[Archived] Ipod 80gb Video

Does anyone know a way of getting tv shows to appear on your iPod. I put some family guy onto my iPod but it went into the movies section. I then changed the info of the file in iTunes to TV Show, all well and good, now it shows in the TV shows section in iTunes. However when i synced my iPod it didnt show up at all. Not in tv shows or movies. I read somewhere that its because its not a tv show bought from iTunes, but does anyone know of a way round this?

P.s. anyone have any useful tips about the 5th gen ipods?

Anybody know how to put dvd's etc. onto them? Can't seem to convert them into the correct format for itunes and can't be arsed paying for them from itunes when i already own them!

Toast and Quicktime will both do that, as will EyeTV if you've recorded programmes off the telly. But I only have a 4th generation iPod so have no need to do any of that!
