Iceman
trying to convert a 1TB external hard drive, from NTFS to Fat32 on a Mac. Ive gone to disk utility, then to clicked on the drive and clicked the erase button. Went to the volume drop down, but dont see the Fat32. Is MS DOS the same as or is Fat32? Glenn
Yes, although it's incorrectly labled. MS DOS actually used FAT16 (as did early versions of Windows), but I've seen FAT32 mislabled as MSDOS before now.
BangkokRover
Is there any reason you wanted to use FAT32?
Iceman
Yes. When I had the hard drive plugged into my Mac, it didn't want me to copy the files over from my old hard drive. My old drive was fat32, but my new one was NTFS or something like that. So only way I knew, was to change the new drive to Fat32.
