Me too!
Which is why I asked Bangali Fode Koita and he said Vale is the pick of the bunch
I’ve watched the U23’s quite a lot as I live near the LFA in Leyland. Vale was a sub v Burnley at Ewood late November - when asked to get ready to come on in the second half by Billy Barr he had a massive sulk on. Billy turned to him and said “And change that f*****g face before you get on the pitch” (I was sat next to the dug out). He did not look interested one bit. I suspect he has an attitude problem. Probably sulking as Brereton and Samuel got the nod before him.
When he’s focussed he’s decent. Not the tallest.

Bennett is an absolute liability. He shouldn’t be anywhere near that side. So many times in that first half he could have cost us a goal. It’s laughable how much Mowbray likes him.
Johnson, Downing both very much an improvement. Gallagher did a good job out there. Travis was average today I thought but did do well at the weekend.
Makes life much more comfortable bringing Graham on off the bench to defend a lead.
Still a lot to work on. But 6 points is bloody brilliant from where I thought we would be at 3pm last sat.

Has it actually been confirmed Mulgrew has left?
No. A query over the timings of the paperwork.

We must be in discussion with some free agents. Have to be!

Either that or they're too scared to announce it - knowing the shit storm they'll get.
Maybe he’ll just be in the starting XI on Sat?

To be fair if this goes on any longer today I'll be wasted when he is announced
You’ve just made me go grab a beer.

Unless it’s Carlos Villanueva I’m not interested.

Has Gladwin left?
No. Still on the books. Rovers assisting his rehab - Not in a position to feature. (Sharpe)

The players who helped get us relegated in the first place all seem to have got a free pass on that by sticking around and helping us get promoted again... which was an absolute requirement rather than an achievement.
Coyle, and dross like Lowe, Ward, Guthrie, Akpan, Steele, Brown, Feeney etc all rightly get stick - don’t forget the likes of Mulgrew, Bennett and Evans were also a big part of that and the first two in particular struggled on their return to this level. Graham can obviously cut it, and hopefully Gallagher will redeem himself for that Preston fiasco by having a good season.
Anyway, Mulgrew will need to be on his game on Saturday - I like Lyle Taylor as a player, watched him a fair bit for Wimbledon when he was there. He’s busy and has excellent movement. I expect he will find a fair bit of space. I’d like to be looking forward to the game more, but I’m predicting a back 4 of Bennett, Lenihan, Mulgrew and Downing. That fills me with dread.
I think it could be...
Tosin Lenihan Mulgrew
Bennett Downing

Glad to see this racist nonsense getting another go-around in this thread.
Expected more of you - especially expected you to be aware of the fact that this is the article Sterling used as an example of the differences in tabloid coverage of black and white players.
We don’t know why this deal is falling through. Maybe he’s a massive tw*t. News flash - most footballers are.
May also be us messing around or City messing around.
Let’s just stop sharing this complete shit.
That’s a rather sweeping generalisation - if you want to start highlighting people as racists.

I'd take Wes Brown
Bobby Brown, Chubby Brown. Anyone.

Isn’t Chris Samba a free agent now... I’d take anyone to be honest ?.
The problems have been obvious for a while now and for TM to not have addressed these adequately is shocking. We cannot go into the season with a back line like the one we have. I am an advocate for TM and I think he has done a wonderful job for our club - But come on now.

Assuming he is physically fit, do you not think at least cameos in the under 23s is the best way to build up said match fitness?
I don’t think cameos are the way forward. But he could get some decent/consistent game time in that side. Unless of course the plan is he will be considered for the first XI sooner than we thought. I did expect to see him on that team sheet last night regardless of the opposition.

Did he play for the under 23's last night? Saw a tweet from Sharpe or have a misunderstood?
No he didn’t. The U23’s were poor last night. Everton were a class above. Could have won by 5 or 6. Makes me wonder how far off Rodwell is if he isn’t getting a game in there.

52.4.2 No Club may sign more than 4 Players on a Temporary Loan Transfer from another Club (or club) in any Season, of which no more than 2 Players may be over the age of 23. The deadline for determining a Player’s age in this respect shall be as at the 30th June prior to the Season in which the Temporary Loan Transfer is intended to take place. Any Temporary Loan Transfer which subsequently becomes a permanent transfer (which can occur any time during the period of the Temporary Loan Transfer) shall not count against a Club’s quota of such Temporary Loan Transfers for that Season.
Thanks.
So 5 in the match day squad.

At any one time or only five allowed in the starting eleven and subs?
I’m not 100% sure. Think it’s possible to have more in a match day squad, say 6/7 but only 5 can play.

How many loans are we allowed? Palmer, Reed and soon to be Brereton (albeit with an obligation to buy) so far.
Allowed as many as you want but can only play 5 at one time.
