A quick look on Saturday revealed it is called 'The Arkles' (pl) so I guess it's the trees and not the Racehorse then.

Arkle the racehorse never ran at Liverpool (Aintree) so I wouldnt have thought they would name a pub after him.

Arkle was a Cheltenham hero. 3 Gold Cups.

Excellent game on Saturday.

I thought Savage had a great game. He chased everything. He was very disruptive to the opposition. He made shed loads of successful passes - not defence splitting spectacuar passes but short effective passes.

We have many discussions in our house about how effective he is. I can understand that when his game is not quite on form, he appears to run around like a headless chicken not quite geting there. But when his game is working his contribution is imense and the foundation for others.
