Claytons Left Boot Posted April 8, 2006 Posted April 8, 2006 I regard this game as one of the best ever atmospheres at an away ground in my 40 years watching Rovers. It was the night United regained the title as we got beaten 2-1. However, the fairy tale was only in its early stages and in excess of 5,000 travelled down to create a party atmosphere. Large flags were draped everywhere and the noise from Rovers fans was incessant. I remember Andy Gray commenting on the din when I watched it on Sky a few days later. I've still got it on tape somewhere. Can't remember anything about the game but our fans that night were magical.
