No idea what was going on in JT's head when that ball he threw the ball out to George - one thing for sure he'll get a mega rollocking. Good to see the officials doing their best to knock us out.

Not looked at the tickets for Wemberley yet, I think we've got 'till Thursday to get the tickets before they go on general sale. Only slight prob, I've also got two tickets for Jason Manford at Southport for that Saturday night, need to shift them now!

  4. just to put everything and everybody, back into perspective....buy your tickets now for the WCC in february, cause australia's team are rising from the ashes and fingers crossed, will be making another trip to england next feb....."YOUR MIGHTY MELBOURNE STORM, ARE BACK AFTER FIVE YEARS OF SERIOUS SALARY CAP CHEATING, ACCOUNTING FRAUD AND ANNUAL LOSSES IN THE MILLIONS....LOOK OUT"!!!!

    Corrected it for you :glare:

  5. Revenge is sweet! Warrington bossed the game at the DW earlier this season and deserved their win but we did more than avenge that this afternoon in an absolute classic. The lads were up for it from the off and I thought our pack was immense. Everyone played their part and whilst Warrington came back into the game well and had the momentum at one point, Wigan moved through the gears in the second half. Scoring 44 points at Warrington is no mean feat. The atmosphere was electric, a sunny, warm day, a noisy, sellout crowd and the sheer joy on the lads' faces at the end spoke volumes for the performance and what it meant to both them and the superb Wigan following.

Thought Coley/Lima/Mossop really gave the Wire pack serious grief, oh yeah and of course Lockers who is so good in every game I often forget to mention him! Only real downside from our POV was more signs that Josh/Joel is a very vulnerable defensive combo at times and Hock was miles off the pace. Was surprised Cross didn't get a game after last week.

  6. What a fantastic game, watched every minute of it. Beats footie hands down.

Easily, I'd like to see a footballer compete at anything like that intensity never mind handle the power in those hits. It was a full blooded 80 minute battle with some sublime pieces of skill and superb set plays ( the second Wigan try was pure text book).

  7. Poor they were, probably the worst conditioned team I've seen for a long time. Good to see Gaz starting to get back in the groove, a truly terrifying prospect to play against when on his game. Decent start from Cross too, nothing special but he's a battering ram and gets nasty in the tackle, proper old school prop! Still think we've not quite got enough to beat Wire but who knows....

  8. Yes that try should never have been allowed.

Couldn't happen to a nicer team though ;)

Oh god yeah! The cheats getting cheated, fabulous, just a pity it happens to every team and not just Leeds. Anyway, I'm sure Hetherington will be on the phone to the RFL first thing...

  9. :D Any news on next season's home shirt and if it will be going back to a more traditional cherry & white hooped design? I must admit that this season's home shirt has grown on me but it is still the worst in a long time imo. I bought the 1989 Challenge Cup Final shirt in blue and white (absolute belter) instead!

Games have been coming thick and fast for Wigan of late, hope the lads aren't too jaded today. Should have enough to register another win....not sure I should have posted that, may come back to bite me on the arse...

IL said at the last fans forum that the next shirt will be traditional, every third change of shirt will be something different or at least that's how I understand it. The current shirt hasn't grown on me, I still hate it

I'm not that confident, too many carrying knocks. Pity we couldn't get Ben Cross a Visa, I think he would've given us some steel.

  10. If there's a worse ref in professional sport I've yet to see him/her :angry2: That Terry Halibut is a disgrace and as for those two muppets running the line, do they not know what offside is?? :angry2:

No excuse for a very poor first half though, we should never have got sucked in by Leeds spoiling tactics.

  11. Awesome performance from the pack which put our backs on the front foot, something we've been struggling to do this season. Looking forward to Leeds, I genuinely hate 'em with a passion (more than Wire...just) and love nothing more than giving them a good thrashing...

  12. I'm struggling to get to the games at the moment, tonights is touch and go but I think I've squared it!

Something fishy going on at Wolves - Paul Woods, a squad player at best, has just signed a £94k p/a contract (Mrs Woods has been telling all), that's incredible, how much are the main players on? I do know that a new rule is coming in or may even be live now which allows certain players to be taken off the cap but it is strict. I think the only player at Wigan who will come off the cap is Lockers so I can't see who Wolves have got in the Lockers category?

Got to say I'm really really looking forward to Gaz coming back, the guy looks an animal and ready to kill! No way would I like to be the first person in when he takes that ball up for the first time, I'd just step to one side and let him through! Saying that, saw big Stu the other day, he is looking in better shape than ever, again I wont get in his way!

  13. There was the Blackburn Knights (originally Accrington RL) that played at Blackburn RU, they played in the NW Counties. I doubt they're still going as interest was non-existent in Blackburn though I might be wrong. Go down the road to Accrington and you'll find quite a few decent amateur clubs and there's a thriving junior game in the area - I wouldn't be surprised to see a few in the Wigan set-up before too long.

Go to a game, it's eye-opening, try to get near the pitch for your first game and experience the intensity of the game, it'll make you laugh when you watch football after that! It's cheap to get on the DW and tickets are available for most games.

  14. Union is much better :P

Unizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, sorry dozed off just thing about it. Only decent thing about Union is that I was good and it didn't hurt half as much as League which ruined my legs.

Cracking game, always delighted to see the Stains go home in a sulk.

  15. Yeaman threw the first punch in the fight and JT returned with some decent shots. The sensible thing to do would have been giving both 10 mins and cooling the game but that's not Gansons style. I knew it wouldn't end well when JT asked Sam for the ball from the penalty. It was stupid but Yeaman deserved it after some of the shots he put on Sam. Saying that Lockers or the props should have taken the ball and left JT out of a few tackles. Other than that a poor game very badly reffed. Wigan need some faces back and a decent centre to replace Gleeson.
