  1. Who are the other 15?

I bet at least half of them are garbage.

Of the 16 debuts at No. 1, 10 of them came between 1995 and 1998. Until the end of 1998, a song could only chart on the Hot 100 if it was released as a commercially available single...so previously it was easier - as now he's only been on digital purchases, not commerical shop sales!!

    Number-one debuts

Michael Jackson — "You Are Not Alone" (September 2, 1995)

    Mariah Carey — "Fantasy" (September 30, 1995)

Whitney Houston — "Exhale (Shoop Shoop)" (November 25, 1995)

Mariah Carey and Boyz II Men — "One Sweet Day" (December 2, 1995)

Puff Daddy and Faith Evans featuring 112 — "I'll Be Missing You" (June 14, 1997)

    Mariah Carey — "Honey" (September 13, 1997)

Elton John — "Candle in the Wind 1997" / "Something About the Way You Look Tonight" (October 11, 1997)

Céline Dion — "My Heart Will Go On" (February 28, 1998)

    Aerosmith — "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" (September 5, 1998)

Lauryn Hill — "Doo Wop (That Thing)" (November 14, 1998)

    Céline Dion and R. Kelly — "I'm Your Angel" (December 5, 1998)

Clay Aiken — "This Is the Night" (June 28, 2003)

    Fantasia — "I Believe" (July 10, 2004)

Carrie Underwood — "Inside Your Heaven" (July 2, 2005)

Taylor Hicks — "Do I Make You Proud" (July 1, 2006)

    Britney Spears — "3" (October 24, 2009)[2]

Eminem — "Not Afraid" (May 2010)[3]

  2. Disappointed because I used to feel that he has one genuinely brilliant album in him, but it looks unlikely that it'll ever happen. What's the new track like? What kind of stuff of his is it similar to?

Perhaps a good sign of the track is that it has gone straight in to number 1 in the US billboard - 1 of only 16 artists to ever manage it in 52 years! Must be doing something right eh! B)

  3. Love his first LP but has been getting progressively worse since then as he's run out of things to be legitimately angry about. Marshall Mathers LP had its moments too, but very little since then has been up to the standard he's capable of. Disappointed because I used to feel that he has one genuinely brilliant album in him, but it looks unlikely that it'll ever happen. What's the new track like? Listen to it on youtube - its a good song, he claims he's now out of all his mess & depression - and hopefully the new album will be really good.

  4. It's still got the same name Hughesy, still called Franco's.

A few years ago the best in my opinion was Quattro's at Samlesbury, I havn't been since it changed it's name to Nuraghes or whatever it is now.

We are going to Mangiamo's at Darwen with some friends on Tuesday night and tonight the wife went to Parmesan and Pepper at Abbey Village

Quattros was the best the last time I went - however like you said its changed name - so I havent been since or heard anything about the quality.

Mangiamo's is our normal place for an Italian as its not too far away & good quality.

Never tried Parmesan & Pepper either following lots of mixed reports.

Very Funny on the Francos! You know if its still any good or not?

  5. I used to be a regular in Francos in Ossy.

Decent prices. Food was good last time I went a week or 2 ago.

We had to wait over an hour for a table, though, which wasn't ideal.

You know Horwich, I think, Hughesy. Have you tried Leos?

Yeah I know Horwich, however iv heard alot of mixed reports about Leos & that its expensive for the quality...so never tested it myself. El Torro is nice in Horwich if you havent tried it.

Francos used to have a good name - anyone else know if its still good? Might try that one!
