  1. Fury is a complete keaning keaner. The guy is just a big lump, get him in the ring with a half-talented boxer and he'll be finished in no time. I've no doubt that Haye will make short work and I even reckon Chisora would have it done within six.

Got to be a no-brainer for Lennox at that money. I also suspect that training with David Price has made Lennox realise just how poor the division is these days.

  2. Just back, voice gone! What a hell of a 2nd half performance that was. I said I was confident before the game and I still was at HT as wolves looked knackered and we were only slightly out sync - due to the pitch dimensions I think but I was confident we'd make up the points difference and put at least two converted tries on them.

Anyway, quite possibly my favourite GF.

  3. Was very confident before the leeds game and I'm confident we'll win on Saturday.

When does the relegation and promotion start again?

Just seen that Rochdale have stuffed Oldham, a Rovers win and Rochdale promoted,Tyrone will be like a dog with two todgers. Don't get Oldham though, they have a thriving RL scene, the could be a decent outfit.

Just watched it all - hadn't found out the score all day (which is quite easy to do in Ireland tbh) :D :D :D

Great ending too with Sam scoring, hope he's here next year to do it again

Everyone I spoke too yesterday said he's going but Sam hasn't actually confirmed it to anyone. However, if Matty Bowen is to come I'd say that providing he's fit and his knee's aren't crocked like some say, he's better than Sam at this moment in time. If he continues his current form in SL next year he will rip teams apart.

  5. All of the Burgess family is living out there now and I'm pretty sure at least one of the brothers has started a family over there so I doubt they'll be returning soon. Don't forget Graham is ripping it up plus Tommy Lulu is finally finding his feet at NZW.

The ESL wont be able to compete with the NRL for the foreseeable future, the cap is just too big and there's no motivation in the English game to change and the RFL are so inept they wont find alternatives.

  6. Noticed that 70-0 result. Jesus christ! Out of interest, which is seen as the stronger league, ours, or the NRL? I know there are quite a few Aussies/Kiwis/Islanders over here, but are they the better guys, or those who couldn't get into the NRL teams?

Now it's very much the NRL, they have a much larger salary cap and are picking off the best of our talent. I'd still say that the top two/three clubs in SL would be competing at the top of the NRL and the bottom clubs in the NRL would be middle of SL but that'll change.

I took no pleasure out of the result yesterday, all it was show the gulf between the top and bottom clubs. I had hoped the London players would've risen to the challenge but once they felt the power of our forwards they crumbled.

Clare, unlucky, still Rovers might give you a chance of going to Wembley next year

  7. Yep cracking result really. Of course there was some really stupid RL played but that's understandable. Was really impressed with Taylor, he is going to be one hell of a forward and no doubt will be NRL bound before too long! Thought Logan T had a good game and I don't really rate him but he showed something. Going forward we're only short in the wingers and hooker department so who ever is the coach next season wont have to do much tinkering.

  8. You might be happy to see top players leave domestic RL but I'm not especially when they are ours and have been trained through the academy. We've now lost Chris Ashton, Owen Farrell, Joel Tomkins, Gareth Hock and Lee Mossop, who all came through the academy. I know for a fact that Liam Farrell and Josh Charnley are getting some serious attention and Wigan have confirmed Sam will be off to the NRL next year. As for RL dying, it will with the way it's going but definitely not for the reasons stated above.

  9. This talk of Mossop going to the Eels is interesting. One of the Eels scouts is very good friends of my mate and the bloke I always go to rugby with. He came over last year and we took him to a few games. Jokingly I asked he who he's going to recommend to which he replied Mossop and Prescott. Prescott wont get a consideration now and I though Mossop's injuries would have put any move in doubt but it does seem that he could be off.

  10. Lovely ground isn't it! I used to work just up the road and on many occasions it would be full of mist whilst being totally clear elsewhere, a ground that does need visiting though. Faz has surprised me, I've always thought he was a decent player but short of being in the elite, this season could change that.
